Ever since DVD seasons started appearing on DVD way back when, Power Ranger fans have wanted to collect their favorite show as well. Other than VCDs in select countries, we still wait. But good news everyone...

Amazon.de (Germany) now has all eleven volumes of PRNS listed for DVD. The first eight are currently available for 6.99 Euros (each), while the final three will be packaged as a box set for 14.99 Euros as of May 22, 2006. That's about 71 Euros (plus shipping) for the whole season/series, which is roughly $90 in U.S. dollars.

Before anyone points out that these are not English DVDs, note that Amazon.de lists "Englisch (Stereo)" as a secondary audio track. The DVDs are not region 1 and are in PAL format though.

Here's a link for the final set, there all easy to find with a search though: http://www.amazon.de/exec/obidos/ASIN/B000EUMLN0/028-2837347-3934964

I'd normally be the first to sign up for these, but at $90 plus shipping, I'd rather wait to make sure other series than NS will also be available (given that NS is my least favorite season - sans WF, which I haven't seen yet).

Looks like SPD is going to start coming the following week.

Why are they picking the worst PR series to bring out first?

Why are they picking the worst PR series to bring out first?German DVDs of PR actually started with TF and a few WF came out as well, but NS was the first to include English audio and the be complete with every episode. They've skipped DT because it took them this long to finish off NS.

But they have MMPR, Zeo, Turbo, and Space.

But they have MMPR, Zeo, Turbo, and Space.Right, but just as every other region does, these DVDs are being marketed at little kids with "I want that show because it was on TV" mentalities. Long term fans would be more interested in the early years, but since the current season always receives the most advertising, young kids are always most excited about that one.

However, the LR DVD was released back in 2002 (with no English track), so they're not going back to do older series.
