I'll get the reviews done on Tuesday, I swear.
I don't have classes that day, so I should be able to get them done.

This week's Adult Swim wasn't too great, IMO. This week's Baby Blues suffers from the same problem as some of The Simpson's episodes: It starts out funny, then turns bad once the story kicks in.
I've said it once and I'll say it again: If the show was about the neighbors, Baby Blues would be a hit. Everything before the church scene was very good;everything else was ok at best. Defintely better than last weeks episode with an entertaining flow (even though it got predictable). I give it a C .

What got me laughing was the "Japanese erotica" reference. Japanese erotica is the tamest erotica you can get, due to their laws requiring censorship (even of porn!).

Actually, it had a Simpsons-esque feel to it--reminiscent of the ep where Lisa and Bart are adopted by The Flanderses after Homer and Marge are declared unfit parents (a similar setup with a misunderstanding over certain circumstances--there, old newspapers about the house, here, a scotch bottle).
I am afraid to ask how a fifty-something-year old man who still lives with his mother becomes The Leader of the neighborhood....
Fav line: "So you have to be uncomfortable for an hour! That's what religion is all about!"
As in last night's King of the Hill, the neighbos' paranoia--"we know your secrets"--is exploited to its fullest effect to achieve an end. Plus who couldn't love a couple of whitebreads like Wanda and Daryl trying to be "bad"?

I have to say the episode was pretty funny.
I liked the way Wanda played the guitar. Though I'm still trying to figure out if it's more Hendrix than SRV.
I think it was prett funny as well. An A rtaing!

I didn't like HM tonight, or BB. D rating. Incredibly predictable, and the 'leader' thing's been done before. I didn't have anything against BB before, but with another episode like that, I just may.

This episode was so cool! Wanda and Darell couldn't stand being the bad family. And the secret thing took me by suprise. Trust me I recomend this darn episode to all!

Apparently, the theme of having the main character(s) being treated like crap spread to Sunday's episode of "Baby Blues", though it ended up being funnier than it's lead-in.
Some points I must mention:
- Can anyone think of a bigger hypocrisy (in animation) than Carl and Melinda calling Darryl and Wanda bad parents?
- There is no way you can tell me that that final gag wasn't lifted from a "Simpsons" episode.
- That "Frankenstein" dream sequence was so dead on.
It was fairly hard to sit through the scenes of Darryl and Wanda being ostracized, but the episode picked up when the couple embraced their "bad family" status. (Way to work that ax!)
Also, just what was Carl and Melinda's secret, anyway? Just wonderin'...
Grade: B
P.S. Did anyone else catch the "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" reference early on?
