Not sure if this thread's already been made, but from those who have seen/remember seeing the WHAT A CARTOON/WORLD PREMIER TOONS Series, which cartoons have been your faves?

Here's my personal best ones, some that should have earned themselves a series:

- O. Ratz with Dave D. Fly in: "Rat in a Hot Tin Can"
- Buy One, Get One Free
- Sledgehammer O'Possum in: "What's Goin' On Back There"
- Pfish and Chip in: "Blammo the Clown"
- The Fat Cats in: "Dry Dry Drips"
- Strange Things
- Wind-Up Wolf
- Jungle Boy in: "Mr. Monkeyman"
- Godfrey and Zeek in: "Lost Control"
- Pizza Boy in: "No Tip"

Dang, I haven't seen this show for a long time. The only one I can remember is a little of the Jof cartoon, mainly because I was a big fan of it later when trying to remember the name, plus I got tons of variants of a robot (Robot Arena 2) I named after the short, Most are "Cunner Jof" but theres so many varations I can't even remember.

Larry and Steve.

Both of the PPG shorts of course.

and the Dexter short.

What was the Jonnhy Bravo short about again? Don't remember what it was about, but I do remember liking it.

It was the pilot of the show (a preview of it played in the Space Ghost Coast to Coast "Tune In" special of 1995) about Johnny trying to catch a gorilla who escaped from the zoo to impress some zooligst girl who worked there. The problem was the gorilla was a lot smarter then Johnny was (which you know isn't hard).

Of the ones not mentioned yet I also liked the original Cow and Chicken and Courage the Cowardly dog "Pilots" that aired on WAC.

Of the WAC cartoons that I've seen, my favorite has to be the first WAC pilot for the Powerpuff Girls.

When I saw ads for the Powerpuff Girls WAC, I first thought that is wasn't going to be that great. However, when I actually watched the cartoon, it ended up being way funnier than I thought it would be (especially the montage of Bubbles beating the crap out of Fuzzy after he turned one his pigtails into "meat hair").

Without a doubt, my favorite WAC short is "The Chicken From Outer Space", the "Courage" pilot. Seeing for the first time is still stitched into my brain, it was like nothing I'd ever seen before in a cartoon. There was this uncompresensible eerieness to it, and the colors, and the design, and... just everything blew me away. And made me sleep with the light on for about a week.

Yea, unfortiunally the only legal release of that short on VHS or DVD that I can think of is one of the earlier Scooby-Doo tapes as it was a bonus at the end of the tape. I think before the Scooby movie theres also an early still in devolepment Ed, Edd, and Eddy as its noticable because their colors are more whacked out and Eddy runs with his tongue sticking way out, a short glimpse of that can be seen in the E,E,AE pilot, I also think his tongue was bright-blue aswell.

Larry and Steve, the Dexter one, those stand out often as does Courage (chickens were never evil until now), and the one most probably don't remember, but I seriously liked Yoink! of the Yukon. Somehow, that weasel-ish thing really appealed to me as a child.

I remember a short involving the larger of the main 2 characters entering a hotdog eating contest-like event, I don't know why, but that is the only one I remember.
It may have been WAC/WPT/or the Nick equivalent

The Powerpuff Girls pilot (surprise!)

The Johnny Bravo pilot was also enjoyable.

I've only seen "Buy One, Get One Free" and "Tales of Worm Paranoia" through YouTube, but they still impressed me nonetheless.

Buy One, Get One Free always cracks me up, because Fix the cat sounds like an old uncle of mine. Plus it was where quite a few people from the Dexter/Powerpuff teams got their start. Though it was supposedly a take on the 1960's era of cartoons, it did get a tad bizzare at times.

I'm really surprised nobody mentioned "Help!" yet. It's about a cat who pricks its finger and goes to a maze of a hospital to fix it. The full animation on the short was fantastic looking, the art style was eye-catching (if a bit European), and many of the sight gags were funny, like stoplights in a hallway and giving the cat an adult magazine to distract him.

Others I liked: -Buy One, Get One Free: Uses the same art style and animation as Ren & Stimpy, which I liked.
-Tales of Worm Paranoia: Probably the best use of Glen Kennedy's talents (of Kennedy Cartoons fame), the bouncy and stretchy animation in this one is actually put to good use, and it's a very weird short.
-Kitchen Kassanova: I mainly like this one for the squiggly, jagged-line art style. A guy has to make dinner for his date before she arrives but things go wrong in the kitchen. Some of the jokes work.
-Pfish and Chip in Short Fuse: The frantic pace, spastic animation, and goofy characters give this the feel of a classic '40s WB short.
-Larry and Steve: Set the tone for what would become Family Guy a few years later. "AAAAHHH!....Wait a minute, isn't that a little contrived?"
-The Chicken From Outer Space: Like Sand Demoness said, the atmosphere and mood in this one was amazing. It's not particularly scary, but the bizarre art style and horror movie-style pacing really sucks you into the story.
