Yeah, I'm not the type to post stuff like this, but I'm just too upset right now.

My rabbit, Rosie, just died at around the age of 3. We're not quite sure why she died.

She was a good bunny, who liked to chase me around the room, and she loved to be fed and played with regularly.

I'll really miss the sound of her playing with her little bunny toys and clanging against her cage while running around in it. :crying:

Yea i had one of those, but it ran away...

But my dad took my dog to this place where they either will help her or put her down, which i think to make things better than her in a cage suffering.

But i know how death is for a pet, so take it easy Veemon.

Not sure what could have happened to yours, but most rabbits live about ten years.

Too bad it can't be longer. They seem like great animals.

Anyway, as for Veemonjosh, sorry for your loss. It sounds like you had a lot of fun with your rabbit. Well, now it's up there at the Rainbow Bridge.

I'm so sorry :crying: . The pain from loosing a loved one, pet or human, hurts for a while until you eventually find the stength to move on, even if it's just a little.
Just remember the fun times to had with your rabbit, and that it's healed from what ever it was sick with.
sorry for your loss:(

I know how it feel. My cat died not too long ago. I'm very sorry for your loss. Just remember all the good times, and know that she no longer has to deal with her pain.

Sorry your rabbit died. Losing a pet can be sad.

That's weird that it died after only three years. Had you taken it to the vet recently? Maybe it had some kind of undetected sickness.

I've already tried to express empathy, but seeing this thread makes me want to say it again. I feel so badly for you, and I hope you feel better soon. Try to make the memories you have of Rosie happy thoughts.

Sorry to hear that, Josh. Losing someone close is always hard, whether it's a person or a pet. Pets are so often members of our families that it's hard to distinguish. Remember the good times you had and just let your grief take its course

I'm sad I had to hear that happened, Josh. I've had rabbits before, and 3 of them passed away, so I know how it feels. :crying: I hope you feel better soon, and I'm sorry for your loss.

Sorry, man. I know how it feels to lose a pet, remembering when my cat died several years ago. It's a really bad feeling, and I understand how you feel.

Sorry for your loss, and I hope you feel better soon.

It would of happen eventually... One day we'll all face death in the eye, some will scream others will cry, and some may laugh their butts off.

Funny, my sister got a hamster about 2 years ago, and I didn't care much for it then. Still after all this time I havent' touched it once. Though I bet you a $100 bucks I have stronger feelings for it than my sister. Once that poor little fuzzy guy goes I'll be hurt...

She just kinda stopped eating, then her back legs became paralyzed, and then she just laid on her side for two days, with the only signs of life being slow breathing and occasional twitching.

We hadn't taken it to the vet in a long time, and when the bunny started getting sick, my mom refused to take her to the vet in fear of Rosie being put down, because she wanted her to pass away at home.

Weird idea came into head, what if the same concept worked for everyone else in the family?:o  jk...

They can't just kill it on the spot can they? I don't know that much about pets and vets so and answer would be appreciated.

My family is really poor, so we can't afford vet trips.

Heck, we could barely afford getting the cats fixed.

Wait didn't you just say your Mom refused to take her there in fear of being put down? Or did you not mean that (put down) in a way of death?, but more so of being rejected?

I know what it's like being poor... no more yu-gi-oh cards for me...

Well, my mom refused to take the bunny to the vet because she didn't want the bunny to die outside of the house, and because we can't afford it anyways.

I'm sorry about your loss, Josh. (She must have been a pretty healthy one to "chase you around the room" :anime: )

It might have been possible that your rabbit died of a disease called ovarian cancer. It's something that female rabbits catch if they are not "sprayed". I'm sorry if it feels like I'm putting the guilt on you or your family. (But trips to the vet are expensive.) It's just that my older sister once had a bunny that didn't live long either... And the vet asked if she was sprayed or not.

I am so sorry, veemonjosh. :crying: I hope you feel better soon.

I can really sympathize with you right now because I've lost so many pets in the past and I may lose another soon. It looks like I may have to put my cat down because he's recently been diagnosed with kidney disease. He is so sick right now, throwing up (including all the pills we've given him since Monday), severely constipated, very lethargic...What hurts so bad is the suddenness of it all. He was acting just fine up until a couple of days ago. And now I wonder if he will make it to the end of the week. I completely understand how your Mom must have felt...I keep praying God just takes him in his sleep because I really don't want to have to drive him to the vets to be put down. But I don't want him to suffer too much, either. I just can't stand to see animals suffering.

Well, now it's up there at the Rainbow Bridge.

That is a really beautiful poem...but also one of the saddest ones I've ever read.

Yeah, that might've been it.

that's really upset thing... sorry man.

BTW, our neighbor has many dog pets, around fourty (really noisy) but they are healthy (puppies are cute), but some of them just die with any explained cause or sickness...

an old man on the next door qoute something, "pets are saviors, instead someone in the family get sick or some bad things happen to them, pets served as sacrifice for them, some pets in healthfulness one day get sick or die..."

i wonder if it is true...

If it is, do you have to accept the reverse? That maybe you take on your pets diseases to save them from suffering?
