Monday, October 2, 2006- Episode 52- Inferno
In the final episode of Cybertron peace has settled on the Earth, but new information will reveal why Landmine arrived on Earth and not elsewhere and why Scattershot had such unusual reading when they arrived.

Meet the characters:
Autobot forces:

Optimus Prime:
Optimus Prime is a leader in the best sense of the word, taking point on every mission and never sending his team into any situation he wouldn't go himself. Dedicated to the protection of all life and the preservation of freedom for all sentient beings, he serves as a role model for his fellow Autobots. It is through his keen intelligence, even hand, steady nerves and endless compassion that the Autobots sontinue to frustrate de Decepticons evil plans again and again. In a desperate race against time, Optimus Prime has been forced to send teams of his best soldiers into unknown parts of the Universe in search of the lost planet keys, ancient artifacts with the power to save Cybertron and the rest of the Universe from the giant black hole formed from the implosion of Unicron.

Jetfire:
He is sincere & is a vice-commander whose reliance is also thick. He is also a realist who can clearly advocate objections from a clear point of view to make difficult judgments & simultaneously manages the given command exactly when it is given. At the time of the Earth migration, he proposed disguising himself so not to disturb the Earth governments.

Hot Shot:
A natural leader with a lot yet to learn, Hot Shot often races straight into danger at top speed. He takes great pride in the fact that he's the fastest Autobot there is, but it isn't until he gets to the Speed Planet that he learns the true meaning of velocity. Faced by the almost unbeatable Override, Hot Shot needs to learn a whole new way of thinking about acceleration before he can win the Great Race.

Landmine:
With a wisdom born of experience, and a tactical knowledge unmatched among the Autobot ranks, Landmine is a soldier other 'bots follow without reservation. He suffered heavy injuries in the final fight with Unicron. After a crash-landing on Earth, he was repaired by the new human allies of the Autobots. An excellent battlefield commander, he's determined to prevent the Decepticons from gaining an edge by recovering the Earth Cyber Planet Key.

Overhaul/ Leobreaker:
One tough Autobot, Overhaul has never thought much of intellectual pursuits. His solution to a complex problem is generally to stomp on it until it gets simple or stops being a problem. He's never felt that he's had the respect his strenght deserves from the other Autobots, but now that he's on the Jungle Planet - where might makes right - he feels right at home. Override eventually taps into the Jungle Planet key and is reformatted into Loebreaker, a mighty lion Transformer. With his new form, he can link with Optimus and form the mighty savage claw mode.

Scattorshot:
Probably the most neurotic Autobot ever created, Scattorshot always gets the job done. As the right hand 'bot to Jetfire in protecting Earth, he worries so much about messing up in front of his legendary commander that he sets a nearly impossible standard for himself. Despite his nervous clumsiness, he somehow never seems to fail, but his good luck just serves as proof to him that somewhere in the universe is a huge stone of bad karma just waiting for the right moment to come crashing down on him.

Vector Prime:
Vector Prime is one of the first Transformers. A powerful, wise and incredibly ancient warrior, he has served as protector over Cybertron since its beginnings. Pulled out of the shadows of time by a distress signal broadcast by his damaged planet, he arrives too late to save Cybertron without assistance. Arising from an era in which all Transformers lived in harmony, he is unaware of the conflict between the Autobots and Decepticons, a fact that Megatron uses to trick him and steal the map to the lost planets and the planet keys. Realizing his mistake, he joins Optimus Prime and pledges his knowledge and skill to the desperate quest to retrieve the planet keys before Megatron.

Override:
Long-time champion and leader of the Speed Planet, Override is always ready for a race. Acceleration is her only ideal, but she respects anyone with the guts to challenge her. She's faced and beaten thousands of upstart speedsters in her time. At first she's suspicious of the intentions Hot Shot and th Autobots have for her world's Cyber Planet Key, but once she realizes what's at stake she's only too glad to help.

The Minicons Jolt, Six Speed, Reverb, Safeguard, Drillbit, Stripmine, and Heavy Load:
These small Transformers have the ability to attach to any Transformer and give them greater power. With a size similiar to that of a human child, they also have the ability to escape, and while Jolt can speak English and warp, the others help assist which ever Autobot asks them for help. Because of their similiar nature, they gain a quick friendship with Coby, Lori, and Bud.

Snarl:
This wolf bot joined the Autobot forces on Jungle Planet where he helped Override sift through the elements. He was accused of being a traitor by Scourge, but Leobreaker refused to let him die allowing Snarl to join the Autobots. His wolf form gives him great speed against his enemies, and his pride make him a willing servant to all the Autobots.

