all of this week's episodes have been seen by several lucky viewers
Who are they? Those who have watched the French ones?
Anyways, tonight's episode should be good. We in the C:LFanclub have been waiting for this episode for A LONG time. I think I've been in the Fanclub from v.2 (or v.3) and now it's on v.9 . I am really pysched for the new episode!
24 minutes and 15 seconds left!
Argh, I just moved to Texas a little while ago. I'm on central time, so I still have 20 minutes or so...
I CAN'T WAIT THAT LONG!!!

Yeah, the Eastern and Central Time Zones are lucky, but I don't actually have it on here in Idaho for another 3 hours and 15 minutes, and even then, I'll have to record it and watch it tonight after CSI: Miami. In the mean time, something seems to be missing, like this:

Yeah...Mya??? Interesting name...
Yeah, I heard that, and I was like, "I thought she was called Aelita."
Also, note Odd's hairstyle. It's not in it's usual mohawk style. I guess he started that look after the whole XANA thing started.

Uh-Oh... XANA's attacking!
Ulrich was a bit of a jerk before the series. Then again, meeting Odd must have been strange, and he probably thinks Jeremie's off his rocker.
Ulrich's going to virtualize Kiwi?

but...from what it seems like, she never will now......
I wonder if he originally got his spiky hair from Lyoko...or did he change it?
His hair now scares me. I like the giant spike better.
There's the supersprint. And they both died.

Well, we still have 13 episodes to go after this two-parter, and at at least one ("The Secret") has the potential for "Sissi in Lyoko" action. But, if it doesn't happen then, then I think we can officially put the kibosh on our hopes.

"scared of heights?"

so is this two parter a special or part of the numbered episode order #53 - 54?

I don't care if she goes to Lyoko or not, but I hope she does learn about Lyoko somepoint this or next season, seeing as she was actually "part of the group" before even Yumi was (granted, thus far in the flashback she, Jeremie, and Kiwi do next to nothing, but it's a start.)
needs less Sissi
Are you crazy? With this kind of development, we need more!

Good question.
This episode will live on in my heart. 9/10
The music was samey, but well placed and lacked continuency issues. I liked how the plot wasn't too complex or confusing. it was a nice old school episode, but without the issues of Season 1. They seem to finally have the animation stlye down. In S1, there was just the problem with the charecters being drawn well. In S2, there was somethign definatly, "too" about them. But, I like this compromised look.

Yumi will probably get in on it in the next part. She didn't come now because she and Ulrich aren't close, considering that Ulrich back then is a ******bag (Yumi seems to have had a positive influence on him. ^_^)

Wow, did anyone else think the 2D animation went down hill? I'm hoping the rest of season 3 doesn't follow suit. I felt as though I could see each frame as they moved.
I liked how Jeremie found the factory and was attack by Xana with his own stuff, and they came sO close to a virtual Sissi that it was shear torture. :p
I can't believe Ulrich and yumi are taking martial arts from Jim. They've built him up as being rather incompetant at just about everything, how'd they get so good later? dissing Yumi like that was awful. If he had any prior training he'd have been called on that. I also didn't really like their virtual personas being automatic, and with weapons. That just felt wrong.
I realise I had expectations, but 50% felt very weak.

I guess Jim is a blackbelt in martial arts........but he'd rather not talk about it. :D
And like I said, Ulrich was a ******bag at this time. Dissing Yumi, insulting Odd, trying to tell on him because of Kiwi and then trying to steal and virtualize Kiwi...not a pleasant person. Like I said as well, Yumi must have been (and is still being) a positive influence on him. ;)

Wow that was good! I seriously enjoyed this episode (although Odd looked like a freaking weirdo). I'd say it's a good start to the season. I notice you guys were counting down to it, and I wish I could have too, but it came on at 3:30 for me so I didn't even get to see it when it aired.
It makes me wonder, though...will Sissi ever get virtualized? I'm assuming she'll forget due to RTTP, so it was kind of a now-or-never deal. I can't say I'm not disappointed (a new member would be exciting, and it would create interest since that whole William thing is dead), but since we KNOW she's not part of it presently we'll just have to wait until next season...
Unless of course somebody here can read French and would like to go and tell people what happens as Season 4 airs in French (in spoilers of course)...
P.S. I may be out of the loop but did the last Season 1 disc ever come out? If not, does anyone think it ever will?? I think I'll just do the box-set.

