Episode 20: "Camp Fear"
Premieres 06/21/06 at 7PM
Encore Friday, 06/23/06 at 9:30PM and additional times next week
On the last Ben 10, Ben met a group of superheroes from space known as The Galactic Guardians. His ability to use the Omnimatrix granted him the ability to become an honorary member, but Ben was shocked by the number of rules he'd have to learn. When the villians ended up overpowering The Galactic Guardians, Ben decided to teach them "The Tennison way" (also known as anything goes). This new strategy allowed them to overcome the treachery thrown at them, and Ben become a member of The Galactic Guardians on Earth.
Tonight: When mysterious mushrooms start infesting a summer camp, it's up to Ben and company to find a way to stop them from spreading to the entire earth. None of his current forms seem to work, but luckily the omnitrex has a new form in waiting for Ben. What will it be, and how will it help them?
...another new form? Alright, go Ben ten--

The Ben 10 commercial still sais he can turn into 10 creatures even though Cannonbolt is in it. The title doesn't make sense anymore, but I don't care. The more creatures the better!

This episode looks like a combonation of some camp-themed Goosebumps book and the Japanese movie Matango: Attack of the Mushroom People.
I'm looking foward to it!

They share the same birthday? Since when?
Did I miss something?

It's probably some coincidence.

It's probably some coincidence.
Cheesiest 'coincidence' all season.
Tentacles...lol...
Anyway, is anyone else hungry for cream of mushroom soup?
This was a relatively cheesy episode, but it was still pretty good. 7/10

Cheesiest 'coincidence' all season.
Yeah. XD''
I'll give it a 6.5/10. It was pretty cheesy, funny, and there was an introduction of a new alien.

It's really odd that both Ben and Gwen share the same birthday. I knew that the new alien form would be plant based. I thought it was really funny when Gwen and the campers fought off those alien mushrooms and when Gwen saw the boat, instead of using of it to cross the lake, they use it to knock the mushrooms out of the way. Using the foot powder to kill the giant plant monster was really cheezy and yet funny at the same time.

Actually cousins having the same birthday isn't all that odd. My sister and my cousin are the same age and only a week apart. So i'm guessing Ben's mom and Qwen's mom where just doing the same thing my mom and my aunt were doing but got the timing closer.

Chessy and campy, and yet surprisingly hilarious. Great make-up for last week's droll episode.
Adding to the birthday idea... that is interesting that Ben and Gwen celebrate their birthdays together, and the fact that we got a pair of twins in Andy and Mandy in this episode too (who were also there to drive the point of arguing over everything or not) didn't help make the distinction any clearer. I don't think their birthdays are on the exact day, but rather close to each other. For another example... me and my younger brother use to celebrate our birthdays together because they're only two weeks apart. That also probably explains now, even as young adults, some people still mistake us for twins... but that's another story.
Does anyone other than me think Gwen should've slapped Ben at the beginning, just for the fun of it? At least, it would've been funny to me...
Mushroom men, living purple vines... creepy images indeed, for all the wrong reasons. :p
The fact that Ben's watch ran out of power not once, twice, but three times all played into the suspense... I really thought they were all goners. Or that this was a dream or some 'what if' episode like "Gwen 10" a couple weeks back.
And to top it all off... the episode ends with Grandpa Max eating... what else, a mushroom-topped pizza? Sick, twisted humor at its finest.
8 out of 10 for "Camp Fear." Now that was a great episode!

Though you could see the plot twists coming a mile away, it was a great episode. Plenty of good Gwen action. I love it when she swats things. :anime:
The new alien was a surprise. I had thought Cannonbolt was a one off thing because they were getting dry and needed a change. But if they add new ones from time to time it makes a little sense. I feel they are making it much more confusing bringing in new aliens. I would like to see them stick to the original ten. They did this mostly to use the telepathic link but it was so unnecessary as Gwen and the others had already figured out the spore pods were bad news. And I think Heatblast would have worked better than a new plant creature.

It'll be interesting when Kevin and Ben meet up next. Ben looks like he has unlimited potential at his fingertips with the power of the Omnitrix.
The next new episode takes place on July 6.

Ugh...another new alien? When I heard about Cannonbolt I was like "What? Can they really do that?" but eventually I accepted it and moved on. But now... this better not end up being like one hundred aliens on the watch. At this rate there'll be a new alien every like four episodes.

I have a theory that the omnitrix contains DNA for every species in the universe. Think about it. "Omni" means all so it makes sense to have more than 10 aliens stored. The 10 aliens we were first introduced to were presets or favorites.

I'd give it an 8/10, does anybody know what the new alien was called?
And in the one when Cannonbolt showed up, Grandpa Max said there could be thousands more. I sorta figured there would be another alien form...