Scourge:
Scourge is the brutal and awesomely powerful ruler of the Jungle Planet. He views any display of kindness, compassion or generosity as weakness, and he hates weakness. Cold, distant, and prone to violent rage against those he views as lesser creatures, he holds most of the Jungle Planet firmly in his transmetal claw. Those defying him are likely to experience the searing heat of his stellar plasma breath, or the bite of his axe as their final sensation before their spark is extinguished. Overhaul, Snarl, and the Jungle Planet rebels will find him to be the most powerful foe they have ever faced.

Evac:
This Autobot has assisted Crosswise at guarding the cyber planet key, but he was also the one who remembered the stories of Cybertron. When he discovered the Autobots were from Cybertron and fighting to save the galaxy, he quickly signed up and became their new eye in the sky with propeller power.

Wing Saber:
Regarded as one of the great Autobot warriors, but Wing Saber also has a nasty problem with his temper. There's nothing to fear when he's around though, for Wing Saber can combine with Optimus to form the powerful Sonic Wing mode.

Metroplex:
The leader of Giagantion and the largest Transformer known next to Primus. His moto is too always have "Safety first" and to obey the ancient traditions, but after seeing how dangerous the Decepticons can be, Metroplex decides to disregard their ancient rules and join the Autobots on their quest.

Quickmix:
This Transformer is the best friend of Metroplex, and he joins him on all the quests. While he seems to be sitting off to the side, he's actually calculating the next best move, and he's always ready to frezze an opponent in place with his Quick Mix cement.

Menasor:
This young Transformer only desired to break away from the rules of Gigantion, but the first Transformers he ran into were the Decepticons. He joins up with their cause, without caring what the means are, but throughout the process his friends are trying to work with him and show him the errors of his way.

Primus:
The creator of the Transformers. He stands ready blasting the Black Hole trying to keep is from consuming the galaxy, but without all the Cyber Planet Keys and the 4 great ships, he seems to have less power than everyone would desire.

Decepticon Forces:

Megatron/ Galvatron:
For millions of years, Megatron has lead fanatical legions of evil Decepticons on their war for conquest of the Universe. A living weapon with dozens of self-inflicted modifications made in the name of increased power and destructive capability, his only weakness is his single-minded desire for the enslavement of the Universe. His intellect, ego and talent for deception are second to none, and he rules his Decepticons with an iron-fisted combination of fear and force of personality. Driven by a nearly insane lust for power, Megatron managed not only to survive the catastrophic implosion of Unicron, but also to absorb much of his power. Now, wearing salvaged pieces of the ancient destroyer's armor, Megatron is awesomely powerful, and is determined to beat Optimus Prime and the Autobots to the lost planet keys at all costs, even if it means he must change his form and design to something more powerful than anyone could imagine, and it could result in a whole new leader of terror.

Starscream:
Unsurpassed in ego or ambition, Starscream is the scheming second-in-command to Megatron. With his mastery of the sword, null-ray cannons that can disrupt the functioning of even the most hardened Autobot and a vast array of secondary weapons, Starscream is second only to Megatron and Optimus Prime in power. His speed is uncanny, oftne giving slower 'bots the impression that he actually teleports around the battlefield. Left stranded on Earth to battle Jetfire - the only Autobot warrior capable of even coming close to matching Starscream for speed or skill in aerial combat. Starscream has now set out on his own though, and with Sideways, he desires to take all the power for himself and eventually rule the entire world.

Thundercracker:
This loyal Decepticon works under the command of Starscream for the recovery of the Planet Key on Earth. Thundercracker believes that the most effective way to defeat an enemy is to terrorize and demoralize him before attacking. The mere sound of his focused sonic booms - audible for more than 200 miles - is enought to frighten many other Transformers.

Crumplezone:
Trusting but dumb, Crumplezone is often drawn into serving as the muscle to back up the paranoid plotting of his partner Ransack. Huge, powerful and superfast, Crumplezone is sometimes surprised by sudden turns. Not that it matters - he's the biggest guy on the Speed Planet, and crashing straight ahead through whatever gets in his way is his specialty. Twin-turbine ramjets can propel him at nearly the speed of sound, and selective thrust reversal allows him to fire hypersonic, high-explosive slugs nearly 12 miles.

Ransack:
Skittish and suspicious, Ransack is a loudmouth bully, always ready to intimidate others into giving him what he wants, but only when his big partner Crumplezone is around. With the energy of the Speed Planet flowing through his circuitry, everything about him is fast - sometimes too fast. Unable to stop thinking or moving, his hyperactive mind tends to draw connections between unconnected things, and sees conspiracy everywhere.

Sideways:
This Transformer claims to be a spy for the Autobots, but he has joined Starscream at trying to overthrow Megatron's regimine and is watching side-by-side with Starscream. He has the ability to shift the logo on his outfit as well as the ability to warp anywhere he chooses. With Starscream at his side, he could soon become the most sneaky ruler of them all, but does he have other hidden ambitions?

