Chuck Norris ordered Adult Swim to air Chuck Norris Karate Commandos due to the lack of Chuck Norris on the block.

Chuck Norris was once told by someone that a round house kick is not the most effective kick. Analysts have concluded that this was the greatest mistake in human history.

They need to make a T shirt that reads
DON'T **** WITH THE CHUCK
and put a picture of KK Chuck Norris on there, he looked down right sadistic in many episodes(they apparently couldn't convey the emotion of anger correctly in episodes)
Also it was an apparent rip offf of GIIJOE with hints and bits of Flash Gordon(Main badguy looks like Ming, just with giant metal arm)
Also it was filled with so many sterotypes that it would make any racist sect look humble
and had killer dolphins in one episode

I have a question.
When exactly did Chuck Norris crawl back into the national vernacular? I swear that I keep seeing his name in the strangest places. At first I thought it was just confined to the internet, but no...no Chuck's name keeps popping up in other places and now he is coming to AS.
I can't say I understand or am happy about this turn of events.

No no no. It was definitely Conan O'Brien's fault. He's the one who made everyone remember Walker: Texas Ranger when NBC merged with Universal and he started playing those clips. At least, I have to assume that's what started it, because it's the only Chuck Norris fad that has a logical explanation behind it.
YTMND definitely did not start it, I know that much. Chuck Norris Facts came before that.

I can't say I understand or am happy about this turn of events. Let me sum this up:
-There was an SNL skit with Chuck Norris jokes and college kids went crazy.
-Someone made up a website about those jokes and college kids bounce off the walls.
-People quickly forgot thanks to Dave Chapelle. (in a way was good and bad)
-Conan did those Chuck Norris skits, but they only were funny because Walker Texas Ranger was so bad.
-People forgot again.
-The site I mentioned was updated about a month ago when the site was already 3 years old.
-Stupid people who never saw it before now think it's new and funny.
-Everyone now jokes about him so YTMND.com and Newgrounds rides on him.
-I want to punch every kid in my school who even dares to mentions his name.

I think Chuck Norris has become a figure similar to William Shatner or Adam West in popular culture, but doesn't get it. Shatner and West have embraced and made good on their undignified images as animate self-parodies, but Norris seems to neither embrace nor understand this ideal. Oh well, I suppose that's part of what makes it work, to the extent that it does.

Yes, but Shatner and West have been around much longer to embrace this sort of self-referential idea. And both of them seem to have no problem with it. That's why Shatner can be on Priceline commericals or West can lend that voice of his to a college project.

One of the VA's for the characters in this show voices my namesake in "G-Force". Look up "Sam Fontana".
Can't believe this fad has reached AS. Pretty convenient that they had an old '80's Norris toon in their H-B vaults. I've been watching Cartoon Network almost since its inception in 1992 and I have YET to have seen this show in my lifetime or recall it ever being scheduled on CN. Which isn't a good sign considering CN probably played 95% of their massive H-B library back in their early years considering there wasn't anything else to air.
I assume this show may have made an apperance on their old 'It Came From The Vault" block or at the very least late-nights, cuz no chance it hell has it ever aired in the day.

How laughable.
Am I right to believe that it was technically okay to kick people and not to punch them on 80s television show like this. Because for a karate kommando, all Chuck does is kick people, doesn't even lay a fist on them. All the intro was was kicking, kicking, kicking.

That's the one I blame. the whole premise of the movie was to set up a scene to deliver the line "Thank you, Chuck Noris" after he saves the day.
(And really, can you complain about Walker, Texas Ranger? I mean he singlehandedly kept an entire Plate-Glass factory working. Think of all the Jobs! Not to mention all the stuntmen that they employed so that they coud kick a different body-type through a window every episode.)
Chuck Norris is good for Jobs, so Chuck Norris is Good for America.
Thank you, Chuck Norris.

For every kick that Chuck Norris made, he landed five punches, but his kicks were too fast to let light land on the punches.
Chuck Norris Karate Commandos had to be animated, because it was based on real events filmed in real time, but those events proved too much for the cameras to handle.

-Sealab looks closer to the 2020 version and not the one seen in Centurions
-Kickass music, same guys who did everything for the good cartoons they did back then. "Chuck calling Skyvault"
-Before Mattel marked thier heros' suit for "New Adventures of He-Man", there was Chuck Norris.
-Contrary to the title, the Dolphins are not deadly.
Classic dialouge
-"Claws' people are using Dr. Sandfords' knowledge of Sealab so they can get into Selab....and take over the place"
-"Remember THIS" (Claw threatens Angelfish on the com-liny by pointing his claw to the camera and waves it in a way that you have to see)
-Metal Gear game developers learned everything they could from a Team Norris jailbreak
-Chuck Norris can run straight through lazer rifle fire
-Chuck Norris roundhouse kicks machine equipment into powder
-Chuck Norris overloads a computer, lets out a girly scream, as if being sarcastic, for his body endures even that

Tonight, from all indications.
Seriously, y'all, only five episodes? That's all?!? That would mean cycling through the entire series every week. How long until AS gets tired of that and switches to some other H-B or R-S 'classic' from the vaults? Wait, I just remembered Boo-Boo Runs Wild; never mind.
But really, I mean, TGCS and SGT were on for two full runs, that's five weeks and a day, er, night. One of their predecessors, Gigantor, not even that. Not even one-and-a-half runs, *sighs in frustration and gives up*
Is there any place I can go for info on this show? When the half-ASed attempt at acknowledging Black History month in the graveyard hour came about I Dogpiled both shows and got all sorts of listings including full ep guides. So far nothing with this show, and no help from Yahoo, imdb, or bcdb either.

