Last week on RAW, WWE Champion John Cena let his guard down long enough for Triple H to connect with a Pedigree. How will The Champ — and the crowd — respond when RAW emanates from Milwaukee? And fresh off the announcement of Backlash's Triple Threat Main Event, what will Triple H, John Cena and Edge do to ensure they have the advantage heading into the WWE Championship Match?

Shawn Michaels learned last week that he’d be teaming with God to face the McMahons at Backlash. Has a battered Mr. McMahon lost his mind? And what will “The Showstopper” do now? Tune in to RAW (9/8 CT; USA Network) to find out.

RAW has new World Tag Team Champions: The Spirit Squad. In a major upset, Kenny and Mikey defeated Kane & Big Show. The former champs will get a rematch tonight on RAW. Can lightning strike twice for the Spirit Squad?

“The Nature Boy” was ambushed last week by two unknown commodities: newcomers Armando Alejando Estrada and the vicious Umaga. What will happen this week?

That was another great opening segment. All 3 were great with Edge being the best. This is also another insistence where the crowd has a right to hate all 3 men. Even Jesus based on the you tapped out chants.

I guess Foley will be the RAW GM. That is they didn;t forget about it, which I doubt.

RVD was just as bad. RVD still can't cut a promo at the leavel oof his One Night Stand promo and that's a negative.

And why is Steve Romero on RAW? I wonder if something happened to Da Grish.

I admit it. I bowed down to Trips when he came out. I love his new promo music.

The opening promo was awesome. I really wish Cena would go heel but heck, I like this new not suck up character of his. Trips was amazing as usual and Edge had less screw ups this time. I loved Trips 'booby prize' line.

Kane in a movie? A horror movie? Wow. It looks a bit freaky. I wonder when Cena's movie is coming out.

I laughed when Shelton kept saying 'WHC'. Does he want to jump to SD! or something :D?

Dammit people. Cheer for the Spirit Squad! They own you!

Okay, WTF was that? What happened on May 19th? Did Kane get burned? Did Undertaker steal Kane lunch money? WAS KATIE VICK BORN ON THIS DAY?!

What a great segment. I liked Vince's commandments, the wide camera shots ala Mass, and Vince's manic last speech.

As far as Carlito and Chris Masters, right now I feel that neither of them is the face. Both are pretty much being heels right now, I just side with Carlito because he's a lot cooler and more entertaining than Chris Masters will ever hope to be. :D

I'm finally glad Kane is a heel again. its about damn time too. Hopefully this culminates in a match against Taker in next year's Mania.

I also hope there's a double turn with Mickie and Trish. Mickie got a lot of face heat tonight.

I really hate the STFU. Crowd really doesn't have a favorite in the triple threat match. That's what'll hurt the match.

i always love it when we the fans can magically see into the minds of superstars are hear/see they're thoughts...but then i guess if we can accept a boogeyman, evil clowns, wrestling voodoo priests and supers strength zombies what the hey, i'm on-board...odds are yes, this does mean kane will go back to the mask. and that will probably be the best place for him once critics get a hold of his new horror movie.

i take it since the tag team scene on raw is non-existant, we'll see the spirit squad as the tag team champs for a long time coming...i only wonder how many times exactly we'll have to sit through them fighting big vis and val.

i really loved trish's mickie tribute outfit.:nurse: a shame it's prob the only time we'll see it once trish goes back to pants....this fued contines to stay strong, interesting and is keeping the women's division on life support.

i'm really liking this armondo manager character...a nice throwback to the old colorful manager days of slick, blassie, the brain etc...after bengamin's 'color commentary' tonight i think he's proved again he needs a guy like this backing him up on the mic.

usually i hate triple threats, since they would always just be champ and contendor with the big show thrown in...but as far as smackdown's wm main event and raw's backlash one i think they've been building these great..and anythings got to be better than the wm raw main event....i wouldn't let go of a good thing with this 'cene hate' angle and i don't think vince will just yet either so i expect the champ to still be here after backlash.

Kane goes crazy, and costs himself & Big Show the tag titles. Was that Goldust doing the voice-over backstage? They're doing an angle to tie into "See No Evil", but that could be counter-productive, IMPO.

I believe Steve Romero's been traded over to Raw from Smackdown, and we may get Todd Grisham on Velocity this weekend. It's either that or Toddler's on vacay and Steve was asked to fill in. No mention on WWE.com about the switch. Yet.

