So we all know that LG Chocolate is "part mp3 player, part phone" offered exclusive by Verizon Wireless, and it's having an agressive marketing campaign to get people to buy the phone, So, Did you get one?

Honestly, I can't stand these technological innovations that are named after food. Blackberry, now chocolate? It makes me hungry every time I think about it.
I will not buy this faux-chocolate, and not only on the principle that I love chocolate to death and this is anything but. I don't need one. I already have a cell phone, and I never feel the need to listen to music on the go. (I'm too busy getting there.) Heck, my MOM has gotten an mp3 player before I have!
I can see how the combination phone/mp3 player/PC/GPS things are a huge benefit to some people, but so far I've not needed anything like this. Bet it'll be on most students' back-to-school shopping lists, though. :p

I was all for getting this phone (my new every two is up in a few months) till I read the cnet review:

LG typically revises and enhances their phones every year. In the three cases I'm aware of, the enhanced version of the first gen phone is much better. I'm hoping the second generation Chocolate (if there is one) follows suit.

Considering I have had bad experiences with LG phones (including my current one which I was forced to take) with the battery and it flaking on its own... I try to stay away from any LG phones.
My next phone is a Blackverry 7280 since I need to keep track of my schedule since my job leaves me brain dead

I think that the MP3/Phone conecpt is innovative, LG has put a lot of effort into the phone, But I like the removal of the speakerphone, I don't think it has any use or if anyone uses it.

I've found speakerphone handy since I lack a hands-free attachment (and I'm loathed to shill the 20-50 bucks for one,) because I can just set my phone down when I'm otherwise busy cooking or lifting or sorting something, but still continue a conversation. I'd certainly be unhappy with a phone without the feature.
