It was a pretty good series going strong and then it just fell off the radar or was it given the Yu Yu Hakusho treatment?

From what I understand to show was booted from Toonami because of content, but was moved to SVES and I believe they finished the series.

No, it was taken off Toonami the first time because its ratings were in older demographics than cartoon network wanted. It moved to SVES about 2/3 through Kyoto and finished that arc there. There WERE about forty more episodes that didn't air, though they were all filler. They reran the first 20 or so episodes on Toonami again the next year, because Toonami was aiming older at the time, but CN decided not to renew their Kenshin contract because they had some other new shows coming and decided Kenshin wasn't needed anymore.

It should be noted that the last airings on Toonami did pretty well but apparently not good enough to warrent a renewal.

CN could not renew RK since a channel called 'Blackbelt TV' picked it up.

Looking at Blackbelt TV, yeah they do have Kenshin.

I found the website. Yes indeed they do have it. But how long have they had it? CN gave up Kenshin in 2005.

Apparently they had it for one year.

Blackbelt TV, huh? That's...rather specific. I guess if the show had to go anywhere, why not this?

Wonder how edited it is.

I still believe that CN wimped out on airing the filler arcs considering the first of the filler arcs following Kyoto, the Shimabara or Christian Arc had a lot of religious undertones. Despite that it was the best of the filler episodes and arcs and CN at least should've given RK the "graveyard" treatment like they gave SEED and Yu Yu Hakusho, instead of redundantly repeating the Tokyo Arc (first during the last months of SVES, second during RK's final Toonami run) over and over, pussyfooting around the filler episodes. Though supposedly all 95 episodes had already been edited for CN standards AND in CN's hands. CN's treatment of Rurouni Kenshin still pisses me off to this day. I like to see all the episodes of a series, for better or worse.

It is un-edited.

On the Spanish language Boomerang, they have a show running nightly called Samurai X. I can only presume it's Kenshin, based on how long it's been listed.

I agree with the sentiments thought that CN should have finished the series.

It is Kenshin. That's Sony's name for the series outside of America.

Samurai X is here too, but just movies not a show. it's just a retitling because they're released by different companies?

As said above, for whatever reason, they named it Rouri Kenshin ion the US exclusive. If you look on most anime sites, they won't 'lower themselves' to calling it anything but Samaria X

And oddly, the name makes no sense. Kenshin sided with the imperialists, not the Samurai.

Well, the Japanese version doesn't make much sense either since the subtitle is "Wandering Samurai" I believe they also call Kenshin a Samurai in the Viz manga near the end of the Kyoto Arc/beginning of the Jinchu Arc.
