During the post-warner Atari 7800 days, we've seen a hefty mix of games. Some fun and colorful, some crap. But then you came across a game in your local electronics store that was so mind-boggling, so stupid, and yet...so alluring that you just HAD to get your hands on it and try to see what it's all about. There was a game like that my friends...a golf game mind you. But not any run-of-the-mill golf game. No, THIS golf game is a golf game for the books. I proudly present to you:
NINJA GOLF

Yes...there was a golf game that had you take the role as a ninja and play your way across nine holes all the while beating up ninjas, frogs, sharks, bird eggs, and ground creatures with your kicks and shurikens.

The game took place on a golf course (naturally!) and you had your usual greens, roughs, bunkers, and water hazards (complete with Jaws theme when you enter the water :D ).

Every time you swung your ball, you have to fight your way across the terrain in order to get to it just so you can take another swing until you get the ball into the hole then go on to the next course. :)
Specials you can pick up include health potions to restore your health, invincible shields to protect yourself from other enemies and 1-ups for extra lives. ;)
Once you reach the green, there is a fire-breathing asian dragon that you must chuck shurikens at and defeat before you can sink the ball into the hole. After that, the game gets harder with each new course you get to.

So yeah, a pretty cheesy game but pretty fun too! It's worth your while to play it should you get the chance. ;)