It's quite suprising how much someone can change, depending on who they hang out with at any given time...It's pretty obvious which Ulrich we all like, and this isn't the one!!!

They're toying with us at this point. Counting her two appearances in the factory last season, this is the 3rd time we've come oh so close to seeing her in Lyoko. Unfortunately, like you said, it was a now-or-never deal, and I guess today was strike 3 for us.
But, like I said, I'm thinking the upcoming episode "The Secret" is the best possible episode to try it again. If that episode goes by and we don't see Sissi/Lyoko action, I think we can safely relegate ourselves to fanfiction to fulfill our fetish.

I don't see why everyone would think Sissi would be sent to Lyoko at this point. This (and at least the next episode) takes place before the prior two seasons, so Sissi couldn't have gone to the Virtual World.
As far as I can tell, the reason she doesn't remember beyond RTTP's is the fact she hasn't been there yet. Honestly, I'm not sure how Jeremy remebers anything past an RTTP.
On a note of good continuity, I'm glad to see Ulrich retains his fear of heights first displayed in Vertigo.
Ulrich's an interesting character. He doesn't like change, and both Odd and Yumi are new to him. He seems to be at least on a more familiar basis with Jeremy.
Another note: Maya is the name Jeremy gives Aelita because she can't remember her own. Personally, I'm guessing it's an inside joke referring to Maya, a 3D model/texturing software package, possibly used to make the clips of Lyoko.
All in all, I can't wait for the rest of this season. I'm gonna guess that this entire season predates the first two, and that "The Secret" is when Yumi finds out about Lyoko. I say this because unveiling the repercussions of XANA's freedom deserves the status of a season premiere. I somewhat expect season 4 to be the final season of the show, wrapping up the loose ends, though I'd be more than happy to be wrong.

Heh, I too was wondering if they changed Jeremie's VA again. Someone mentioned it's the original VA... but how can that be if this was only animated recently, not when the series first started? I don't see why they'd get the old VA if they still had the current one... especially since any age difference between the 'origin story' and the end of Season Two would be negligible.
Speaking of Jeremie... I didn't like the narration. Not against it entirely, but I just think there was a bit too much... I'd rather see 'young' Jeremie play it out with his actions rather than being given a play-by-play.
Odd and Ulrich meet for the first time... you know, they worked out just like I thought they would. And Odd's hair is down... wha?
Did Odd ask Ulrich "Who's the good looking babe?" LOL! Seriously, though, we've always known he's a ladies' man, and wouldn't it make sense for him, being new to the school, to go after the cream of the crop first? (Funny how we know it's not going to work out from the origin story, even though they could eventually cycle back to being together again in Season 3, given later events in the storyline.)
Am I the only one who noticed Herb laughing lecherously?
Aelita = Maya? It makes sense (someone already mentioned the computer technology term reference earlier). And it figures the first creatures she meets upon leaving the tower are... the Kankrelats.
Jim teaches martial arts in a class of two... Ulrich and Yumi. What's wrong with this picture? I just found it weird Jim taught them how to fight. At the same time, though they could've introduced a new character for that role, they would've had to have gone through why he/she isn't around now.
Ulrich and Yumi, love at first sight... er, tackle?
Poor Kiwi, makes a bad impression, and Ulrich picks him as a test subject for the Virtualizer. Or, planned test subject.
There's a tease! Sissi actually goes into the Factory for the first time BEFORE Yumi! And yet... she doesn't want to accompany Ulrich! I guess I understand her fears... but if she's truly in love with Ulrich, wouldn't love conquer all fears? If she would've gone to Lyoko, maybe those two would be the show's premiere couple now.
Another funny line... Odd commenting that Jeremie's "flipped for a virtual babe." Well, I would be the first to think Aelita's far from a babe... probably unless I was Jeremie, that is.
And what a way to end... Ulrich and Odd getting blasted out by the Blocks shortly after discovering the second sector, the Icy one!
Whew... haven't done a play-by-play in a talkback in a long time... that was tiring! Anyway, I think the origin story continues to follow the tendencies of the series... believable in some parts, not very much so in others. The characters are pretty much as we know them now, save for a few changes that their then-new friendship will solve. I guess the only letdown is one that can't be helped... and it's that the fact that it does feel like a 'first fight,' instead of the gang being 'experienced warriors' with great fighting. Feels weird that the best fighting sequences was actually off of Lyoko... with Yumi and Ulrich.