Someone had damn well better get this on YouTube!
To give people an idea of what to expect, I'm posting the one IMDB review I could find.
"Chuck Norris, Karate Kommandos" is one of the several dozen TV shows based around an action hero to come out in the mid-80's. This show, as far as action cartoons are concerned, hit all the right spots.
Pointless explosions? Check. Complete and utter disregard for continuity (i.e. Chuck Norris riding a motorcycle one second, and suddenly appearing on the back of a truck without ever showing how he got there)? Check. Children constantly in peril? Check. Ninjas, ninjas, and more ninjas? Check.
All of this, and Mr. Norris' physique which in this cartoon is about twice as buff as the actual guy (which is clear because he spends most of the show shirtless, for some reason). Even funnier, they call this show "Karate Commandos", but there's a minimal emphasis on "Karate." Most of the action involves laser guns and falling steel beams. The funniest scene I remember on this show is where Chuck Norris steals a bike from a little kid, and the kid gets all upset. Then Chuck Norris, as he heads off towards evildoers (via the kid's bike), turns back to the kid (and his friends) and says "It's Ok, Kids! I'm Chuck Norris!"
At the beginning and end of every episode, the REAL Chuck Norris, usually at a Gym or Martial Arts Studio, would talk to the camera - or us, the audience - about the moral of the day's episode, whether it be telling the truth, being a good friend, or... in an ironic turn, not stealing things from others. I guess that doesn't include bicycles?

Yes! "Hey! That's my bike!" "I'm Chuck Norris. It's an emergency. Something something American Embassy." And then his hand got really big.
But the best part was yet to come - Chuck jumps out of the plane to follow the escaping ninja - with absolutely no regard for the fact that there is a huge, unmanned plane about to crash to earth.

Nah, the best part was how a parachute loaded with three people manages to land miles away from where it fell.
Chuck Norris realized he had miss the train that he use his powerful kicks to bend time and space and warp to where the train was.
EDIT: DAMNIT MAKE THAT KID STOP SAYING TOO MUCH
He can't Dub that his name. He like a Pokemon he must say his name every chance he gets. Btw was Mona Marshall voicing him? Sounded like her.
Wow I can believe how bad this show is yet I can't look away. From Super Ninjas to sumos to Chuck Norris using a dead snake to escape to "Its OK, I'm Chuck Norris". I was laughing like I was watching Bobobo.

Tabe, the sumo champion!
With Chuck Norris, they battle the sinister forces of The Claw!
The Claw: Remember This.
And the ruthless super ninja!

Tabe - Robert Ito
Chuck - Chuck Norris
Reed - Sam Fontana
Too-Much - Mona Marshall
Pepper - Kathy Garver
The President - Alan Oppenheimer
The Claw - Bill Martin
Super Ninja - Keone Young
So I was right Mona Marshall was the voice of Too Much.

Chuck Norris Karate Commandos had to be animated, because it was based on real events filmed in real time, but those events proved too much for the cameras to handle.
Wow, I thought I was joking when I said that :p
And this show sure as hell couldn't've helped the "These cartoons aren't 30 minute toy commericals" arguement...

I've been able to see this, through the miracle of VHS and a programmable VCR.
I loved the live-action introduction, which he nearly seemed to be making up as he went.
The villain of the week was a hoot too. I loved that his weakness was being an albino, or at least having eyes like an albino. In any case, seeing THE CLAW punish him by ordering him to take his glasses off and then exposing him to bright light cracked me up.

