What's the difference between the regular edition and the 5 star edition besides the second disc? If they are the same, would any of you HONESTLY recommend me paying $10 more for the second disc?

The "regular edition" is non anamorphic and poor quality all around (also I believe its out of print). The 5 Star is considered a referrence dvd and looks and sounds amazing all around.
That answer your question?

If you can, get the "5 Star" version. It's fantastic.

Actually, now I'm even more confused. There is a regular edition out there that is anamorphic (at least it says so on the packaging) and seems to list everything that the 1st disc of the 5 star edition has, including sound, commentary tracks, etc. And no, it's definitely not a bootleg.
If there is some doubt though, I might as well shell for the 5 star collection. Although it would be nice if someone could really verify for sure.

Fox has been doing this with some of their other titles (The Abyss, Speed, ID4, etc.) lately. However, the first dvd of Die Hard (the one that came out back in 1999 and lacking DTS) is the non-anamorphic one and should be avoided.

If there's a one-disc version listing the commentary track, I'm sure it's just the first disc from the special edition.
