Hey, everyone! It's your good ol' 80s-minded buddy Captain Caps, with stuff to ask and talk about.

Sorry I haven't been posting recently. I've been contributing posts to a few other websites, and my personal life has been rather busy as well (friends, heavy verbal fights in the family, prepping for graduation and college). I try to post here whenever I can, but it's not that often that the opportunity presents itself to me.

On lighter notes:

1.) Brainatra: I will continue "Spaced-Out Warners" once I can sit still for an extended period of time (These next few months will be very exciting).

2.) Everyone: I have a few more ideas for fanfics in the works.

3.) Gookie: How was the tour? Since you're the voice expert on here, do you happen to have any information on or recent pictures of Sherri Stoner? I'm eager to find out more about her work (I'm also looking to get the DVD of "Reform School Girls", which costars Ms. Stoner).

4.) Craig: How's life on Long Island? Since I'm going to LIU-C.W Post Campus, it looks like we might be running in the same circles.

Well, it's time to get a move on. I'll be coming back. I don't know where or when, but I'll be coming back.

One final favor I ask of everyone on here: When its new season starts, please give "Saturday Night Live" another look. If it counts for anything, I've seen a few "Mad TV" sketches. I didn't laugh, but at least I saw them. Could you do the same for me?

See you where the road leads next.

Sincerely,

John "Captain Caps" Kilduff

Goodie! You're OK! Come back and stay soon!

I try to catch a little of SNL, but I'm taping Rocky and Bullwinkle and editing out the commercials, too. By the time they're off, the top skits are done, usually the singer is droning, and the poorer quality skits are standing by.

Yes! The Captain's back! Oh, Captain my captain... eh, okkay, that was a bit much, but haven't heard from you for months. It hasn't been the same without the '80's fix. I've been meaning to start some '80's posts, but...
Anyway, I'll get into that '80's club you e-mailed me about as soon as I figure out how to get past the front of it. Cool with that '80's station, tho. And I might try to see SNL, tho I've not really been into it since its Silver Age (late '80's, people). But otoh I've not really paid any attention to Mad TV since the first season.

Gookie, while you're answering voice questions, could you figure out who voiced Danforth & Margot inthe Perfecto sketches from TTA? It's been perplexing us on the ml.

don Jaime, I don't see the conflict. Maybe it's a different time zone, but here, Bullwinkle is in the half hour before SNL starts. And if there's a conflict there you could get the second showing late night. Altho if you don't have a dual-deck vcr I guess you'd be stuck with the commercials.

Well, I still think of Dudley as part of R&B, even though he's listed as a separate show. He's up against SNL.

I still miss "Wayne's World" skits. And Michael Jordan's appearance with Stuart Smalley is one of the funniest things I've ever seen on TV. The current SNL has a way to go still to match this track record.

Hey, man! Great to see ya!

Long Island's as lovely as ever. Always particularly pretty in the summer. (you know, I sometimes think I'm the only person on the Internet who doesn't despise my home-place.)

Well, the grade school across the street from me is currently having their annual summer thingee for the kiddies, and blaring lotsa pop music, making it impossible to concentrate on anything within a three block radius. That's pretty much my only complaint.

I'm actually playing at Post tomorrow. My school holds its graduation there every year, and the band is required to tag along to play a few selections. I used to like "Pomp and Circumstance" until I started doing these graduations. It gets rather tedious after the fifth or sixth time through.

Glad you're well anyway. Don't be a stranger!

It's amazing how suicidal being forced to listen to N*&%$@Sync songs can make a guy. Well, not all that amazing, I guess.

The URL: http://www.80sxchange.com/

How to join: On the right side of your screen, click the words "Become A Member". You'll need to fill in required information, and come up with a name and password...much like what you did when you first registered here.

nft and narf, you'll love this site. These people are true 80s folk. The 80s are anathema on the WBC, or so I've noticed. 80sxchange is the top 80s website.

I expect to see you there, nft and narf.

Sincerely,

John "Captain Caps" Kilduff

I haven't noticed that.

The one thing the WBC seems to "greatly revile or loath" is the way WB treats our favorite cartoons.

Well, I haven't played it enough to be sick of it, but I did play it for my old high school's graduation last week. Imo most of makes no sense & anyone who hasn't actually played it wouldn't know it to be from the same piece as the few measures familiar to anyone & everyone who's ever seen a graduation.

Oh, & NarfPinky, what Caps said, tho you might wanna know he goes by another handle there. Captain, I'm already there (Lonestar, 2001); I just haven't posted yet.

Nftnat, if you have time today, log in and make an introductory post. You'll love it. Feel free to read some posts before you make your presence known, so you can get a further idea about us. It may get a little wild in some places, but you'll understand.

Make a post, and tell 'em Large Marge...er, outofplacechild sent ya.

Sincerely,
