I can't believe it. Tomorrow is the 1st day of 11th grade for me already. I hate how school constantly starts in early August around. It always catches me offguard. Anyway, I have no idea how my junior year will go. I've heard from many of my friends that it's the hardest grade of all.
So, anyone else heading back to junior high, high school, or college anytime soon, or are you already there?

I'm heading back to my junior year of high school on the 25th, and I can't wait. Being an upperclassman is going to be great, and I'll be glad to see my friends again. I haven't heard anything about this grade being the hardest.

One of the biggest reasons I don't envy the south, is that school starts earlier for you guys. It's always September here in Wisconsin.
I'm starting (my new) school September 1st, actually. I've already gotten an amazing amount of notebooks and pencils and all that fun crap, so I'm good to go. I only have to sit back and wait for the first day.

I'm going to be starting school on wednesday, August 16th, so I only have two more full days of freedom. I'm starting out as a junior and I'm pretty sure this is going to be my most stressful and hardest year, but I'm kind of excited.

I go back to college next Monday, but as a teacher, not a student. Yes, we hate going back just as much as you do!

I always started school between the 4th-9th of September back when I was in public school. I'm entering my freshmen year of college at Montclair State University on September 6th. :)

Start next week I thought it didn't start until the 28th but I guess they decided to do it earlier this year. Man this summer went by way too fast, I've been having way too much fun at work.

August 24th starts my life as a high school senior at a catholic high school. I can't wait to see what privileges I would get. Then again, I'm waiting to see if one of our teachers come back for the school year. If that teacher doesn't come back, there probably wouldn't be a trip to Washington D.C. this year.

It's usually August here, but, due to construction of the High School and building another Elementary school, I don't go to school until...
...September 5th.

Yes I'm going back to school, 'cept not in the same university. It doesn't start on the date, but I have to be in the city where the university is by September 6th.
For the record though, I will be attending the University of Edinburgh in Scotland.

Yep, got back today. Really grateful this is my last year in this place too. By now I wish I would have just allowed myself to graduate two years ago, all this crap is holding me back.

Just started my freshmen year in high school this very Monday morning. So far, it doesn't live up to all the hype that I heard about in middle school. The incredibly long bus (45 minutes, slightly longer because of the driver's sluggish speed and missed turn at the end of the route) ride and generic A-Day teachers (my world geography teacher is an arrogant, NASCAR-obssessed 61-year old man... go figure [he made us take a pop quiz...about himself...]) don't give me much of an impression. And two hours of marching band under the intense boiling inferno that is the sun? EVERYDAY (except Wednesdays)?!? I think not.
I have yet to meet the B-Day teachers though. Perhaps they won't be NASCAR-obsessesed old men?

Classes at UVM start up on the 28th; so I'll likely head up towards the end of the week before. I'd initially tossed in some 'padding' to get myself readjusted to college/apartment life before classes started...but I think I'm just going to leave at the last possible moment now.

My Ranger-In-Training is going to a new school?
I start classes back on Monday.
(Why is it, in college, you have "classes", but in public school, you have "school"? Since I started at KSU, I've always said "My classes start soon...", but back in the public system, it was "School starts soon...")

Wow, some of you guys still in high school start early. My HS usually didn't begin anew until the last week of August/first week of September. We had longer winter breaks and got out of school altogether in mid- to late May, too.
As for me now, my classes start next Monday (Aug. 21). I'm only taking two this semester since I'll be working.

Classes at UVM start up on the 28th; so I'll likely head up towards the end of the week before.Cool, my brother goes to UVM. (Irrelevant info, yes, but I felt like mentioning it.)
The drawback to starting college in mid-September is that classes won't end until early June. Still, I'm much happier at SCAD than at my old college. SCAD! Sounds like a skin disease, I know...
This year will mark 6 years hiding myself away in college...the real world will NEVER find me! Bwahahaha...

Returning student after a hiatus. I've been working towards this degree for so long I don't know if I'll ever finish it, but I got burnt out on school in 2004 so I needed a year off to think things over about my degree. The plan is to finish it this year, but I always ended up cutting back in the past.
It's tough, because I'm not even THAT much of a fan of my major anymore, but I've spent so much money working towards this degree, and even had my parents help me fund some of it, that I almost feel obligated to finish it, even if I don't REALLY like it.

Well, I'm currently taking summer school for my university but it's going to end in a couple of weeks. The fall term won't start for me until September 21st.
Dang, I must have the latest start here unless somebody else around here goes to Cal Poly Pomona.
