[indent]A commercial that just ran on CN mentioned the PPG movie opening on July 3rd. Has it been bumped back up to it's original date from the fall?

I hope so. I'm already annoyed about them holding back several 4th season PPG episodes until the movie release.

It'll be interesting to see how this movie dose against Episode 2, Spider-Man, Lilo & Stitch, and Men In Black 2 because my friend thinks it will get crushed by the competition mentioned above. If it has what it takes, (Which i hope it does) Then it might have a chance. Still looking forward to it, though. We'll see.

I might take my sister to this over the summer. I don't drive, but a movie theatre is 1/10 of a mile away from my place. Does anyone know what the plot is about?

Dispite the competition, I think the movie should do well. When you think about the people that will see Star Wars 2, and MIB 2, I don't think they're the same general demographic (i say that in a very loose way, because I know some will see them all). Anyways, the PPG is a family movie. If mom and dad take the kids out this summer, its just unlikely a little girl will want to see Star Wars or MIB (again, loose). Same deal with Spiderman. Maybe i'm sexist, but I view those movies with a predominantly male audience. There are exceptions to every rule, so no one shoot me.

From what I've heard, the Powerpuff Girls seem to have quite a broad fan base- they wouldn't get the ratings they do if only little girls were watching. So yes, there's a possibility the movie will do well.
But I'd feel better if they didn't release it right in the middle of the Summer's surest hits- talk about swimming with sharks!

Dose anyone know what the rating of this film will be? My first guess would be G , but after seeing all the episodes, and how violent the fights can be, a PG rating would make more sence. Plus it would have to be the limit for a film like that. Any idea?

Hmm.......I'd guess G. After all, my 3 year old neice does love to watch the Power Puff Girls, so it's not really that violent.

I'm guessing it will be PG, on account of the somewhat violent fights.
Plus, it's all too likely they'll be adding some bodily-functions jokes, just to lure the male audience.

The release date was never changed. It was oringaly July 4th, and the change was just a rummor that some idiot started. As for the raiting..My best guess is a G-PG raiting.
