Ok, I update firefox, and suddenly I get...

"Firefox was blocked from sending data to the local zone{<IP address>}."

...and I have every possible way for firefox to access the internet open.  ZoneAlarm's reminding me every minute now. How do I fix this? I'm REALLY starting to get pissed.

I'm REALLY starting to get pissed.Go into Zone Alarm Settings where it controlls the programs, in the list of programs that access the internet, find Firefox and select permit all. That way Zone Alarm will not interfere with your browser to access the internet.

Angry at the moment, sorry. I already put every single internet access thing on accept in the program control for firefox. It still blocks it. If it helps, I'm using ZoneAlarm Security Suite...

It takes a lot of your CPU and memmory.

Try the following:

-Shut down firefox.
-Go into ZoneAlarm's Program Control
-Find the Firefox.exe entry there, right click that entry, and select "remove".

Now try using firefox.

If the above doesn't work, your database might be corrupt. Try this:

...Reset the database this way; you will lose your customizations and will need to reconfigure Zone Alarm.

1. Boot your computer into the Safe Mode. {Instructions if needed}
2. Navigate to the c:\windows\internet logs folder.
3. Delete the backup.rdb and iamdb.rdb files in the folder.
4.Reboot into the normal mode.
...

It's not exactly the same problem, but it is very similar. Give it a shot.

When you do the above, you will have to customize Zonealarm again. As for the program control entries/rules, they will be recreated automatically (with the help of your input) as you select various files/programs which need access to the Internet or to other files.

Later.

...did someone change my topic title???

Yes, because cursing in topic titles isn't allowed here. Usually users are warned for it.

I changed your topic title. As far as cursing goes, the rule of thumb is that if it you hear it on The Simpsons, it's okay here. That doesn't mean you are allowed to use f-bombs or worse. We ask that users keep their language within a PG-rating on the boards.
