You have all seen the Fisher Price: Rescue Heroes toys, right? Well, looks like Spider-Man is getting into that game. At the UK Toy Fair, Toy Biz unveiled its new "Kid Friendly" Spider-Man & Friends toy line.
Basically, its Spider-Man, sculpted to look more like the Rescue Heroes Toys...yup. The first wave consists of Spidey, Spider-Girl(???Maybe its just Spider-Woman, only younger??), Captain America, & The Hulk(Who is wearing torn street cloths..and what appears to be a walkman).
Sure, the toys look kinda cool(In a goofy sorta way..), but...here's the REALLY BAD part..
Future lines will consist of other "kid friendly" versions of popular Marvel characters(if they release a Wolverine with a smile on his face..I swear), The variants of Spider-Man will be "Spider-Man in Cop uniform" "Fireman Spider-Man" "Construction Worker Spider-Man". AHHHHH!!!!!!!!!
I can imagine myself picking up the Spider-Man figure..and Captain America...but...geeze....

Kiddification sucks...

Could be worse.

Could be kiddified McFarlane toys.

"Look kids! It's a Clown! If you pull on his arm, he becomes a happy smily lizard thing!"

Thank goodnes it's not kiddified Batman... It would ruin the dark, brooding image...

Do you have pictures of these? If so, where can we see them? Thanks man!

I would buy a Construction Worker Spider-Man. It'll look great in my office someday when I'm a rich tycoon. Let my puny employees stare at my Construction Worker Spider-Man while I scrutinize their work output...

This has actually going on for quite some time. Go into Toys R Us, and you can find Spider-Man as a surfer, Spider-Man as a basketball player... yikes.

Personally, I think it's kind of cute, having these little figures for the kiddies. It's not like they're replacing the entire line with these figures, they're just trying to give the pre-schoolers something to play with too.
Here are some pics, thanks to http://www.action-figure.com/

They're making toys for kids now?!? What next? ;)

Maybe Spider-Man and Friends are pals with the Looney Tunes babies...