Joey came up with more analogies for Big Show than humanly possible. Comparing Show's head to a bowling ball, his fist to a shot put, and of course, those open hand slaps being akin to a skillet. LOL! Let's face it. Coach thinks he's hip and funny, but he got owned by Joey AND the King tonight.

Mickie James thinks she's Trish Stratus. Trish decides two can play that game and dresses up as Mickie. Oh, this is fun. You can tell Trish is wearing a wig, though.

Maria gets the first shot at the women's title? Where was Victoria? Candi Michelle's Playboy cover is off the rack, so look for her to be depushed.

JR returns next week to interview Chavo. I get it. JR gets to do "special projects". Remember when he did those interviews with Foley & Goldust back in the day? This will rule.

Next week, I think we'll see Cena/Edge vs. HHH. The merry-go-round takes one more spin before Backlash.

I can't see how Chumplito can be a face after tonight. His match with Masters will be your bathroom break bout for sure.:D

RVD-Benjamin at Backlash. Can you say, RVD as IC champ (again)? Yep.

Meltzer seems to think Cena will face RVD at One Night Stand, according to what's been quoted here. That means King Ego won't get the belt until Summerslam, as I'd suspected might be a possibility.

Vince & Shane at church. You can tell Shane's getting tired of playing this act out. He knows his dad's insane, but he's playing along as long as he can. What I can see is Shane walking out on pops at Backlash, leaving Crazy Vinnie to eat some sweet chin music again. We should finally get a Raw GM come May 1. We can't wait much longer than that.:yawn:

I loved the opening segment. There were so many great lines (although none came from Edge) it would be tough to try to post or quote them all. I loved Triple H informing Edge that he beat Foley six years ago. :D Overall, it was good stuff. Cena’s overall crowd reaction isn’t being ignored, they are just taking a different direction and the Champ himself addressed it pretty well.

Triple H did not look very pleased having his exit interrupted by Conway. The Con Man should have seen that coming. Somehow, I don’t think a clean start would have done anything for the former French sympathizer.

I liked how RVD viewed Benjamin challenging for his title shot as an insult and refused to do it. The face doesn’t always have to be a moron to have pride.

Well Mickie definitely thinks she’s Trish and with that close-up of Maria, I think I’m in love. :p

Great to see Big Vis shove Rob down to the floor. Now that seems to be the Con Way.

Wow, See No Evil is coming out near the start of the summer movie season? Lion’s Gate and WWE must think rather highly of it. I suppose it could be a weak week too, but we’ll see what happens.

I didn’t like Kane’s inner monologue. Wrestling is portrayed as a real enough world that we shouldn’t be hearing people’s thought or seeing things through their eyes (i.e. Randy seeing “Cowboy” Bob’s face covered in blood). The TV/soap writers WWE hires need to realize they don’t or at least shouldn’t have that available to them. Interesting how whatever this is is the same date the movie is being released.

Poor Johnny’s chest must have just been raw!! Big Show slapped the kid more times than I can ever remember seeing. Well whatever is in Kane’s head clearly drove him a little crazy to lose his chance at the Tag Team Championship and chokeslam his partner!

Vince and Shane at church was a bit much, but fit very much within the vein of this feud and how it has played out so far. Vince doing the Triple H spit with holy water was so ludicrous I couldn’t help but laugh. By the time we got to Vince’s commandments, things had gone on too long. I liked at the end when Shane slowly backed away from Vince when he dared the Lord Almighty to strike him down. :p

I don’t know that we needed Umaga to bring the Asiatic Spike out of retirement. :shrug: The crowd shouldn’t erupt into boos when you apply your finisher when they otherwise don’t care about you one way or the other.

“How do you like them apples?!” Now that was cool. This feud between Carlito and Masters is starting to look like heel vs. heel and I think that is the way to go. I just don’t buy either of these guys as faces.

I liked the main event again this week, but I hope we don’t see Cena/Edge vs. H3 next week. That would just be too much. Cena made the right move after Triple H pulled Edge into the Pedigree, just give HHH the FU. :p

i see it going towards a battle of wm udefeated steaks next year with taker vs. edge...if they actually do keep edge in the championship/main event picture, it should go this way-

taker should win the championship around royal rumble time, with edge switching brands and boasting about his streak and wanting a title shot, leading to match with taker at wm in the main event with edge finally being in the main event and the man that beats taker, winning the gold in the process. since it looks like taker will finally lose next year, i think it should not only be the main event, but a championship match and with someone he's never really had a fued with...although i think taker will most likley want it to be with kurt angle again. which itself wouldn't be bad either, since that would be a 5 star match again.