Thunderblast:
This female Decepticon was one of the "mosters" that was trapped by Crosswise. When she was freed she began to play around and took on the form of a speed boat. Now Thunderblast has joined Megatron and his cronies, but unlike the others she always looks out for his brains and her bod. Just don't get on her bad side, or you'll have cruise missles headed your way, adn you can be sure that her, Lori, and Override will soon have a rivalry to make anyone laugh.

Soundwave:
The second Transformer from Planet X, but Soundwave desires to bring his people back to glory at all costs. As a result, he has joined Megatron believing him to be the most powerful force around.

Other bots:

Crosswise:
Crosswise is the self-appointed Monster Hunter for the planet Earth. He joined up with the Autobots when they were searching for the Planet Key, and he travelled in space with them to Cybertron, but eventually he felt he needed to stay on Earth and protect the innocent.

Mudflap:
With a desire to not obey the rules, Mudflap decides to join the Decepticons, but after Landmine calls him out about what is right and wrong, he carefully observes the Deceticons and rebels against their ways.

Lugnutz:
Originally he was one of the "Monster" Decepticons released by Starscream, but he doesn't care who wins the battle between good and evil. All he cares about is desiring to relax.

Clocker:
This young Transformer is the official protector of Brakedown, or so he thinks. He resides on the Speed Planet, and he is called on to assist the Autobots by providing resources from the Speed Planet at times.

Brakedown:
He may be old, but his gift is the ability to teach. He resides on the Speed Planet and is more than willing to provide guidance to those who ask for assistance. In the end, he serves as the teacher for Clocker and for Hot Shot when he visits.

Dirt Boss:
Dirt Boss may seem innocent, but he has the ability to race on all terrains and hates Override. He is the third participant in the race for the Speed Cup with Override and Hot Shot, but in the end his alliance with Ransack and Crumplezone costs him his dream. It is unknown where his true allegiance is.

Backstop:
Backstop serves as a mentor for Leobreaker after he changes forms, but he desires to show Scourge the error of his ways and what true protection is all about.

Undermine:
This spinosarus doesn't do much but follow Scourge's orders, but he's loyal to whoever the leader is.

Brimstone:
He may not be very bright, but Brimstone is always ready to fight for Scourge and prove that he is the second most powerful warrior around.

Scrapmetals:
While they do have a Decepticon symbol on them, these Transformers are really parasites that move from planet to planet hoping to devour them all.

Nemesis Breaker:
Created from the darkness of Leo Breaker's heart, Nemesis Breaker said not a word and combined with Megatron to form dark claw mode. However, a swift smackdown from Metroplex destroyed Nemesis Breaker leaving him trapped in the unknown.

Humans:

Coby:
A proud 14 year old boy who is proficient in repairs and reconstruction of mechanisms. Under the influence of his father who was a racer, motor crossing has become his hobby. He is vigorous and a cheerful character, but in secret, he worries about the comparison with the excellent records of his older brother and has thoughts of wanting to be accepted/recognized by his father is strongly above necessity.

Bud:
He is the 11 year old younger brother of Coby. He loves to watch "B" movies of Sci-Fi, Kung Fu and crime, and imitates them well. Although his wild way of thinking is shocking, it invites humor, which occasionally has even saved him in time of crisis. His communication with the Mini-Cons is possible without intentionally knowing why.

Lori:
This 14 year old city girl is taken to the country by her parents who have a taste for the outdoors. Although it is a harsh place, she stubbornly continues her city lifestyle. She cannot adhere to phenomenon that much, but her different sense of values can be accepted.

Colonel Mick Franklin:
He watches over the Transformers for the US Government and provides assistance when it's needed. At the same time, he tries to keep the othjer humans safe fro the knowledge of Giant robots.

Professor Lucy Suzuki:
A scientist who gathers information on alien life forms. She eventually meets the Autobtos and decides to assist the kids in their battle.

Tim:
The older brother of Coby and Bud. He has a strong desire to protect his brothers at all costs, even if it means lying to his parents for them.

Stanton:
The wise mechanic who taught Coby how to work on cars. Little did he know that his knowledge would go and help protect the world.

The Parents:
As any group of parents, they tend to not believe in wild type fantasy tales, but when they meet the Transformers, they give theitr consent for them to go to Gigantion. At the same time they recieve a prmise that not only will their kids be protected, but the world will be saved at all costs.

To me this is one of the most emotional episodes of Transformers ever made. Sure, Vector Prime bit the dust, but he did so to allow the entire universe to be saved, and while the music may not have been the best, it adds to the empact of what's going. I'm glad that Jolt's VA was able to portray some enmotion though. Otherwise, this would have been a bore.

