All good, except for that creepy-ass ending.

That was... wow.
Perhaps the greatest Tom Goes episode ever... besides Rat's Off To Ya, of course.

Haha...Oh man. Hilarious all around. I was laughing so hard at the Mayor's scream when Tom unveiled 'Jeffy' to him; Likewise when Jeffy killed the boat full of people as well as the hyper-anime-esqu ending.

Liked the slow motion sequence with The Mayor throwing the spear and almost hitting Tom

Ohmuhgawd...I just loved that electrified, high-budget moment where the Mayor vanquished Jeffy XD And the ending was quite the "wtf" o.o I liked it. OH! And of course the Bob Odenkirk cameo. Does he actually work for the show? I looked over the "Bass Fest" talkback and saw someone drop his name as a writer...

4/5 I'd say.

Yeah, Bob Odenkirk is responsible for the show even getting on the air. All the guest stars are also his doing because he's friends with like everybody. David Cross, Patton Oswalt, Fred Willard, Jeff Goldblum, Tenacious D. Anyway, Bob writes for the show but there's little that really looks like his work. I'm a big Mr. Show fan and there's little Mr. Show influence around Tom. The reason I mentioned him as a writer in "Bass Fest" was because it definitely had more Mr. Show influence and less of the usual weird Tim and Eric humor. Which is probably why it was actually decent, in my opinion.

Hmm, I don't think I saw that one. Speaking of Mr. Show and Tenacious D., I caught the episode with "Jeepers Creepers" the other day but it was too boring to keep my attention on it...or...was it that I was doing something on the internet at the same time and I can't concentrate on the TV whenever I am? I normally do like Mr. Show when I actually see it. *shrug* Anyway, that's cool to hear about the relations between Bob and Tim & Eric.

That was a pretty good episode of the show in my opinion but there were better. "Coupon: The Movie" is my favorite sketch.

Ya know, last season I highly enjoyed TGTTM, but I didn't like it enough to grab it on DVD if it ever came out.

Season 2 is really starting to make me change my mind.

This episode was crazy. And going from what Bob Odenkirk has said about season 2, it's only going to get crazier.

What was the mayor supposed to be parodying at the end? I didn't get it.

Wow, that was.....funny. And NOT just because there was an anime-like ending with a pop culture reference to Highlander (although that was funny). The whole episode was funny (well, the snake guy introduction went on a little long).

While the ending and many parts throughout the episode were funny due to being more fast paced and less dialogue compared to the dialogue-based humor of S1 of TGTTM, as well as less of that style of "quirky-ness", or whatever, that last season's episodes had-

-but even the parts of the episode that did use that weird brand of humor were also funny, compared to about 1/2 of the first season that weren't funny, just weird for weirdness's sake, which doesn't automatically equal funny. But they made it work for this episode.

This is the first episode of the new season that I've seen. If this isn't a fluke and that last few episodes were like this (Were they?) and/or the next few episodes are like this, then I would hazzard to say that they finally found their groove.

Even without the anime-like battles, nerdy but fun pop culture references, and weird endings...but more of those are also good too :p

I didn't think they could do it so I wasn't surprised when this episode was just plain bad like most TGTTM episodes. I still can't figure out what they did differently last time around but this episode was like the rest. Just boring and unfunny.

Plus, no Jeffy The Garden Hose? *Sigh*. >_>

As always your comments are interesting and appreciated and not at all repetitive, but this is the third response you've made on TGGTM THIS WEEK. Are you just bored? What's your deal? Why remind the rest of the board how boring and unfunny you find TGGTM every week?

It's his fourth. :D 1st, (http://forums.toonzone.net/showpost.php?p=2196511&postcount=7) 2nd, (http://forums.toonzone.net/showpost.php?p=2197374&postcount=10) 3rd, (http://forums.toonzone.net/showpost.php?p=2198265&postcount=14) and 4th. (http://forums.toonzone.net/showpost.php?p=2198417&postcount=22) I think he secretly likes the show.

Anyways.. This was the best episode of Tom yet. The Mayor screaming, then the Mayor forgetting he had Tom build Jeffy, then the Mayor 'killing' Jeffy.. All comedy gold!

You're pathetic. Do you NEED something to hate and whine about, is that why you continue to watch? Noone cares about your opinion. We know how you feel about TGTTM. You are a loser who needs to look for something to do and not look for something to complain about.

It's sad that you dont even realize how pathetic you look.

Slowly but surely, Tom is turning from pure unfunny to something casual fans can dig into. They just need to cut down the Married News Team...ahem...antics. It's not funny so much as it is likely to offend. The other stuff, at least, can be funny, and in the case of the ending, is funny.

hey just need to cut down the Married News Team...ahem...antics.Actually I would agree. Those bits always seemed forced and one-note to me and they seem to be doing more of it.

There's a billboard of them in Atlanta off of Williams Street (the street).

People can love a gimmick, but that doesn't stop it from being bad. In this case, Tim and Eric are probably nuts about Married News, but it still doesn't keep it from being a one-note joke.

Live action doesn't necessarily have to be with the Married News Team.

Well I suppose in the universe in which Jefferton is in, they're simply the news team. So to change them at this point would likely be...well...odd in this strange universe the show's created.

I think they're used a little too much, and god are they scary. However, I always seem to nervously laugh whenever a segment in which they're in airs...so...I'm not sure what to think overall.

I actually forgot my point, so I'll just echo the call for a picture of the billboard.

Tim and Eric rely too much on kitsch and craaaaazy faces and voices, and the Married News Team is the best example of taking that to the extreme.

Still, Mayor with the sword of justice shows they can do comedy right.
