The reason it's pulled off the Fix is because the stream then moves over to AnimeVillage.com.

Uh, no. It's not, because animevillage.com is no longer doing it.

On topic, we now have a justification for the "American cowboys" card! Because this episode of E7 is rated TV-MA!
We finally know more about Dominic, Anemone, and Jurgens (the captain). Sadly, we continue to learn more about Dewey's degree of creepiness and total ******baggery. I hope he dies. And Dominic and Anemone have mad sex. Also, the scene between Dom and Anemone's pet was funny as hell.

Quick question: who seems to be more interested with what happens with Dom and Anemone than Renton, Eureka, and the kids on Earth? It wasn't until the end of this ep that the Nirvash-on-Earth story got interesting, IMO.

Why did they stop? That was the whole point of ending the stream on Fridays.Anime Village stopped sometime in the mid 20's. However, it was and is the reason that Eureka Seven is pulled early off Fix. The license was set up that way and they have to stick to it no matter what Anime Village finally ended up doing (currently the link for AV takes you to a online store selling Bandai DVD's, btw). They can't change a license after the fact (unless Bandai lets them and they aren't from the looks of things).

Why Bandai stopped doing it, I haven't a clue, but I don't think it was a ratings issue per se. They also took down their sales (downloaded episodes, that is) of other shows like GSD and Fantastic Children, from the looks of it, so they may just have decided streaming wasn't going to work for them and dropped it.

I have yet to see this episode, but so far reading through the thread I can happily raise my hand to that. Yeah Yeah, Renton and Eureka are the main characters and all, but something about Dom X Anemone really grabs hold of my heart.

I think it has more to do with their partnership with Amazon Unbox than ratings. At least, that's what I get from what you said since AV's stop point coincides with the start of the Unbox partnership.

The women of E-Seven are most peculiar folk
They've desperation sickness, and this is not a joke
Shame for poor old Dominic, whose girlfriend is a B,
He's made less progress with females than Shinji Ikari!

Humanoid Coralions from juvenile guinea pigs
What was Dewey thinking within those Warsaw digs?
Please take my suggestion before more lives are lost:
Take your plans and stick them up your KLF exhaust!

Psycho-chick's been fired, and Dewey must depend
On a new replacement to fly his type TheEnd
He shoots up little girlies to prove his theory
That with a friend like this new girl, who needs Anemone?

Renton and Eureka, stuck in the Promised Land
A really awesome make-out scene would surely be at hand
If not for three stray passengers who come up to their knees
'Cause they have yet to learn about the Coralions and the bees!

This episode slightly reminded me of NGE, with all the guts and blood splashing. The part that really creeped me out however, was those girls in the lab. Killing them was insane. Dewy you sick freak! Just leave Dom and Anemone(sp?) alone and go do something else besides try to take over the world or w.e you bad guys do.

Speaking of kids, Eureka's are annoying the heck out of me.

--ya know, I thought I saw that book cover again with the naked woman on it hanging in the lab, but maybe thats just a different picture of a naked woman? They looked pretty simillar.

I thought this was a great episode. The scene at the end with Anemone laying down with the flower that domonic gave her was simply picture perfect! You just know she's thinking about domonic and wondering if she'll ever see him again. She looked like she was waiting for dewy to send soilders to kill her. I've never seen her so depressed; its as if she's given up all hope.
What is Domonic going to do becuase it does look like Anemone is going to last much longer.

I hope Dominic starts growing some balls from this point and start kicking ass in later episodes. Really, he has no excuse not to after what he's seen. It was a nice episode, though, they really need to start moving Renton/Eureka's situation. I know it's been only two episodes, but all this sitting around and worrying makes it seem like an eternity.

Upon re-viewing this ep, I was reminded of Dom's reaction when the Anemone replacements died. I would have spewed chunks in a toilet too after witnessing 3 innocent girls die in front of my eyes. Then again, I did laugh at that scene. (the puke scene, not the death scene)

And Rei as well. The fake clones of Anemone remind me of Rei clones.

They weren't clones though, just other girls who were suffering from Desperation.