After watching the episode last night, I can say it's an interesting plot device to see how they found Lyoko. We've been asking for theat information for two years, and this is a much better premiere than we got. Today we'll see Yumi arrive in Lyoko, but Jeremy's new voice will take some getting used to.

For the last time people, Jeremie's voice is the SAME VA AS IT'S ALWAYS BEEN! Sharon Mann did his voice in this episode, the first episode, and every episode in between. She also does Aelita's voice. For whatever reason she tends to switch between a nasaly sounding voice and a higher sounding voice. It seemed like she went with the higher voice for most of the 1st season, then later in the 1st season and all of the second season it was the more nasaly voice, but now she's back to the higher voice. I prefer the higher voice personally. But I promise you, it's all Sharon Mann, no other VA.

On the subject of the origin of Ulrich and Sissy's animosity: I don't think Ulrich is being fair at all. The reason Sissy told was to try to save him, Jeremie, and Odd, she was concerned for their safety. She may not be much on brains, yes, but her heart is in the right place. They don't need to let her in the group, since she might blab again, but Ulrich's attitude toward her because of it is really not a good one since she was trying help him.
And, the Sissi attacked by XANA running gag begins, as does the RTTP.
Well since she was part of the group before the first RTTP, XANA probably always tries to attack her when he can because of that factor.

Add to that Sissi refusing to be virtualized in Part 1. If she had been a little braver and taken the plunge, she'd probably be hooked up with Odd (after seeing him in Lyoko form), and Ulrich's hatred towards her would be nullified. Plus the Yumi/Sissi rivalry would be deleted.
Anyway, that's 2 down and 13 to go. Tomorrow, the regular season starts up with "Straight to Heart".

I kind of feel sorry for her, she was only doing what she thought was right (she thought Ulrich, Jeremy, and Odd were going to die. Blurting out the secret so suddenly was a bit careless, but she meant well in doing it. It sort of makes all the times the gang make fun of Sissi sort of unfair in retrospect, but I can see why they can't let her back in the group.

I'm going to have to agree with everyone else. Sure, Sissi was sorta rude in blabbing when she did, but like you said, she did mean well. And, I can see why the gang kicked her out because of it, but at the same time, Ulrich chewing her out seems really unfair.
Man, my hopes for seeing Sissi get Lyokofied have never been higher than they are right now.

So the discovery of Lyoko and XANA and everything continues...
Odd's got some real funny lines, as he plays the 'situational comedy' card a lot. Especially in regards to how he's got the worst costume on Lyoko.
It's no surprise Yumi and Ulrich are made for each other... stubborn and strong-headed they are. Yumi just kinda muscled her way into the group, especially with Sissi predisposed by the attack.
Speaking of which, in the scene where Sissi wakes up and describes what had happened, did anyone catch the line about her probably seeing a gigantic teddy bear too (i.e., a reference to Episode 1, "Teddygodzilla)?
I can't believe Sissi that Yumi was Japanese! That riled her up!
Once again, we're seeing the gang not looking past how annoying Sissi can be and how she was trying to do the right thing. Yes, she blabbed the secret, but she was under the belief that they were all in danger. It's what on the inside that counts, guys!
Finally, the Return to the Past program. Ironic that Jeremie wasn't immune from the first one, but it all make sense now! I guess he must've scanned himself into the supercomputer afterwards, 'cause wasn't it awhile in the series originally until he actually was transported to Lyoko?

Jeremy sounded more like Jeremy today to me, and I really think they should have used this as the premiere episode instead of throwing everybody into the middle of a war. Yumi once again shows why she is that dang good, and we learn a little bit about XANA, albeit not much. Hopefully season 3, which offically starts today, will continue the momentum of these two discovery episodes.

So, I think they'll spend season 3 trying to find a way out of Lyoko and onto the internet, which is how season 3 bridges the gap to season 4.

