I don't know what I'm going to do. With the Iran situation, countless end times predictions, people saying we won't make it to 2008, and the House of Yahew declaring nuclear war to happen on Sept. 12 of this year, I feel like I'm on the verge of a nervous breakdown! I try to tell myself that everything will be alright, but the news channels say otherwise. I mean I actually broke down and started crying! What the heck can I do?!!!

If I were you, I would stop watching tv newscasts. They bombard viewers with bombastic scare tactics to keep them watching.
Second, ignore the end times predictions. Prophecy is a guess at best, Nostradamus' predictions can be interpreted many different ways, and again, these things are being reported to scare you. As far as 'people saying we won't make it to 2008', who are these people and how could they possibly know this? Don't pay any attention to scare mongers.
Third, acknowledge that there are always going to be things that you can't control. One of the best pieces of advice I've ever recieved is 'don't worry about things you can't control'. Bad things may happen, they may not. If they do, figure out how to adapt when the time comes.

Just so you know, the House of Yahweh is considered to be a bit of a cult. The group's leader apparently even requires that, in order to achieve salvation, members of his church must donate a sizeable percentage of their incomes directly to him. This also isn't the first end-time prophecy he's made- apparently the world was supposed to enter a nuclear holocaust in October 2000- and that obviously never happened.
My advice? Calm down, and don't listen to any of these silly prophecies. Countless ones have been made since the 1900s, and none of them have ever come to pass. Also, humans have always been- and always will be- at war with each other; just because the news makes it seem like we've become more violent doesn't mean that's the case at all.

Welcome to my world. After years of brain wracking, I've decided to just ride my cluelessness to wherever it takes me.

As Czar mentioned, HOY is nothing but a cult. Many of these cults come up with these false predictions to get attention. Are you with this group? If so, you need to get out. If not, then just simply do not listen to them.

First off stop listening to cults, cults are pyramid schemes
Second there isn't enough news daily to fill a 24hr news channel, just watch the 5-7 oclick news onwhatever station. Or just watch the Daily Show/ Correl Report
Third, there's a list of all the Doomsday predictions that date back a few centuries, it's on the internet somewhere. It's way more than a few hundred thousand, and 99% of them did not happen, the other 1% are recent and therefore we have not passed the date on thier events.
However it should be noted that none of them even predicted things like both World Wars, Vietnam, or September 11
Fourth, United states has missle interception systems and who knows what else, the Discovery Channel/TLC/ History Channel/Science Channel/Military Channel often show what these things do. North America is very well protected from things like Nuclear missles

Well, ignore the hype. Remember the Millenium when the computers were all going to crash? Anything as big as the end of the world, what can you do but watch.
But not a bad idea for everyone. Have your "go bag" handy and your family emergency plan. Your Local Emergency Planning Commitee will have a general list that you can keep ready for problems. LEPC, FEMA, Red Cross has information online.
Evacuation Centers don't provide pillows even when they are stocked with supplies.

No, I'm not with them. I'm so sorry for troubling you guys over this. I think a part of the problem is that I lost my grandmother recently. I have been depressed since she died. I lost control. Thanks for straighting me out and, again, sorry for the trouble.

My attitude sums this thing about 'The end times' as such.. and it's in the form of two words that best spell it out.

After all, it's bound to happen....
(That is, unless we change our ways, and alter time tmeline in someway.)

Don't let the news change the veiw of your future, no matter what the news says just ignore most of it because they throw in alot of Iraq\Iran stuff just to keep people watching, the news dosen't realise though that they're making some people scared out of their minds, or they just don't care. Ever since the war started the news became junk as all they really talk about now is Iran\Iraq and celeberties, I'd rather hear about storms and events that actually matter to me in MO and not junk about Paris Hilton being bitten by her monkey (Gotta feel sorry for whatever she does to the poor monkey) or nuclear junk. Just find a good 80's rock song (Modern rock kinda gets ya angry) and ignore the Iraq\Iran junk, just focus on your life and whats ahead, AND BE HAPPY!!!

um well sometimes the news tend to over exaggerate alot of things... but then again that doesnt mean you should ignore warning signs. i mean look at what happened to Lebanon; we thought everything was actually easing up and that we were all finally living in um harmony with Israel until this little situation.
i would say just stay on your guard and only worry about what's going on locally. :D cheers.
