I went on a paintball trip on my 20th birthday (I'm now 22 as of this past Monday). It was cool, but the one thing that stands out in my head is when I was hiding in this sheet metal shed, listening to the paintballs hit the sides and for some reason (possibly ESP), I turned around and saw a girl aiming her paintball gun at me. So what do I do? I fire back, screaming, "I don't wanna die!"

Another thing I remember was getting bruises on my left shoulder, left thigh, both butt cheeks, and freaking out thinking I was going blind, when really the paintball shot hit my goggles and not my eyes.

If this were a war movie, I'd probably be the freaked out private (or the black guy) who dies first.

In Winnipeg where I live, paintball is very popular. The president of the anime club I attend and most of his friends go out paintballing with other people every weekend. He says it's addicting because of the thrill to survive when you're out there on the battlefield. he also says you gotta be really aware of your surroundings or you're screwed. :p

I remember my first time when i was like 14, i got shot on my collor bone and had a bruise there for a week. This other guy who was on my side got shot in the crotch and came up to me saying "i got shot in the f***in d***", then was like "i hope i can work it tonight?".

And have you ever tasted paint? its as thick as that stuff you put on your toster strudel, but doesnt taste like the the stuff either, more like... paint. i got shot in the mouth and had my mouth open, which both are bad regardless...

Ah yes... its a great sport!

I played once for my cousin's boyfriend's birthday. We were lucky to have gathered a big enough group to have the courses to ourselves. I wouldn't have wanted to play against the hardcore regulars with their army fatigues and sniper rifles.

While I had fun the next day was excruciatingly painful. Every major muscle group was so sore just getting out of bed was impossible and I had bruises the size of teacups.

Paintball seems to be one of the more geek-friendly sports.

I wanted too, but never did. I had people I knew and a cousin that played, so I know stories. I always wanted to do CQB rather than open field games because of the limited range. Now I'd rather go for live fire tactical target shooting, but gees is that ever expensive.

Hope you didn't swallow it. You'd have to wash your whole mouth with a gallon of mouthwash just to even attempt to get that bad taste out.

No Dark Fact, i didnt swallow it, and what i used to get the taste out was a 20oz of Mountain Dew, after like a 100 gurggles, i was able to taste some...

If you guys wanna know a less painful version of paintball, but have the coolest guns, there AIRSOFT!! i did that for a year with my friends on the weekends, it was a great stress releaver to hold a replica gun and blast at someone!!!!

My roommate just went to his first paintball game yesterday and got bruised in a few places. He had a lot of fun, but that kind of sport isn't for me. (I much prefer laser tag...less mess and pain.)

I've never tried paintball and I don't really want to. It looks fun but I'm a street and ice hockey player who'd rather punch someone than shoot them.

Its usually a joke when you go paintballing with guys and you have some girls there then you talk amongst yourself saying "i think after she gets home she'll find she has a third nipple"!:D:eek:
