Hello, friends from Toon Zone, Yesterdaylanders, Memory Laners and Retrolanders from Latin America and the rest of the world!
I have some news, mainly to the elderest fans from Latin America.
Boomerang Latin America (http://www.boomerangla.com/portuguese, http://www.boomerangla.com/spanish or http://www.boomerangla.com/english) will broadcast The Archie Show in September.
Produced by Filmation (http://www.louscheimer.com) in association with Archie Comics (http://www.archiecomics.com) in 1968, Archie Show is the version for TV from the comics of the adventures of Archie, Jughead, Reggie, Betty and Veronica, students from the Riverdale High School, who are members of a rock'n'roll band. They're the 60s teenies, with their aspirations and life styles. This cartoon series was produced to confront the supehero genre (which it was en vogue on that occasion). It was a smash hit, and generated a variety of spin-offs, as: The Archie-Sabrina Show (1969), The Archie's Funhouse (1970), Archie's TV Funnies (1971), Everything's Archie (1973), The US of Archie (1974) and The Archie and Sabrina Surprise Package (1977).
And now, to refresh your minds, here are the lyrics from the theme song of the overture from The Archie Show:
