I'm trying to re-install McAfee and it's asking for my email server (incoming and outgoing). According to SBCGlobal they are POP3 and SMTP, respectively. When I put those in, though, and run the test it says that it can't connect to POP3.
I had to go to the help section on using SBCGlobal with Outlook to find anything about servers, so my question is this. Are the servers that McAfee is asking for not the same as those that you'd use for Outlook or is my McAfee and/or SBCGlobal just screwed up?

POP3 isn't so much a server as a system some email sites use to exchange between eachother so multiple addresses can be seen at one page (I think). I don't believe they're what Mcafee is looking for. I would guess the server would be for an offsite email like Yahoo, Gmail and the like. It may want the stuff of your address after @. Still, it's just a guess. I delt once trying to make POP3 work when I first thought I'd use outlook and Yahoo doesn't/didn't support POP3 and I found it wasn't needed to make anything work other than email transfers.

Thanks, but the help page provided none and I've tried what you suggested, Kagetsu. I did realize that what I was doing was just something for McAfee to monitor my email which I don't need, so I skipped it.
