Ishida is still my favorite voice thus far in the dub. I'm just hoping my favorite characters down the ladder have great VA tallent like Ishida does.

Anyway, its nice to see the how fast the plot moves in the beginning of the series. Next week we get to see Japanese S&P at work (if you've read the manga version of next week's episode, you'll know what I mean).

"ANNIHILATING SECOND BULLET!"

Now I want to see him with a goofy propeller on his back, flying around and punching hollows while yelling at the top of his lungs.

Well, other than that, it didn't really seem that interesting, although that's probably because I keep drifting on and off between episodes. I don't know, between that flashback with Chad and other guy and the whole glasses guy going all, "Ha ha, I'm doing this to teach you a lesson," it felt like they were trying a little too hard to be dramatic. It just felt so hammy.

As for Chad sounding way too calm during the fight, well, that's how he sounds in the Japanese version too. It's just how Chad rolls. You'll see even more of it in a flashback during the arc everyone is talking about.

Only Rukia and Ichigo are Soul Reapers (well, that we know of...), while Ishida is a Quincy and Chad & Orihime are just "people who have spiritual powers."

I still don't know what to make of the quiet Chad, who is the horse to Karin's jockey in this episode as they team-up to fight a hollow. I mean, despite his powers, his timid nature makes it seem, at least here at the offset, to be unimpressive. I know he makes up for it later, but as for now... wow.

Uryu is insane, ain't he? In the calm, calculated way, as he strikes down Hollows easily while Ichigo's expending all of his energy running all over the city. He sure is making Ichigo look like an idiot, no?

The next arc is from episode 21 through 63 depending on who you ask...the next arc picks up where episode 63 left off...because no one likes filler.

More like eight more episodes until the next big arc.
A new ending in two more episodes.
A new opening in thirteen more episodes.

LOL, love the Ghostbusters pack. Took me a couple of times before I noticed it :p

But why does everyone look so dreary in that? I know promotional pics normally have characters all loking either badass, goofy, or sometime even both, but damn. Ichigo and Uryu make sense they'll be all serious and/or pissed off, and Chad not emoting at all, but Orihime being all pissed/sad/btoh (I can't tell :sweat: ) sems OOC, and throw them all together, it kinda makes you want to give them antidepressants :p

Love Chad's shades though. Seems so wrong for Mr. Quiet Giant, yet seems so right :cool:

Blame Kubo. It's one of his manga splash pages. Viz used the colorized version for the back cover of one of the voumes (8, I believe).

I maintain that the next arc starts at episode 15. The episodes leading up to the Soul Society start there, as does the overall plotline of the next year or so's worth of episodes.

Pretty much this entire arc is just set-up to get everybody but Ichigo to realize their hidden powers in time for the next arc.

And once again, Derek Stephen Prince rocks as Uryu.

Since I haven't read the manga does this mean Ichigo has capabilities he and we aren't aware of yet? And also can anyone tell me when the fillers for Bleach begin and end?

I have a couple of qustions.

How well does the anime follow the manga?

If there are 40+ episodes of filler, does that mean the first 64 episodes are filler free?

How many chapters of the manga are there that haven't been animated yet?

For some reason I couldn't access the spoilers so I took a hint from this guy.

So after the first 64 episodes 40+ are fillers that are still going on but will end soon am I correct to assume that?

If so at least it's not the ridiculous amount of continueous filler Naruto has amassed over the past two years, although unless I am aware that it is filler I tend not to notice but since Naruto's filler is in the high numbers I always hear people whine about it in the forums but you can't really blame them considering how much there is. If I was in Japan I would've ditched it long ago we'll see how long I last over here.

Also what's up with the ******** crap I keep hearing people fling around, why do some people get the urge to rank on others just cause they don't like or understand something?

No, there are like two (very annoying) Don Kanonji filler episodes in the first 64 episodes that were based on a series of short sketches at the end of the manga chapters.

There's just some short sketches at the end of some of the manga chapters about some superhero team with Don Kanonji, Karin, Yuzu, Ururu, and Ginta called the Karakura Superstars or something. So the anime took this and made two episodes with them.

I'd also consider them padding since they are both placed in-between multi-episode fights.

There are several places in the series where fight scenes are broken up with 'side adventure' episodes.

Well, it's a bit hard for Bleach to get as many fillers as Naruto considering Bleach just recently got past Episode 100 whereas Naruto reached 200 a few months ago.

I also find the people who type like that just to get their point across hilarious, annoying aswell but not to the point of calling them a retard. But I see your side of it too so we'll just leave it be since you seem to have a real reason to say it and not doing it just to be mean, and you're one of the rare few not to clump all the fans together and label them that.

Yeah you're right we'll just have to wait and see for the next two years. Though it is possible for Bleach to end up the same way Naruto did and rack up a high number of filler episodes before getting back to adapting the manga, I just hope they don't suck. I hear their pretty good so far so that's not to bad I guess.

By the way can I ask a question how do you highlight the quote from another user in your reply it doesn't seem to happen automatically if you could explain it I'd appreciate it thanks.
