I'm really starting to like Lela. And this episode was very good. Lela's (almost) fitting in quite well not to mention she makes a great monster-butt-kicking partner for June. ;)

I'm finding Lela a sort of redundant character during Junes monster fights. She seems to be taking the place of AhMah for June to talk to someone about the magical world.
But, when Lela gets on her own, like fighting the Valcuries, she is better used. I like her trying to learn to fit in,,, but not doing too well. Growling at Racheal was the funniest part.
The makeover wasn't quite what I expected, except for Roger. A boy getting around girls with hair dye is asking for trouble :anime:.
RayRay was a waste of time in this episode, almost an afterthought. He and Monroe doing makeup,,, was just wrong:p.
Scattering the locator stones at random seemed wrong. But the monster was funny, especially Lela having him pegged as bad news from the start. Leading to Monroe's best gags.
Not a bad ep, but not the best.

Was Jody's sister Rachel always this wild? I faintly remember last season's bar-mitzvah episode, but not much of her...
Though my opinion of Lela improved a bit this week (didn't see last week's), I still have mixed feelings about her. Sure, she can kick butt like June, but that just makes them way to similar. I mean, it's nice to see how, despite her fears, she adapted to June's friends a lot quicker than some other cartoon characters that have been in the same situation. But now, that pretty much leaves little difference between her and June, save for having fur. Eh... we'll see, maybe the writers will prove me otherwise...
As for the rest of the episode, the makeover bits, especially with the wild hairdos, were fun. Especially Roger's... I can't believe he'd let them do that to him!
"Make Me Up Before You Go-Go": 7.5/10

I missed this thanks to Rosh Hashana. I hoped to catch the rerun last night, but CN, in its infinite wisdom, decided that we really, really needed a two-hour "My Gym Partner is a Butt-Obsessed Moron" marathon. Because they don't shove that show down our throat nearly enough.
God, I hate CN's programming department.

Definitely. She was as totally loud and controlling at her bat-mitzvah as in this one. She's a bit of a stereo type of what was described to me as a "Jewish American Princess", but I don't know if they really exist.
I kept thinking how much she sounded like Ray-Ray that they may be the same VA, but she shares with Jodie. Who also has the family "uptight gene", though not as extreme. :anime: She's a great high energy character, especially when Jodies friends would rather avoid her but don't want to hurt Jodies feelings.
Adding Leela has me a bit worried. They seem to be burying this show with mediocre timeslots and they keep adding characters. It may be a sign that the writing staff is weak. At least in the eyes of the network execs.
I always like it better with a large cast rather than the "June and Ray-Ray" shows.
