The 2006 Toon Zone Member Awards, Phase One: The Nomination

Hello one and all. It is finally that time of year again where we look back on the eventful year that was, and hand out little trinkets of recognition and affection to the memorable people and events that shaped the last 12 months.

So now the time has come to find out exactly who's going to be up for what award. For this year, there are ten shinny, sparkling categories. They are as follows:

-Best Toon Zone Member of 2006: Anyone who's a member of this site is eligible
-Best Male TZ'er: Self-explanatory
-Best Female TZ'er: See above
-Best Moderator/ Administrator: They're the guys in bold.
-Best New Member: Or newbies.
-The Sexy Member Award (Wherein we blantanly rip-off People Magazine). Browsing through the Photo_album_thread (http://forums.toonzone.net/showthread.php?t=149503) will help you out here.
-Best Thread: Like this one.
-Memorable Moment of 2006.
-Best Running joke/meme

And finally, from the mind of Joel H. Dalek:
-Best/Worst Spam Thread. The ones that make you wonder why they're even there.

Now that we know what the categories are, time to go over some ground rules:

-The nominees will be decided by YOU, the average TZ Member (Democracy in action, sweet). Your job is to post your top three picks for each category (if you can) and no more.
-The time parameters in effect this year run from the begining of November 2005 to the end of October 2006. The Newb, Sexy Member, Threads, Jokes and Moment categories will be run under this condition. Only choices that were posted within this time frame will be eligible for the nods.
-The Nomination phase shall run from right now to December 24th. No more nods shall be accepted after this date.
-This little activity is meant for fun and maybe a little good-natured ribbing. There is no intention to insult or demean anyone. Please try to remember that as you come up with your nominations and keep it all as civil as you possibly can.
-And finally, we know that there are some of folks out there who roll their eyes at these kind of things. If you happen to dislike the whole notion of "awards" or see this as nothing more as a bunch of buddies slapping each other on the back or have any other objection to this all, then please ignore this thread and simply do not participate. It will make things easier for everyone.
