Alright, the current FAQ needs some work. I know this. You know this, so let's fix it.

What I am looking for are people who can help fill in blanks for new series that have premiered since the last update, important moments/events, suggestions, etc. I plan on attacking this project in the next week or so, and I want to have folks on board to help complete the mission.

Here's what you should be able to provide, if interested:

-Objectivity, no fanboy editorializing or ballwashing. Just the facts.

-Good writing skills. We don't need essays, just brief capsules that inform the reader.

-Questions! I have a list of questions that pop up from time to time that forum veterans can answer in their sleep, but for new members those questions aren't so obvious. What are your commonly asked questions?

Post here to let me know what you might be interested in contributing, or your FAQ questions/suggestions.

FRIDAY NIGHT FIX:
Adult Swim's Friday Night Fix is a new option provided to fans of Adult Swim's programming. Users with high speed internet can log on to the website and watch archived episodes of their favorite shows 24/7, and new episodes of some on Friday nights. This is indeed how many see the episodes before their broadcast premieres on Sunday nights, and no, it does not affect the Sunday night premieres.

You can count me in, although I'm certain there are others who can do the job much better than I can. I've been taking notes on my pooter at home every time AS changed recently. I've been trying to make a comprehensive of AS from the beginning, but I bogged in early '03, when they went to weeknights. It didn't help that the schedules in the archives started going to crap around the same time. Well, like I said, I'm here if you need me.

Neon Genesis Evangelion - A highly controversial series that debuted in Japan in 1995. Shinji Ikari is drawn against his will into an appocalyptic war fought by the secret UN organization NERV against mysterious aliens known as Angels. Long believed to be unairable due to its heavy religious imagery and graphic violence, the show finally surfaced (with only minor dialogue trims) on AS in 2005.

If you could, PM me your notes. I can take a look at them and we can sort though, revise as needed, etc.

Also thanks guys for the Adult Swim Fix, and Eva capsules. Keep it coming.

Shows Probably Gone For Good, Due To Contracts Ending And/Or Poor Ratings

"Reign"
"Kikaider"
"Kikaider OVA"
"Blue Gender"
"Witch Hunter Robin"
"Wolf's Rain"

Shows That Have Been Either Renewed And/Or Extended, Or Started With Unusually Long Contracts, Or Whose Production Was Partially Financed By William Streets

"Cowboy Bebop"
"Trigun"
"Big O" Seasons 1 + 2 (It was one show with two seasons, NOT two separate series.)
"Lupin The Third"
"FLCL"

Q. What was with the end of "Fullmetal Alchemist"?

A. Watch the upcoming movie, "Fullmetal Alchemist: Emperor Of Shambala", which will be released by Funimation on October 3, 2006. Oct. 3 happens to be an important date in the series, so it was probably intentional on Funimation's part.

Great suggestions. Thanks. Let's break up the quoted entry though. As it reads now it is a bit convoluted. I think this works:

Shows That Have Had Their Contracts Renewed, Or Extended.

"Cowboy Bebop"
"Trigun"
"Big O" Seasons 1 + 2 (It was one show with two seasons, NOT two separate series.)
"Lupin The Third"
"FLCL"

We covered Big O in the glossary, so we don't need to restate that WS coproduced it. What say you?

Edit: I tried to PM you but your inbox is full. :(

It might be worth noting that Case Closed/Detective Cohan isn't likely to see new episodes on AS, since I know this topic has come up from time to time.

I also noticed that ADV does not have an entry in the AS Glossary, so...

ADV Films - Anime distributor and production company that has only recently had its properties air on Adult Swim, "Neon Genesis Evangelion" and "Super Milk-chan".

I thought it was called Conqueror of Shamballa?

For how long did the constant airing of "Boo Boo Runs Wild" lasted? That's another thing that can be added.

It is...I didn't even notice that mistake.