Speaking of which, what's up with Desperation anyway? Was there ever any indication given about why it only seems to affect girls, and how it's connected to Anemone? I find it to be one of the most interesting elements of the show, but we're only given so much to piece together about it.

Although I guess everyone will be discussing that particular topic a lot more come episode 49.

bigdeath
03-11-2007, 02:41 PM
Desperation sickness is basicly were a person hears the Coralian's voice. Remmender traper waves are just the Coralian's thoughts. If a person can hear the voice they go into a trance, like a dream you can't wake up from. As to why it only seems to affect girls, I have no i dear. However, considering the coralian have only made girls/coralian hybrids, I would guess the alien just likes underage girls. You see even aliens can be perverts

oh, and before i forget, the limit of thoughts theory in the anime is based of a real theory that there is a limit to how much energy an area can hold. If there is to much the area colapses into a black hole. And since Coralian thought are manifst as energy.............. well you get the point.

So Dominic has lost his family to the war too.
Why is he working for Dewey, then? Let's see how Anemone will be able to get herself out of this predicament.
The Deckhart guy looks evil and sneaky. Those poor girls. :crying: What has he done to them.
Dominic should take charge and not let any more girls suffer to become next Anemone!
Kids found some fruit to eat, at least they are being useful.
Is there something wrong with Eureka? she acts all hostile towards Renton. Why is she mad at him? Does she hate being lost on planet Earth?
We finally found out what has been done to Anemone, to make her act like that. Is Dewey trying to create more Eurekas' from humans? What a horrible thing to do.
Poor Anemone, she is lying there thinking about Dominic no doubt. Those two always had a special connection even from the beginning!
Holand did get hurt in that explosion. Let's hope he gets better by the next episode.
What is so important about the magazine featuring Renton and Eureka on the cover?
Eureka is turning back into a antibody corralian? I'm surprised the kids didn't get scared of her.
Let's see what Dominic and Renton decide to do next week to fix their current situation.

Adults, younger adults.. probably 13+ at least I'm guessing. I don't know for sure. It has always been an interesting subject. I think the kids showing no fear of their mother's sort of transformation I guess you could say is a good thing for her. What were those women exactly? Were they Kerallians who were modified by plastic surgery to have humanoid bodies? Or were they clones of Eureka? Or were they ordinary human girls abducted by Dewey to be turned into pilots? And were their deaths an accident?

And has Earth been depopulated? ( Good thing they have enough fuel to fly from Japan all the way to West Africa ).

They may have been in Africa to begin with and Renton mistakenly thought it was Japan.

Or they're in Japan and Renton mistakenly thinks they're in Africa.

Or it's a plothole that the writers hope nobody notices...

You know, I thought about that later after I had posted. I had completely forgotten about the whole exodus thing. To be fair, however, I don't know that it was explicitly stated that every single human left...or maybe they did say that and I'm just stupid. If they were high enough to see the entire mass of the Japan islands, there is a good chance they would have had an entry trajectory that would take them at least a half orbit away from there. They could have landed almost anywhere.

Don't forget the Nirvash(sp?) had its armor refit so it could transform into an airplane-like configuration, probably in anticipation of this flight in the absense of trappars.

I've noticed no one brought up the point about Holland being on his deathbed after piloting that new LFO an episode or two ago. I didn't understand the explanation that was given, but it did have something to do with the liquids that were being pumped in and out of his system at the time of piloting.

Dewey's a bastard, plain and simple, experimenting on girls like that. Has he no shame? But at least we know how Anemone came to be the way she is.

I'm loving how Maurice is maturing, almost to Renton's level, before our very eyes. It's about the only interesting thing happening on that island...

Oh, right... Eureka's freaky green glow. Yeah...

And why did Holland give Renton a gun? Somebody's gonna shoot their eye out. X_X

"It's All in the Mind": 3.5/5.Basically, he's taking drugs in order to pilot this new LFO, and they're putting tremendous strain on his mental and physical health. He's kind of like a druggie from SEED, he's piloting an LFO that is above his physical capabilities so he has to take drugs in order to do it.