Ulrich took a shot in the gut from Yumi today. Man, he can't be feeling terribly well. Also Odd got into a little ethical spat with his friends. Could this be the start of a terrible falling out amongst the friends? Possible.
That sphere looks like the Four Sectors of Lyoko. Looks like XANA's trying to cut off the Lyoko Warriors by destroying their portal and his old home.

That was great for a first episode. (not including the prequel eps, of course) I especially liked Odd's little stunt with the manta. It seems that he got his "A Game" back.

I'm impressed Ulrich's able fight or even able to be near Yumi after that. You can tell that he's expecting her to talk about her feelings for him and expects that she (much like him) would like to start dating or at least be more open with their feelings.
You'll notice how much he wants to have this talk, getting more and more upset with every failed attempt. Finally he gets her to a nice secluded spot where he doesn't have to worry about anything. And she takes him completely off gaurd, and he can't even string together a comprehensive thought. This might be the first chip in a wedge between the friends.
I thought Odd's blackmail would be the next, but it looks like he took the high road and it payed off.
Anyways, it'll be interesting to see what happens next.

she's a lame overused character hopefully William and Hiroki will be used in her place to spice things up
There's a big argument against the "lame" character thing, but I won't go into that. But I will agree I hope William and Hiroki are used more, they really need some more insight, Hiroki in particular seems like he'd make a good nemesis for Yumi.

And, thus, season 3 officially commenceth. Odd is his typical self, Hiroki's in Kadic and making trouble for Yumi, Ulrich gets his heart broken (poor guy), Aelita's no longer powerless (YAY!) and poor Jeremie has a near-heart attack after Aelita gets devirualized.
I still hate Ulrich after the whole Sissi incident yesterday, but getting the "let's just be friends" speech from the girl he's been pursuing for the better part of 2 years forces me to give him a few of his sympathy points back. Unfortunately, he still goes down to the bottom of my characters list until he mans up and apologizes to Sissi for yesterday's rant.

He did apologize, in the various episodes over the course of season two when he actually showed signs of warming up to Sissi. Remember when Sissi and him had the talk at the entrance of the Factory? After that he should signs of being nicer to her. You can't really expect him to apologize in any of these episodes for something that happened probably over a year ago (remember those episodes took place a long time ago). If anything it shows the amount of character development they've all undergone over the course of the show.
Speaking of which, doesn't this mean that the Lyoko gang is now in high school? I have two conflicting theories on this:
1) Translators are culturally inept. In France they count down the grades from 12th (kindergarten) to La Terminal (Senior year highschool). Jeremie claimed in his diary to be in the 8th grade. This would put him in the 4th grade at the time...seems unlikely.
2) They're now in high school. I need to look up French Education, but that means either Kadic offers both middle and high school educations, or possibly that high school in France, starts in the 10th grade, which would make this their last year at Kadic.
My bets on their now in the ninth grade, and with that I need to go research.

So Aelita now has her own weapon capabilities, and Jeremy was shocked to see she would rematerialize in the real world if she got destroyed now. It goes to show that not even Einstein can know everything.
It looks like the core of Lyoko is safe for now, but for how long will it be safe. The plot of them going to virtualize themselves on the web looks like it'll be fairly interesting.

Ouch, the dreaded "Let's just be friends" speech. I know exactly how that can feel.
Wow, so much happened in one episode! Those of you who haven't seen it yet, don't read this.
Anyway, this episode changes a lot. The forest sector is gone, Jeremie has a new project to stay up late working on (since he's had one every season so far), William came within inches of becoming a Lyoko team member, etc.
Wow, I think this season is going to be great!

"I forgot my notes!" "I better go with to check out the competition" "and we better go to make sure they don't start fighting!" those weren't exactly the smoothest excuses to get out of class
Odd did a great job taking care of those Tarantulas

No more forest sector. If XANA keeps this up, there won't be a Lyoko in Code Lyoko anymore (although I predict that may happen by the end of this season, setting up the fourth season in which they may go into the internet! Booyah! :D )
And of course Nicholas voted for Odd, Sissy! Odd promised support to near-dropouts and Nicholas is probably the biggest near dropout in the entire school! XD
Tommorow: XANA's most "on-crack" attack ever!
This episode was full of action. I especially liked William's homage to the Matrix with those staff moves.
About the excuses, the gang expected that they would just go back in time, so they didn't really care. I think they were just used to coming up with something to give them a little time to go to the factory before people started looking for them.
Anyway, the next episode, called "Tidal Wave," also looks good from what I've seen and heard. I can't wait!
Did anyone else think that the scene where they were all circled around Yumi laughing while Jim shot her was a bit... weird? Xana seemed to be enjoying it too much.

