Since there wasn't an "Anything Else" Thread I decided to make a seperate thread for something that was stated in the cards: FLCL is returning to Adult Swim August 5th and is playing all of it's episodes back to back. That was something I thought should of gotten a mention at least.

As many times as I've seen this thing, I always look forward to watching it when they rerun it. Tradition, I guess.

Awesome! No matter how many times they play this show, it never gets old to me.

Dear Adult Swim,
You just got me interested in watching the entire Saturday line-up for once.
Bravo. See ya in August.

I own the FLCL dvd's, but this is the perfect way to introduce others to it.
Still my all-time favorite anime. Actually, one of my favorite amimated shows of any genre.

People are still watching this show after AS has run it, like, twelve times? Geez, I can just buy the DVDs and watch the entire OVA in three hours.

I'm just wondering, How can people keep liking it if Adult Swim keeps playing it Ad-Nasuem.

I will most defginately be tuning in for this "perfect colection" airing of FLCL. I always seem to notice something new every airing, so it's great for me. Plus, I just love the soundtrack by the Pillows.

How about Synch-Point lowers their insane prices, and then I'll think about it.

There WAS a boxset planned at one time, but that fell through.

No, you fail, because Family Guy has new episodes. Futurama should just die already, though.

I like Futurama.
I'm psyched about this marathon though, I usually only watch Saturdays 11:30-12:30 + 1:00-2:00 (last Saturday was 11:30-2:00 because of Korgoth :p)
I haven't watched [as] Saturdays all the way through since YYH was on, back in 2002, so this is good news for sure! :D

I object. FMA, however, can exit stage right into a pit of rabid alligators.
I will never stop loving FLCL, and its airing was a defining moment in Adult Swim history as far as I'm concerned so I'm pretty elated to see it returning. I think it and Bebop are the only two shows Williams Street will never stop renewing the contracts for.

No, you fail, because Family Guy has new episodes. Futurama should just die already, though.I hear you. I mean, FLCL's alright I guess. It's only like 6 episodes though and there's hardly any action but whatever. I mean, I don't really want to bother with that--what's the point?
I love FMA though. They really know how to stretch a story out over time. If FLCL could do that--I don't know, I could see it being 26 episodes easily--It'd probably be a pretty good show.
As for Family Guy, man, how could you get sick of the show? It's only on twice a night, that's really not enough. They should just get rid of Futurama who is dragging the block down (how many times do I have to see that episode with the Robot's hands honestly??) and add a 3rd (or 4th?) Family Guy episode. I mean, it's got great new episodes coming in every week, better than like all that other crap on Adultswim.

They will once Gainax lowers theirs. ;)
Anyway, the perfect collection airing is cute. I'll have to make note to stay away from the TV that evening because even though I do own it, I tend to drop anything else I'm doing and just watch FLCL when I ever stumble on to it on AS.

You mean that Christine Lee idiot who thought she was cool by not showing any anime and making fun of anime fans when anime doesn't even air on Sunday nights anyway? You know, the moron who thinks Tom Goes to the Mayor is the greatest show ever?
And why is she still making schedules? That contest was supposed to be a one-time thing only. Oh well, at least she's not running Saturday nights. Knowing her, she'd eliminate all the anime in favor of Sealab or some other crap like that.

Yeah, right. If you love Crapurama so much, buy the DVDs. There's still people who haven't seen FMA yet.

Not everyone can actually FIND the DVDs. I know I've had trouble for a long time in doing so. I had to watch the series through YouTube........and then some SOB went and got them all pulled down. Now whenever you search for FLCL, it's all AMVs. (That show is DAMN good for AMV fodder I'm guessing)
This will actually please me greatly now. I'm all for it.:D

You can buy the DVD's on amazon. WS held another have it you'r way contest so It's not cristine lee doing it this time it's some body else and despite how much I disliked cristine's constant anime bashing I did enjoy the venture brothers marathon she held.

And I thought Christine Lee's schedule lacked variety. I mean, jeez, the same show for 3 hours. Ugh...I really never saw what was so good about FLCL. I'm actually surprised that it does so well in the ratings. I mean, I don't think I've ever met anyone who likes the show in real life. And yes, I have met a few people who like some of the anime.
Hopefully at least this person will make better cards. Christine Lee's cards were so horrible that people at William's Street got yelled at. Jeez, you'd think if she won a chance to program Adult Swim she'd maybe...you know, talk about Adult Swim? I mean, who the hell cares about her crappy vacation slides. I mean, does anyone actually like looking at vacation slides? That's what aunts do to torture their neices and nephews.

August 5th...WHYYYY?! Why can't they just show it BEFORE I go back to school? D: Actually...come to think of it I may start in mid-to-late August... Anyway, it seems awfully late all the same. I really didn't get this show the first time through but my intellectual older half-brother (though his oppinions are often opposite my own) really liked it and explained that you must watch it multiple times through to really get it and enjoy it. He downloaded all five episodes like...years ago...or whenever they had aired on AS. But I don't want to go all the way to his house (not far, but still a hastle) to watch them on his computer. My TV in the comfort of my own home would be a lot more enjoyable. I look forward to it...assuming I can watch it :)

Didn't this idea come up in the thread way back about how we'd handle the competition if we won it? Sounds like it could have. Even then, it's better than some of the other **** that was getting spit out. Take for instance, I would have played, that's right, you guessed it, that same episode of Blue Gender back to back. By now we all know which one. And I don't know about y'all, but like a couple years ago, I would have laughed my ass off.
So I guess what I'm saying, is it could be worse. I don't personally consider FLCL a loss anyway.
You mean that Christine Lee idiot who thought she was cool by not showing any anime and making fun of anime fans when anime doesn't even air on Sunday nights anyway? You know, the moron who thinks Tom Goes to the Mayor is the greatest show ever?

What are you talking about? It's an annual contest, with a different winner each year, hence why they ran the contest a month or so ago. This year the winner decided to run a marathon of FLCL. Next year will be something different. Christine Lee doesn't work for Williams Street or anything, neither does this year's winner.

That's not an SOB. That's someone who obeys the law (uploading episodes to YouTube or any website is illegal).

Oh nearly everything that you can do on the internet is a crime nowadays. Furthermore, other people do it with other shows and they get off scot free. There are worse crimes than "copywrite infringement".
