Wow....... a Talkback with no one even talking about the episode (instead just talking about the Adult Swim Fix. By the Way Trogdor, the ASFix for new episodes (you know Eureka Seven, this show, Tom Goes To The Mayor, etc) is every Friday Night starting at 6PM till 6AM the following Saturday). Well since I saw it, I guess I'll talk about it.

So basically instead of anything about the Minorteam (besides a Wang cameo) we get to see a Goodfellas inspired backstory for how the White Shadow was formed, from the Coporate Ladder's POV. Pretty decent I suppose. I liked the Clown Mafia man (notably voiced by Carlos Alaquarazi) and Ladder selling out the buisness. At the very least this was a "different" episode of a still very mediocre at best show.

I liked the clown guy waving the gun around but otherwise a terrible episode. But I hate the Corporate Ladder. God, I wish they would just phase out all the villains and Minoriteam and call it "The White Shadow Show". He's the only redeemable thing about it.

Well, the Fix sounds interesting but I think I'll just wait until Sunday...unless I remember :p I caught the episode, and I must say that I didn't understand most of it as I assumed it was all a big reference to the movie Goodfellas, which I've never seen and I know nothing about. Twas interesting, I guess. I don't really dislike this show, but it's not one of the best.

The episode fell flat.

I can see why no one is commenting on it, no one can be bothered.

Minoriteam just doesn't inpire a love/hate reaction to spurn debate. At most it's a like/ignore reaction.

Of all the AS shows that have premeired over the past year, I'd say this is the one that almost certainly won't be renewed.

You should go see it. It's an amazing movie. One of my favorites. This wasn't anything like it really, they just named it that for the mob reference probably.

--"I always wanted to be a minion" and narration bit
-The mime in trunk/ ambush at the end.
-The "you saying I'm a clown?" line of course (which you knew was coming but was still about the only funny part)
-The introduction of the other minions.
-The witness protection thing.

They splattered around plenty of references to Goodfellas. The problems were that it was inconsistant, the gag's been done to death, none of it was done well and ultimately they ended it very badly and incongruously to the original movie.

Yeah, I hadn't thought about those things except the few plot elements but it didn't really resemble the movie in a significant way. It was mostly just another bad episode of Minoriteam.
