Episode 26- "Back With A Venegance"
Tonight: Ben finally figures out the master code for the Omnimatrix, and he no longer has to worry about a time limit. Instead, Ben can become any alien, any time, for as long as he wants. This is good, as Kevin 11 and Vilgax have met each other, and they have one goal to accomplish together: Destroy Ben.
Notes: This world premiere episode does not currently have a re-airing scheduled.
New Yu-Gi-Oh! GX and Code Lyoko return tommorow on Miguzi due to the Columbus Day marathon.

I hope there is SOME kind of consquence for staying alien, or this show will lose it's interesting twist.
The season finale already? Sounds like it'll be an interesting one. I wonder how it will affect the series afterwards. There has to be some side effect to the master code, otherwise things may just be a little too easy for Ben.

So..why is vilgax alive..in a block of ice?..and in the depths of space where Kevin is?
Didn`t he die in a firey spaceship crash...on earth? W T F
and apparently Vilgax gets out of the Phantom Zone somehow according to the preview(just as inexplicably as why he was frozen in space in the beginning).
It seems the only thing that will ever change on the show is ben getting new aliens.

So..why is vilgax alive..in a block of ice?..and in the depths of space where Kevin is?
Didn`t he die in a firey spaceship crash...on earth? W T F I was wondering that myself. He is kinda' indestructable, so it's it's hard to say where he'd end up after that blast. This show isn't big on continuity,,, we'll just have to go with it I guess.
This was a great show, minus a few inconcruities. Gwen to the rescue made the whole thing worth while. I loved it when Ben as Stinkfly caught her mid air. For all his "Oouu hugs", he gave her one then. It was so cute :anime: I also liked the selfsacrificing both Ben and Gwen did to save eachother.
I'm rating this fairly high mostly because they do the action animation so well and I really like the characters.
9/10

This has got to be the best episode yet. Though I hate how in the ending, Ben's abilities returned back to normal. Kevin 11, like the last time he appeared, was rather annoying.

Looks like I'm in the same boat as everyone. Easily the best episode of Ben 10 to date, and that's even after accounting for the darned retconned ending.
I'm glad to see Vilgax back too, but *reads above posts* where did he come from? I mean, we hadn't seen him since the S1 finale, and suddenly Kevin rescues him in space? (I did, thankfully, remember where Kevin was last...)
About time Ben figured out the watch. I was going to be intrigued as to how the writers would pull that off for the rest of the series, since that 'mystery' is taken out. Or, at least it was...
Yeah for the Null Void and Gwen getting down and dirty in the battle!
I have to say, watching the Omnitrex being pulled off of Ben's arm was wince-worthy. Ouch...
Figures that in the end, Kevin and Vilgax were still trying to one-up each other. Now both of them are stuck in the Void, and with no Omnitrex.
Speaking of which, nice move by Gwen... she even had me fooled.
Sigh... too bad Ben 'zeroed' out the watch... now he's gotta start all over again. (If we're lucky, maybe he'll have used it a bunch of times before we see the gang again at the start of Season 3.)
BTW, Season 3 starts November 25th... which is a Saturday! Looks like the gang's moving back to Saturday morning premieres!
"Back with a Vengeance": 8.5/10.

I tend to agree with the concensus here.. Wasn't Vilgax supposedly killed in the fiery crash of his spaceship (First he gets severely injured in the initial S1 Opening, then he gets repaired then he gets blown apart when his mother ship gets self-destructed (Thanks to Gramps) so why is he in space..? (Okay that's 1 point off for Continuity..)
Kevin on the other hand is in the right place (but if he's in the empty void of space, wouldn't he explode? (That's 2...)
other then that having Ben figure out the Omnitrix Master code was cool, but it would have been hard for the writers to continue this on with frequent Changes. (Though thinking about your change instead of being on a time limit was a bit better...)
But the high Point was Gwen and the fight scenes..(Okay +1 for that..)
and Ben Getting the Omnitrix yanked off his wrist? Okay that's Gotta hurt!
all in all a good ep, but the lame ending is what hurt the most..(Minus 0.5 for that)
Final Score 8.5 out of 10.. The Lack of Continuity and the fact that this Kevin/Vilgax Alliance really didn't go over well, really hurt the show, while it was Gwen and the removal scenes that helped.

;) Maybe the explosion threw Vigalax up into space? Never know..
I thought the action scenes were extremely well done in this episode, with Ben shifting between all his forms on the fly (but not Ghostfreak... maybe he really is gone for good?) and using all their advantages. The ending was disappointing, but then again Ben seemed leagues stronger using his shifting ability, so maybe it's just to keep the show interesting of him being in danger.

I wonder why the show didn't use the flying board Ben and the gang got from that diamond head alien instead of the rocket pack?

I loved the fights with Ben having full control over the watch. It made for some great moments. It also made me regret seeing this ability being removed. Of course one down side I could see is the Master control could noly allow him to become monsters he knows, without the random factor to the watch he can't find new monsters. He would have been stuck with the eleven he has (Ghost Freak seems gone for good going by this episode.)
It was a fun episode for a show that you expect to be fun and little else.

I wonder why the show didn't use the flying board Ben and the gang got from that diamond head alien instead of the rocket pack? That would have been very cool, shame they didn't think of it. Where she got a "plumers suit" that fit is also a question. But since I like any clothes changes for characters, it was a treat. :D
(Ghost Freak seems gone for good going by this episode.) The consensis is that he is very gone. But this show has a habit of bringing back characters no matter how gone they are.:anime:

Though the idea of having Ben being able to master the Omnitrix was a little too soon IMO, I was happy to see Kevin again. I really hope he returns in season 3.(And I guess nobody knows the info for season 3...)
