The holidays are upon us. And while good will towards man is important, we can't overlook one important aspect of the season:

EGG NOG!

Yes, the nectar of the gods is available once more. Discuss one of the finest drinks of all time here!

You mean the stuff sold in cartons like milk? I used to like it but last year it was just to heavy and sweet, so I stopped drinking it. Now the stuff that comes in bottles, with "what it's supposed to contain", isn't near as sweet and makes one feel warm and fuzzy.

Hot Damn, I've nearly forgotten its that season! That stuff is good. Some of my relatives and friends don't care for it or outright hate it, but I love it!

If I drink 2-3 glasses back-to-back I might need to stop after that, or my tastebuds kinda get numb to the creamy sweetness, but that's okay anyway, its better to space that stuff over the day, what with the calories. Plus it makes it last longer :D

I love egg nog. We have been getting it since before Halloween. My dad hates it though. Every time he sees me pour a glass he says "Eww"

I live for egg nog. If there's one thing that can get me through the stressful holiday season - it's Egg Nog. There is no liquid more tasty in all the world.

I personally hate the stuff. My mom and brother love it, so I'm sure we'll have some when I get home, but I can't stand it. Just give me some chai tea or hot chocolate and I'm happy.

I looooove egg nog. My parents and brother hate it, but that's fine because then it's all mine. I've gone through about two cartons of the stuff since the day after Thanksgiving and will have gone through plenty more by the time Christmas gets here. :)

Eggnog is definitely one of those beverages that is friggin' delicious... until you overindulge just the tiniest bit, and then you never want to see the stuff again for about a year.

...Of course, by that time, it's already next December! Hooray!

Word of advice: make your own eggnog. The homemade variety beats the pants off of the overly sugary store bought variety anyday.

Yea, I wanna do what prisoners do, :p. i think you could swallow nutmeg till you were sick and I still doubt you could get high on it.If you want a drug, someone can smuggle it into prison. It's done constantly. The most common reason people are killed in prison is they don't pay for drugs. Given time, those people could assemble a howitzer.

God forbid I should reference the Clone High episode where Jack Black convinces all the clones to smoke raisins, or the Family Guy where they lick toads.

I remember one year, I had a problem with a cup of nog. Mom had bought a bunch of different spices, because they were on sale, but the issue was that they all had nearly the same packaging. Anywho, I went to put some cinnamon in my eggnog, since that's what I do, and I took a big swig... only to find out it was onion powder. YUCK!

I love egg nog. Sometimes, though, when I drink to much over a long span of time, I usually end up mixing it with ginger ale or a lemon-lime carbonated beverage such as 7Up or Sprite.

I think the only energy drink I've found that actually tastes pretty good (previously the highest compliment I'd paid to one is that it tastes "slightly less rancid than other energy drinks) is Rockstar Juiced. Those are tasty.

Ick, I hate Red Bull. It's just like liquidized Smarties. It even leaves the same powdery after affect in my mouth that the candies do. *shudder*

Also, is there any egg nog out there that's..."spiked" before you buy it? (That's always put me off from buying it.)

Too much Red Bull hate in this thread. The ONLY thing wrong with it is that the cans it comes in are tiny. Thus, I almost never get it when I have the option of getting a much bigger Monster for only about twenty cents more.

Regardless, it tastes awesome and egg nog does not.

I'm pretty sure International Delight or another coffee creamer company is selling egg nog flavored creamer. Many places also do egg nog cheese cake. I hear sniffing it makes you gain 10 lbs. LOL. The stuff is great but is really sweet! Maybe I just had a strong mix, but damn!

I am picky about my eggnog, I haven't had any that was really good since I bought some at an Amish market 3 or 4 years ago. I do enjoy the Eggnog Latte at Starbucks, though.
Eggnog icecream does nothing for me.
