For some reason it was listed as being "White Collarless" this week on my program guide thing but in hindsight I don't know why I trusted that. >=(

oops the title is Glass Eyes

great episode! the glass eyes made Tom and the Mayor look wackier then usual :) Tom always seems to make his kids cry what a bad dad! the barrel goat cartoon short must have been the most animated thing this shows done since Toms squirrel friend last season :p married news teams goat song and the whole event was funny to!

Why is it that I found Kenny throwing a shuriken in Butter's eye funny on South Park funny but I didn't find the Mayor shooting an arrow into Tom's eye funny? Maybe it's because Tom looks more like a real person. Maybe it's because Butter's eye was only injured and Tom actually lost both eyes. Maybe it's because the mayor does something horrible to Tom in every episode and it got old before it started.

That song the Married News Team sings is so great. So was Dave Foley. But everything else was sort of mediocre by Tom standards. Not one of my favorites.

The setup for the Butters incident was better.

3.5/5 for this week.

Agreed. Of course, The Mayor lost both of his eyes too. On purpose.

You know what? This had to be the most ****ed up episode of anything ever.

That'll change when you see the finale...

I really liked this episode. Partially becuase the mayor didn't seem too cruel (he was only trying to help and he did buy all the hoogies) and partly becuase the jokes were funny. I loved the bouncing off the eyes part and the part where he imagines licking the hoogie.

The characters in this show actually get me to care about them somehow, and I think that using actual people as character models are the cause of that. :P

I liked this episode a lot. It definately had it's moments, and the ending where both of Tom's eyes were lost was hilarious and slightly cringe-worthy.

5/5.

I've always been a huge fan of Tom since the beginning, and this episode proves my point that this is one of the most odd-ball and unique shows out there.

I think I liked this one a bit more than the last 2. Married news team were actually put to use in this with the bizzaro ho-down song, and the Mayor obsessing over anything is usually comedy gold.

Once again cameos by hilarious people (Dave Foley and Bob odenkirk as the dime)

The eyes were creepy as hell. The ending was totally telegraphed but still pretty funny.

3/5
*****I see the Tom sympathy, but the problems in his life are at least possibly his fault. He should know by now at least the Mayor is not exactly the best person to be spending time with, much less someone to ditch your step-kids in order to fulfill your mancrush.

It kind of shows why it would be pointless for the mayor to get his comeuppance. I mean, we saw in a previous episode that he didn't care that he and the entire town drowned to death. And in this episode he removed his eyes, not seeming to care at all that he was now blind. If Tom ever did pay the mayor back for all the misery he puts him through, it's very likely that the mayor just wouldn't care.

*Tom walks into The Mayor's office with a gun.*

Tom: Mayor, I'm here to kill you.

The Mayor: Fine.

Tom: You've just put me through... well, quite a lot for the past few months and... I just can't take it anymore.

The Mayor: Ok. And you are, sir?

Tom: Uh... Tom... Tom Peters. Your killer.

The Mayor: Fine. Good.

*Tom shoots The Mayor. He falls over bleeding.*

The Mayor: Ha ha, oh Tom...

Give the Mayor a break. How else would you survive living in Jefferton on a daily basis without some sort of disconnection from reality?

That would actually be a pretty funny episode. Tim and Eric should hire you.

That diologue does perfectly match their style and I can imagine them saying it. I can even imagine Tom holding the gun in a wussy way and the mayor smiling with tomato juice on his shirt.

Simple.....

Honestly I just thought this was an average episode, but that doesn't mean I still didn't enjoy it. Allthough I think Gibbons should appear in more episodes, the awkward conversations that he has in past episodes really add alot to scenes that in other instances would be considered stale.

Mayor's obsession for Hoo-gies gave me a good chuckle. Otherwise, it wasn't that great of an episode. Dave Foley added to it though.

This is officially the most hilarious Fan Fiction I've ever read.
And I thought the rediculous and unintentionally hilarious "Simpsons at 9/11" fan fiction could never be topped

If the finale is more ****ed up than this...
then it will be the best finale ever. Oh it is, it is. You'll see.

As for Glass Eyes, I loved it. Better than last weeks, especially because of the actual "cartoon" in it, and the whole concept of killing goats to sell hooooogies to get the eye company to give broken eyes to eyeless kids...

And another pointless celebrity cameo! For any other show *cough Will & Grace cough* I'd be sick to death of the celebrity cameos. Only Tom Goes to the Mayor handles pointless celebrity cameos this well.

On another note, does Joy love the boys? She seems to care when Tom makes them upset in this episode.

She always gets pissed off at Tom when he upsets them. I think it might be just that she's too lazy to deal with their crying and screaming though.
