I'm a sucker for What's New Scooby-Doo?, I'll more than likely keep it on the channel tomorrow until it starts repeating.

I've heard that it was like "Animaniacs"....music wise at least..

to wit: the "Carl Stalling-like eye blink-stuff.." and other things associated with Ternmite errace (well, THEY produced it..not the "Defunct" Hanna Barbera).." also I have heard that 1994's "Arabian Nights" was like the 1990s WB shows too....not to mention in both cases the sound effects, rather like WB than HB (well, WB,MGM,UPA and Disney SFX showed up as early as 1959 or so at HB and and slowly starting even more in 1964 sound effects from UPA show slike ":Magoo" became more closely associated with Hanna Barbera but it became an issuer with some purists when "Arabian": and "WN-SD" used the old 1940s-50s "Looney"/"Merrie" sound effects).

I've also heard that many "Cartoon Network" and "Nick" shows use these too,more than HB (whose effects Disney uses almost exclusively when they use classic "'toon" sounds..I almost never hear WB effects in THEIR work...:))

I really enjoyed this series. I watched the marathon on my plane yesterday, while I was drinking some ginger ale. ;)

I really like the music they play in this show... well, most of the time...

I finally have access to Boomerang. At the time I caught the marathon, they had the season three episodes that I missed that I wanted to see, including the one where they used "A Pup Named..." designs and the Shaggy and Scooby at camp one. I could see why the show ended at Season Three. The show became way too self-conscious at the end. While some self-awareness is good, too much just ruins the ability to suspend disbelief. The characters become too aware of their goofiness and Freddy became super-annoying.
