When Going To Best Buy To Get The Simpsons Season 8 DVD, I Had Taken My Bike Since I Needed The Exercise (And The fact that I don't have a car). I had parked the bike in front of the store and locked and then went in. But when I had gotten out I had found it stolen. No marks of the tire or even the busted or broken lock or anything: just disappeared. One of the guys who worked there said they had seen someone walk out with it but didn't give a good enough description to follow as a lead. And since I needed to get to work and didn't have time to follow a detail report, I just had to take a bus out of there and later just get a new bike. Something like this had happened to me once before (except the bike was taken from my own shed at home) which got me to thinking: Just how much stuff gets taken from us under our own noses, and just how much do we care if it gets taken?

So discuss on personal expierences you've had with being robbed here. You know, what they took, where and when, etc and see you are not alone in the act of being vandalized.

here's an embaressing story:

s me and my best friend we sorta "stole" a locker key for the lockers at the country club we went to everyday during summer. we kept that key till the next summer and found that it worked. (we kept our stuff in there the entire time so we wouldnt have to drag it with us) so one day the next summer we open the locker and we find other people's stuff in it and soon we discover that the key had a duplicate and someone else was using the locker. anywho we got to know these people and stuff and decided to share the locker. by the end of hte day, me and my friend decide its time to go home. we head back to the locker and to our surprise we discover we've just been robbed . they took my tennis raquet (which was worth like 70$) our beach towels shampoo and a summer dress i wore over my bathing suit.

that taught us a lesson.

In first grade, two of my Ninja Turtles figures (Leo and Mikey) were stolen, after I brought all four to class.

-A- Mikey was turned in a few weeks later, though it was so beat up and worn it probably wasnt mine. I took it anyway.

When we moved out of our apartment in 93, dad decided it was easier for him to pick me up from there after school before driving to the new house. The apartment was empty except for a 13" tv that he left there so I'd have something to do when I got home. Well I got home, and the tv was gone. I assumed dad had taken it until he came to get me and was shocked the tv was gone too. Thats when we first learned about breaking and entering with credit cards :p