Interesting Ep. XANA's strength outside Lyoko seems to have magnified. He was controlling lots of people. William's a good fighter for sure, but it'd be a bad idea for him to be a Lyoko warrior, mainly because as good as he is, Ulrich's probably the best they have, and William and Ulrich would tear each other apart. Or Ulrich would finally get fed up and take it out on William, who's an easy scapegoat.
Speaking of Ulrich, I noticed him checking himself out in the mirror? Is this his way of coping with the fallout? Yumi seemed lost in thought while in the bus, wonder what's up with that...
On that note, what's up with Aelita and Odd. Aelita has seemingly taken a shine to him, supporting him over Jeremie when they were competing. There was also that moment in Lyoko when Odd saved Aelita, ending up laying on top of her, making a flirtatious remark. Jeremie even seems a bit nervous given his response to Ulrich's comment, "Odd and Aelita are dating".
Tensions abound for a group of warriors who can't afford to have these interpersonal issues mucking up their fight with XANA, who is now desperately trying to cut off what he perceives to be the biggest threat.

Catching up from yesterday, doing a two-for-one review!
"Straight to the Heart": 6.5/10
- Interesting lengths Odd went to in order to stay in the same class as the others. Glad he didn't go through with blackmailing Jim with that disco video in the end.
- Gee, is there anything about his past Jim does want to talk about?
- Say it isn't so! Yumi "just wants to be friends!" Nooooo!
- Animation improvement again from last season, but not as much as the Season 1-to-2 jump.
- Aelita's got new powers! Yeah! But wait, she just got pulverized... huh, apparently she can devirtualize now after getting back her human memories!
"Lyoko Minus One": 7/10
- Coming in, I kinda had the idea that the title might've meant the end of a sector... and it turns out I was right! Okay, maybe I shouldn't be happy 'bout that...
- The battle for class rep: Jeremie vs. Herb vs. Odd? Good play appealing to the 'dropouts!'
- Yumi versus her class... oy, not good odds. But she's got Ulrich and William involved? Talk about awkward.
- The schipizoa is back, and it's... implanting something into Aelita? The power to destroy sectors! That's not good...
The only disappointment so far seems to be that the voice director still can't get Jeremie's VA to show more emotion. Several moments in the first two episodes of Season 3... Aelita left alone in Sector 5; Aelita getting blasted; Odd and Aelita falling as the Forest Sector got deleted. You'd think he would sound a whole lot more worried and concerned.

Alot has happened over time....I guess Jeremie's trained himself to be calm right into the storm....just like how the Lyoko Warriors have gotten stronger in terms of skills and strength, Jeremie has gotten stronger with his nerves...
Either that...or the VA can't make up his damn mind!!! The latter is probably more likely....

i saw fruits in there so it wasn't all junk
Once again, as soon as Yumi showed up, Xana lost intrest in Ulrich. I'm beginning to suspect that it's intentional on the creator's part. You know how all of the recurring characters are horror movie archtypes? I'm beginning to suspect that the makers are intentionally poking fun at how girls get singled out in horror flicks.
Anyhow, I'm liking this season. The stakes have been raised to a crazy level. This time, they don't have the luxery of stalling for time, because Xana's attacking the world itself. In this episode, you had to worry about the (bizzare) food monster, the flooding, AND the monsters attacking the core.
It just seems a lot more frantic than previous seasons.

