I had a problem with screenburn in my last television. My kids would leave the video games paused and eventually the words were imbedded in our television screen. Warranties did not cover this problem even though they knew it existed. So, I researched and researched and found a solution, DLP, http://www.dlp.com/ (http://www.dlp.com/) . Not everybody has heard of it, so I thought I would pass the knowledge along for any of you having the same problems.

What was your TV? CRT, Tube, LCD, Plasma, Laser Projection, Rear Projection?
I heard that it used to be a broblem with old Plasmas, but the newer models don't get affected by it. The problems are usualy cause by network logos in the corner of the tv, if you watcn a certain cnannel too often.

I don't know why you think it's a huge issue when every single video game instruction manual says screen burn-in will happen if you do what you did.

A better parent would know to tell their kids this :p

Anyways, who the heck leaves a game on pause for hours on end? That's what the save feature is for.

The simple solution is to turn the screen off while the game is paused.