While this episode may not have had a lot of action, it defintley is a great set-up for the bang this series is going to go out with. I love how they formed the for ships together to form the arc, and Scourge finally joins the Autobots here. Also, we get the return of all the Transformers that have exsisted in this series, minus Nemesis Breaker, and the enemies have become allies for this finally showdown. Galvatrno may be more powerful than anybody else, but if he thought he'd get an easy win, he is surely mistaken.

I guess nobody wants to comment on these final few episodes, so I shall. I loved both of these episodes, mostly because the fights between Optimus Prime and Megatron/ Galvatron have been the best highlight in this series. Today's episode gave us the final conflict between those two in this series (though I still wonder why Galvatron faded into a light instead of blowing up into millions of pieces. Perhaps he was being sent to another dimension. ;) ), and it also resolved all the conflicts in this series: Jungle Planet is moved home, and the worlds are once again connected by the space bridge. I'm still honestly trying to figure out why the Autobots didn't use the 4 ships in this episode though since the 4 ships are in the next episode.

I also couldn't help but love the Decepticons reaction today when they joined the others, and Thundercracker has been hillarious thourghout the series, but he still does get a final shining moment tommorow.

Wednesday's episode was great since they united the 5 leaders together, and each leader recovered the key element for their planet (the 4 cyber planet keys and the Omega Lock). It's true that Galvatron underestimated them, but hey, bad guys always do.

I liked the moments between both Galvatron and Starscream as he encourged Galvatron to keep. On fighting and on the plus side the fight between him and Prime was a good one though I wonder why it took Galvatron so long to use that one attack.

And so another Transfomers series has come to an end. I enjoy it more than Energeon and Armada. This episode was pretty good.

Highlights:

- It was good to see the leaders of each planet coming together to form a council.

- The interviews were great expecially Thundercraker with his fake Autobot symbol  .

- I surprised to see the Stop Light Transformer transform. I always wonder where his Autobot body was . I got a laugh when he decided to go on an adventure after 52 episode of him doing nothing.

- The fight to decide who was the leader of Beast Planet was pretty cool.

- The Decepticons turning evil again was priceless  .

- Seeing the humans from the previous series at the end was shocking . Btw where did they get those images from?

- Yay!!! Coby and Lori got married at the end credits :) .

Farewell, Transformers. Till all are one... or at least till the next series and next summer movie come along.

Actually, there is still one more episode to air- Inferno- the real second episode, which will air on Monday, but it defintley seems out of place after watching the final episode.

Hasbro created the images of the humans from the previous two series to place that idea that "the three series all tie together" in mind.

Like I said yesterday, Thundercracker gets to go out with a shine here. Ransack and Crumplezone basically get exiled to nothingness though here, and Thunderblast only discusses her looks and desire for power.

The Stop light Transformer has always been under used. I wish we had gotten to see more of him.

Cybertron has raised the bar back where it should be: next to G1 and Beast Wars, but it's good that they saved one of the best series for the last, if it truly is the last for a few years. I attribute much of this series success to Gonzo for his wonderful animation, and I can't wait to see what they decide to do next, whether it's Peter Cullen as Optimus in the movie or if it's a new series.

And so we have the real epsidoe 2 air as the finale. It was humorous seeing the humans confuse Landmine as Bigfoot, and we actually get to see Coby show off some of his mechanical skills here. Cybertron was a refreshing series, and it shall be missed.

I wish I had watched more of "Cybertron," I had seen up to around episode 20 which aired on kids WB. But I have not seen anything else past that point. I especially want to see it since Primus is in it. I heard it was a good ending and so I will have to eventually see it.

The "Stop Light" TF was named Signal Lancer in Japaneseand he's had a design since roughly the beginning of the show. His transformation is modified from Mudflap (the blue crane decepticon)

The CN Transformers online site has been taken down, but many of the episodes are available online at Hasbro's site. Also, they are rerunning the last few episodes again right now, and after that, the rumor is they will go back to the beginning.

Ok, just got done watching the reruns of 'Cybertron' and I have a question. Since it is late October, are they actually going to show the last episode, (Inferno)? Also, on a side note, can anyone tell me who all was in the last shot after they zoomed out of Coby and Laurie's (sp?) wedding shot? And I mean besides Optimus in the background.

And in case they don't re-air the last ep, can anyone fill me in on a recap of it? I originally missed it because I didn't realize that the second half of the series had aired until after it started, and figured they would show it all over again.

My bad.

Yes, Inferno is airing next week (on Monday) at 6:30 AM, and then they are going back to episode 1 (Fallen) after Inferno. Also, they are changing the time for the show on Wednesday, as mentioned on the front page, from 6:30 AM to 6 AM.
