I have heard rumors that Samurai Jack was originally offered to Nick, but they passed due to content. Is this true? According to the rumor, Nick bought The Fairly Odd Parents instead.

Well I hardly think that this would work considering that the show was made by the crew of Dexter's Lab and PPG (who work at Hanna Barbara) it seems like they would almost be entitled to air in on CN or something related to Time Warner.

The only tie Nick has to CN is that Fairly Oddparents is by Butch Hartman.
Samurai Jack was initially pitched to Cartoon Network, and they loved and ran with the idea, and gave him an initial order of 26 episodes(the latter 13 to air later).

Life is good.
(how's that for a series of brief posts? All this brevity seems to be both a combination of brief, knee-jerk thoughts and a funny meta-commentary on the "instant gratification" nature of the internet, which...)
(Woops, I just wrecked it. Poop.)

That's good. I was wondering when new episodes would come out. Besides, why would Nick want to show anything action-related? Granted they got ZIM, which is sort of action-oriented, but look where that show ended up.

Yeah, SJ would'nt last a minute at Nick. Remember, it's not cute like Slugbrats.