Anyway, XANA's plan today was great. But his attack...as I described it earlier, "on crack". Come on, possessing junk food?!
You have to look at it from XANA's perspective. RTTP is a double edged sword. It's a boon to the Lyoko warriors but it's also a way to increase the power of XANA (eg: "A great day"). This attack put the group in a situation where win or lose they had to RTTP. Overall, the attack was also fairly effective, as it kept both Yumi and Ulrich out of the picture for the last half of the show. This lead to Aelita and Odd being completely overtaxed on Lyoko as the plan was complex enough to require multiple people in various places working against the clock, that was set by the food monster. If not for Aelita's AMAZING save against the monster at the terminal, and the Odd's spectacular mid air rodeo, this would've been game, set and match for XANA.
And I feel kinda sorry for William, the guy just can't get Yumi to pay attention to him.
Yumi has some issues that need working out me thinks. Before William and Ulrich just get fed up with her.

Summaries of the last 5 minutes, eh.....?
YOU GOT IT!!!
Xana Awakens part 1-
In the lab, Jeremie explains the situation on Lyoko to Sissi. As he does, the logo appears on the terminal. The wires on the floor then break free and begin to attack them. Meanwhile, Odd and Ulrich go looking for Maya. Odd's happy that there are girls in the virtual world, too, but Ulrich explains that Jeremie seems to like her. They try to ask Jeremie where to look, but get no answer since the wires are currently attacking Jeremie and Sissi. Ignoring it, the two head to the nearest tower. Odd enters first, but does so incorrectly and ends up hanging from the edge of the platform. Ulrich does the same, and both fall into the void below. Lucky for them, they merely exit another and end up on a glacier. Here they can see a red tower, instead of the normal blue, and four block-like creatures heading for them. These creatures are not friendly either, and make short work of them. To their credit, neither knew how to destroy the creatures, and Ulrich does manage to destroy one before being devirtualized. Both end up back in the scanner room, tired and disoriented.
Heading back to the lab, they find the wires attacking Jeremie. Ulrich tries to chop through the wires with a piece of metal, but the shock repells him. Odd does the same thing, and succeeds. Regaining contact with Maya, Jeremie assures her that everything is alright. While it seems that way, the tower in the glacier sector is still glowing red.
Xana awakens part 2-
Now a day earlier, it seems as if Odd, Ulrich, and Yumi remember what happened. Jeremie still knows about Lyoko, but only because he discovered it several days earlier. They fill him in. Having not gone to Lyoko, Jeremie was excluded from the supercomputer when the return trip took place. He plans to scan himself the next day to prevent it from happening again. In his room, Jeremie explains the situation to Maya. She tells him to call her Aelita, which she realized was her real name after reading it in the tower. Aelita still thinks the supercomputer should be shut down, as do the others, but Jeremie wants one more day to try and bring Aelita to Earth. As the others leave Jeremie's room, they are confronted by Sissi. Like everyone else, she remembers nothing, and is angry for being stood up by Ulrich. Ulrich brushes her off, leaving with his friends.
During a quick tour of Lyoko, Jeremi and Aelita explain who their enemy on Lyoko is: Xana, a powerful program capable of controlling electricity through the supercomputer. Only Aelita can stop Xana, since she is the only one capable of deactivating the towers. Materializing Aelita, on the other hand, is a little less simple, and Jeremie claims he'll need more time to do it. Aelita suggests shutting down the supercomputer once more, but the others disagree. Since they know how to destroy the monsters, and how to stop any attacks, they decide to stick with it until Aelita can be brought to Earth.
Straight to Heart-
In the lab, Jeremie is concerned over Aelita's devirtualization. Heading down to the scanner room, the group finds that she's been devirtualized normally. Jeremie notes that Aelita has been made completely human by the restoration of her memories, and thus can be devirtualized normally like her friends.
In their room, Ulrich explains his conversation with Yumi to Odd. Odd is surprised that Ulrich accepted it so easily. Getting up, Odd says that he has to go apologize to Jim. At Jim's room, he gives back the CD with Jim's disco video on it. Jim is surprised, and also understands Odd's motivation. He promises to do something about Odd's classes, noting that he was young once, too. When Odd asks him about it, he begins to talk about how he had curly hair, but then decides not to talk about it.
Lyoko Minus One-
In the park, the now-unpossessed people aren't sure what's going on. Yumi makes it seem as if they're still on the field trip by pointing out some moss and blaming it on pollution. Meanwhile, Ulrich drags an unconscious William back to detention to convince him the incident was just a dream.
At the factory, Jeremie explains that the Forest has been wiped out. Since the four sectors are the only way to get to Carthage, Xana plans to delete them one by one to keep the group away from Carthage. Therefore, Jeremie needs to find a way to get to Carthage directly. Odd reminds Jeremie about the election for class representative, but Jeremie isn't concerned. The group is just going to vote for Odd so he wins. Sure enough, Odd does win, and finds himself bombarded by requests.
Tidal Wave- Yumi and Ulrich are surrounded by the posessed food creature at the factory, while Odd and Aelita work quickly to both obtain the data necessary to stop the digital sea from consuming Lyoko, AND stop the monsters from yet again trying to destroy the core of Lyoko. Odd show his rodeo skills yet again with the Mantas, and takes all 3 out on his own, and Aelita pulls a "Matrix", dodging a laser from a Creeper, and shooting an Energy Field at it. Afterwards, she retrieves and sends the data to Jeremie, and the digital sea dies down. Odd and Aelita return to the mountain region on the Overbike, fight off a few more monsters, and deactivate the tower.
The food monster collapses, with both Yumi and Ulrich okay, and Ulrich taking a bite of an apple. The group decides to RTTP, knowing that Jim wouldn't be able to believe what had happened today.

