I just finished reading Vince's news at http://forums.toonzone.net/showthread.php?s=&threadid=18309

* Sheep in the Big City (Friday, 1/11, 11 p.m.) scored its highest tweens 9-14 rating (3.8) and delivery (704,000) ever.

Is this good news for Sheep or what? I have to admit, I liked the first season only mildly but this season seems to have really picked things up. I hope that the ratings and new timeslot give the series some chance at a third season.

It's very good news! :-) I like this a lot. Can't wait until it gets behind AS later.

Good News!

Why wouldn't Dexter's Lab, PPG, or Johnny Bravo, or even Ed Edd N Eddy be more popular than Sheep?

Well you can't really measure the popularity when you compare shows. So far Dexter and the Powerpuff Girls have been the most successful both economically. I think Sheep in the Big City is great because of its humor. If you ever watched Rocky and Bullwinkle, and simply listed to the series instead of watching it, you'll see where the humor lies. This is the same deal with Sheep. Its not action or about crazy things (so therefore a lot of kids write it off as "boring") but it does have an intelliectual and satirical moments that other cartoons are too afraid to do. I'm not surprise much by the raitings, and I actually think more grown-ups, not just tweens, will start watching once it moves into the pre-Adult Swim hours.

Sheep always was funny, but to a weird extent, in my opinion, It was kind of stupid,(to hold the kids attention, but It was also one of those things little kids wouldn't understand. (like a citizen Kane joke in Rocko, or the soap opera thing in the beginning of sheep). So yeah

I also thought the term was pre-teen, not tween. tee hee. IM a tween :)

This is good news!

It's good to see "Sheep" succeeding despite obvious indifference from people at this board. CartoonFridays, I'm glad to see that I', not the only person to see this show as a descendant of "Rocky and Bullwinkle". Maybe the same people who dislike SitBC are the same people who disliked R&B (hey, maybe that's why so many people hated the movie...). If a petition to get this show on DVD ever popped up, I'd sign it in a heartbeat.

Once again, I see very little differences between season one and season two.
