Wouldn't know it, I've never felt it yet. Yes, I've dated. I've had a girlfriend. I've lusted over women. But head over heels in love? I think that takes time to develop.

Hahaha, thanks Kristi! Indeed, I am going for Mallory because of her amazingly beautiful personally . . . but it helps that shes definitely a babe. :) So, are you gonna fall in love with me!? Haha, just kidding!
I mean, I would say I L-O-V-E Mallory, but I'd define it as "teenage" love. I mean, it can't possibly be "true" love. That's just silly. I'm 15. I'm not ready for marriage love, practically. But, wow, we're getting close. It's insanity.
I love God, my family, my friends, my dog, and teenage love Mallory ;)

Love is not being able to imagine living life without that person and putting their happiness above your own. You want them to be happy, even if it is disadvantageous for you (like if the person you love loves someone else, you would want them to be with the person they love because it makes them happy).

Love is when you like someone because on what's on the inside and lust is when you just see someone and want to have sex with them and nothing else. Love lasts a long time and lust lasts for maybe a month.

having one's happiness be dependent upon something
valuing that thing above all else
being willing to sacrifice it all for the sake of that thingThat's pretty much all I can come up with off the top of my head right now.
I doubt I'll ever truly love something in my lifetime. To be willing to sacrifice anything for the sake of something is a bit much.

I never understood why the English language never adopted the terms 'eros' and 'agape' more fully, and used them instead of the more unclear term of 'love'.

Love is a lie. If you think you're in love, you're lying to yourself. If someone tells you that they love you, they're lying to you. It is a fictional concept that has to bearing in reality, and the human race will not be truly free until the lie is forgotten.
I'll end by quoting Lisa Simpson:
"Romance is dead. It was acquired in a hostile takeover by Hallmark and Disney, homogenized, and sold off piece by piece."

Why do humans always want an explanation for things? Just let it be.
My definition of love: God, family and friends are my love :)That's not a definition. That's an example.

Your life must really suck if you honestly believe that.
I have so much love that it always fascinates me when people say they don't know what it's like. I can't imagine not knowing.

If you have so much, can I have some? ;)
There are different kinds of love. Love for your family, love for a partner, love for your friends, love for a material possession. You don't love them in the same way as you do the other.
The topic, I suppose, suggests love for a partner.

I completely concur with your statement.
Maybe they just haven't seen the "good movies" like "You Got Mail", "Forget Paris", or to a slightly lesser extent "Fools Rush In", :D.
Those do a good job at unraveling the "mysteries" of love.

I understand love clearly. And the fact is that sometimes, it's tough.

A single word can't explain the feelings between two people.

Love is the amalgamation of multiple feelings, hence the difficulty of expressing it. If done methodically one can express their love in words.

It's being confused with feelings. Trust me, I keep trying to getting over this girl but I always keep coming back for some unknown reason. The worst thing I've ever done has run away from my feelings.

Love:
someone who you would take a bullet for
every morning you wake up they are the FIRST thing on your mind
every time you go to bed they are the LAST thing on your mind
someone you can trust
someone who can also be your best friend
someone who you can call at ANYTIME and talk to
my cousin was telling me about "love" and this is what he told me.

Calvin to his mother at 3 am: "Do you think love is nothing but a chemical reaction designed to make sure our genes get passed on?"
Calvin's mother: "Whatever it is, it's the only thing that's keeping me from killing you right now."
I haven't had as much experience with love as I'd like to (and I can't afford it right now anyway). I do know there's a lot of fake love and dead ends out there; I'm not fully giving my heart away to just anyone.

Love, like art, is a completely abstract concept that means different things to different people. Some may perceive it as unreal, while others may live their lives in an effort to gain it.
Myself, I tend more towards believing it does exist. It's not something that everyone achieves, and all-too-many people give in to physical pleasure rather than developing a deep emotional connection.
It's impossible to give a definition of love that works for everyone; there are as many kinds of love as there are different people.
The definition of love is the opposite of the definition of hate.

According to the Old Republic, Love is making a shot to the knees of a target 120 kilometers away using an Aratech sniper rifle with a tri-light scope.
According to Pat Benetar, Love is a Battlefield
According to the internets(Wikipedia), The concept of love is not amenable to a single, authoritative definition. It is the subject of considerable debate, enduring speculation, and thoughtful introspection. As an approximation, different aspects of love can be illustrated by comparing its corollaries and opposites
According to Freddie Mercury, Love is a crazy little thing
in other words, it's essentialy a crackerjack box of emotion....you don't know what prize you'll get
Allthough from my own personal experience, I've never really had a specific type of female that I've been attracted to...some say that it may be a type that has not been documented, a so called "Newtype" if you will
