View Full Version : Brand New change to the "Coming Up Next" thing (The logos are CUSTOM ANIMATED!!!)

While watching Naruto tonight, I expected the Xiaolin Showdown logo in the "Coming Up Next" screen to just be Omi's head like it's usually been, but, instead, Omi was making a Kung Fu stance, and HIS MOUTH OPENED UP!

I like this change. Actually adds some uniqueness to the "Coming Up Next" bumpers.

yea, I noticed it when I was watching My Gym...and I saw the "coming up next" bumper for Fosters and instead of Bloo's head I see Mac's head and he smiles and moves his head around.

I probably won't get to see it at all until maybe July, because I'm going to be working every weeknight this week, and I will be away next week.

I saw the change. There really isn't much difference. Just, the pics that they show for a program move now. :p

It is a little different. Not much else to say about that. I still wonder why they've changed the "Now/Then" to "Next" on Monday-Thursday nights. They've showed "Coming Up Next" bumps in 2004 and 2005 (right before CN let the characters do the announcing) [I can't really describe the first ones from 2004, but the second ones showed "Coming" "Up" "Next" and then an icon of the show that's coming up (from the Now/Then) -- the clips from the show, and Nikki saying "Coming up next is Dragonball Z only on Cartoon Network.". After that, they would show the normal "Now/Then" bumps.

I remember those "coming" "up" "next" bumps. They'd zoom into like street signs that said those words on it. There was another version of the "next" bumps, and it looked sorta how the top 5 bumps look. I remember there was all this squiggly stuff and arrows pointing to the show. I distinctly rememebr seeing "plank" from EE&E. I wonder why they made different versions of the next bumps and hardly ever aired them.

Well it wasn't really an official Naruto logo, nor was it even an official... picture, if you will, of Naruto (it was like a fan drawing.) But I guess I understand that they wouldn't want to mess with 'foreign' properties.

Actually, the Naruto one was diffrent. The old one was less detailed, and just had Naruto staring. While the new one has Naruto smiling with his teeth showing and laughing.

I finally saw the Naruto one. It's not animated but it's official anime art instead of a quickie image like it usually is.

I've liked the logo images since the stylized Yumi they used for Code Lyoko (would liked to have gotten a hold of that:sad: ) The animated ones are cute. But I hate this new trend of covering a quartewr of the screen to tell me I'm watching Juniper Lee or whatever,,, duh I'm trying to watch it, scram :p

Compared to this, Disney Channel's scrolling text pop-up is nothing.
