Ok so it's 3 o'clock at night and I can't sleep.I just saw the scarriest horror movie and I asked my mother to look under my bed twice to see if someone or something was there.Yeah!!!That's how scared I am.This is actually the second horror movie I have seen in my life.I didn't even see it all,I left at the middle of it ,it got to scarry. And now I can't sleep.I'll probably sleep tommorow, when the sun will rise,as I am in the summer holiday and have got all the time in the world to sllep.
I've always had a thing for horror movies.Never could watched them.I remembered I saw one named "Dark Water",but I didn't react like now.I guess I didn't think much about it.You see my brother has a whole drawer full of movies, mostly horror...all the horror movie you could ever think of.Of course I prefer documentaries.
My question is did you ever feel scared after watching a horror movie? If you did how did you manage to pass the moment?
Sorry for the grammar mistakes.I'll probanly correct this in the morning. Now I am just too tired.

I love a good horror movie or novel, but I have to admit after all these years of exposure they don't really phase me all that much. They might get a good jump out of me while the movie is in progress, but it's been a long time since I was sure something was coming down the hall at me when I was heading to bed afterwards. :D

Same for me. I've jumped a time or two while watching a horror movie, but rarely have I felt a sense of fear after it's over. The only time I can recall was when I saw TREMORS for the first time back in 1989, and I was afraid to walk on the ground afterward for about a day.

Well if it makes you feel any better, me and Rini were watching previews and clips for The Grudge on the internet and afterwards I had to sleep with a light on for a week. My brother and my cousin saw the Ring--it resulted in both of them sleeping with their lights on and the hall lights on. And last, but certainly not least, a few days ago a friend and I went to see Step Up. There was a preview for The Grudge 2 (or whatever it's called) and after about five seconds I covered my eyes with my hands and told her to tell me when it was over. :anime:

What movie was it?
The last time I got extremely scared after watching a Horror was when I was about 5 or 6, and technically, it wasn't the movie that scared the living crap out of me. It was my mom.
I use to own a My Buddy doll, and after watching Child's Play for the first time, I went to bed (thinking nothing.. I've been watching scary movies since I was 2). Before I was asleep, my mom lifts the doll over the foot of my bed and says "You wanna play?".
Scared the crap out of me so bad, I can't watch Child's Play 1 through 3 without becoming an insomniac for a couple days.
Oh, and Horrors (or Thrillers) now-a-days just aren't scary. And if you say you're scared from watching The Ring or The Grudge, watch the original Japanese movies (there are 5 Rings and i think 4 Ju-Ons [give or take]). They can get away with a little more since they don't have such strict guidelines like we do for movies. Also, try the Tomie movies and watch Flower of Flesh and Blood (not for weak stomachs).
Just be ready to read, as they don't come dubbed (right now).

My Buddy dolls are horrors in themselves. First time I saw one it creeped me out pretty bad, and I had never even heard of "Child's Play" at the time.

I also had a My Buddy doll, and we were inseperable. Fortunately, I'd grown out of it by the tie CHILD'S PLAY came out, and I remember thinking at the time, "I'm glad I'm not little with a My Buddy, that movie would really freak me out."

I used to watch horror movies all the time when I was a kid, but now you can't get me near them. I'm chicken, I admit it (just don't make a sandwich out of me). I used to have nightmares all the time because of those darn movies, but I still watched them. I was stupid. What am I saying was?
Whenever I got scared, because of a movie or otherwise, I'd always just curl into a ball and stay absolutely still. Eventually, I'd fall asleep. I used to think that nothing can hurt you when you stay still because who wants to kill a sleeping person? There's less fun in that, or something. I dunno. This is the logic I formed when I was seven... I never thought to change it.

What movie was it?
I don't remember the name ,but I know it had an age limit of 18.
Anyway I'm not scared any more. The sense of fear usually vanishes within 24 hours in my case.

I never really watch traditional horror movies. But,,, when I was way too young I saw Jaws and was physically ill for three nights. Alien kept me awake all night, every time I went to sleep I dreamed the "spiderhand things" where crawling across the floor. I had a bad dream after Aliens and just read the rest of the night. it gets easier as you get older and can accept the unreality of it all,,, or reality scares you more, I'm not sure which.