Lyoko Minus One: The forest has been...wiped out. For soem reason I liked this. Probably because it shows that this show isn't afraid to step out of what's normal.

I found the story of Loyko Minus one interesting because: 1) Xana can apparently take over other beings, and he ended up using Aelita to destroy the foest sector. 2) I liked how they continue to show that Xana is sinister with this divide and conquer process.
As for today's episode, I found it a bit anti-climactic since it was a food monster. What are they going to do with a food monster? Yuo can bury a person in food, but eventually they can eat their way out, and it'd be difficult to block off air with food.
Honestly, while I love Loyko on Miguzi, since they only have 15 episodes this time around, I feel it would fit much better on the Saturday AM premiere line-up.

Don't knock on the giant monster of food, guys. Okay, I find it hard to believe there's an electrical current running through the food so XANA can take control of it. Still, there was definitely enough food for Yumi and Ulrich to be buried in it. All it takes is an apple to the head to knock you out and then have tons of food thrown on top of you.
Some other notes:
- Yeah, sure, Jim, you're the model of someone in perfect shape. :p
- I can't believe Yumi just did that... using William to get out of class! Well... it was original, that's for sure.
- Double-folded plot. Making the Digital Sea rise not only to block access to the infected tower, but also to Sector 5!
- The more I see it, the more I'm liking Aelita being able to take out XANA's monsters and defend herself. Glad she's not screaming for her life every five minutes, that's for sure. Oh, and interesting move to blast Yumi to dematerialize before she fell into the Sea.
- In regards to the RTTP... I actually could live with the excuse given (because Jim saw the monster), but it would've been better if it was for that fall Yumi took in the Factory, which honestly could've hurt a lot worse than it seemed it did.
"Tidal Wave": 8/10.

They did. The 13 episodes in Season 3 (15 if you count the XANA Awakens prequel), plus 39 episodes that will make up season 4 next year.

It was a hush-hush move by Moonscoop to give us a surprise, thats why they didn't anounce the prequal air date to us.

Oh those sneaky people at Moonscoop! :sweat:But since they didnt want anyone to miss the prequel, they sent out emails with large texts and and epilepsy inducing colors about a must see surprise on October 2nd and 3rd.

Actually, the 3rd production order was for 45 episodes, making a grand total of 97 (26+26+45). How many "seasons" it takes to broadcast those 45 episodes is up to the newwork (CN in this case). Of course, it also depends on how long it takes to produce those episodes. :D

True that CN requested them, but they get what Moonscoop produced. And no, Moonscoop was very clear that season 3 will be 15 and season 4 30. The only difference is that season 3 and 4 were ordered at the same time. But in actuality its 26+26+2+13+30, 2 being the prequel.

So will season 4 be airing this winter, or are they saving it for spring?

Why are people already asking about when Season 4 starts when Season 3 is airing right now? Didn't we get enough of the 'when's Season 3 start?' questions for six months already? Geese, you people are insatiable sometimes...