Okkay, if this is turning into a talkback thread, I'm game. I accidentally didn't get it set up to record last night, so I'll reheat some comments I jotted down when I saw yesterday morning's episode too late.
About the concerns about stereotyping Orientals, I don't see it, although I'm not an Oriental. It seemed there were plenty of them among the good guys as well as the bad guys.
Pepper and that apprentice are siblings, noted.
A laser robot? Expect it to contribute to the fight before this is over.
I'm not even three minutes into this episode, and already I have joined the Too Much Must Die! club.
First episode, and already Chuck has a past with Claw and Super Ninja. I'm sure there would have been a flashback episode showing their first meeting if this show had gone on.
Now, that's something you don't see nearly often enough. You're hanging by your fingers, and the villain tries to stomp on said fingers, so you grab the foot and throw the villain off. Now, why don't we see that more often? To this day, people in that position on tv and in the movies just hang there and let their fingers get stomped on, and howl. No attempt to take the fight to the bad guy; why is that? If Chuck could figure it out, how hard could it be? Wait, I didn't mean that the way it sounded; I like Chuck.
He'll be around to teach Too Much's grandchildren? That kid should not be allowed to reproduce!
Now, what he actually said in that much-lampooned line was "I'm sorry, it's a national security emergency. I'm Chuck Norris; contact me at the American embassy." Now I ask you, what else could he have done or said? You're trying to catch up to the bad guy and rescue someone who no one really wants rescued, the only means of doing so is someone else's motorcycle, what do you do?
Cobra knockoffs, someone had to say it.
When the sumo guy broke the chain wiht his bare hands, I laughed at the expression on the baddie's face.
Ninja v. samurai; didn't we see this on InuYasha, or SC, or somewhere?
Well, this show wasn't a total waste; the movie Speed got its plotline from a throwaway line in this episode. If it wasn't for this show, we might have never seen Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock, um, never mind.
The sumo guy doesn't have to worry about the dungeon filling with water; he can float to the top.
All right, another line someone had to say: "Snakes, why did it have to be snakes?"
Hey, that sucker is still alive!
Chuck told his team to get the robot and they just stood there; that wouldn't have been tolerated from me. When Chuck Norris tells you to do something, you'd better hop to it!
And it hadn't been for this show, we'd never have had the Where Rovers Dare episode of Road Rovers, one of my favorites. When they slice through the trees I can hear Colleen and Hunter say, "The EPA's not going to like this." "You're just a wealth of social commentary today, aren't you?" "Just trying to stay topical, Hunty, you know, ripped from today's headlines."
Now was it really necessary for Pepper to make it about gender. Woman's touch, nothing; she just happens to be the mechanic of the group, and she just happens to be a woman, and the one has nothign to do with the other.
A little more barnstorming, and we have a cheesy '80's cartoon episode that leaves me feeling happy. All this, and a non-violence moral from our saint of the savat kick, too. See you next time.
That will be the third episode tonight. I missed the second, as I said, but I can catch it next week, by which time the caravan will have passed. Oh well.

Hey, when you've just finished fighting off a Croc-a-pult, then you can cast aspersions.
While we're on the subject, you might be asking yourself why they used a Croc-a-pult, and not a Bear-holding-a-shark-a-pult. Well, it's simple thermodynamics, really. A fight between Chuck Norris and a shark bearing bear launched from a siege engine would've annihilated everything within a radius of two miles. Dr. Claw couldn't do that without losing the shuttle too.
(As a side note: isn't it just too perfect that this show came branded with a stylized "Cartoon Network" logo? I mean, that really shows the power of Chuck Norris, that even this derivative work holds enough power to presage the creation of a cable network.)

Oh my word....The voodoo leader has feathers and wears a top hat...
How did the zombies know exactly what Norris looked like in order to make accurate dolls?
....
Chuck Norris drop kicking zombies. How did he get the Karate Kommando's out of thier cages? HE DROPKICKS THEM. How does he stop Super Ninja? HE DROPKICKS THEM! Everything he is confronted with is solved by a DROPKICK. How can you not love this?
I love how they all grab vines and leap over the coming zombie horde which makes no sense.

Super Ninja attacks Chuck Norris with zombie magic and Chuck retaliates by chucking a samurai shuriken at his wrists. XD

Which cast is more messed up? Not enough information for a valid comparison, as we know jack squat about the personal / family lives of the KKs.
I found the show's entry on bcdb; they hired a psychiatrist to come up with those pro-social messages. And it was supposedly a five-part movie. Does this seem like a movie to anyone? Can anyone connect these episodes in any way? I can't, although I've only seen two.
Anyway, to episode 3.
When I saw RL Chuck in the gym I of course thought of the Total Gym Fitness whatever that he and Mrs. Billy Joel-at-the-time are currently plugging; did anyone not?
Tabe is always eating- wait, are we sure his name's not Tubby?
Glad the satellite antenna is on our side, now there's a set-up if I ever heard one; and one that wasn't followed up. Whadda ya know, they can come up with a twist.
Head villain's pet piranha, check.
Apparently 'Norris' is a trigger word for Super Ninja's rage, and Claw knows it. Does anyone else think that SN has a hard-on for Norris?
I've not seen those attaching disc grenades anywhere else; has anyone else here?
Well, I guess Too Much is good for a little.
Someone beat me to the kamikaze, but not to the spiked gloves.
I guess that was a soft landing for the satellite, in a swamp er sum junk, but it still didn't look so good. Then again, I should look so good after a trip through the atmosphere, or was that even shown here? Not that I remember.
I think Chuck's friend's name was Tank. He wouldn't have been The Rock, who was still in school at the time. Maybe it was his father, Rocky Johnson. They never did go back for that barbell, did they?
Duh, Mr. Director! Who is this guy, Mr. Director from Animaniacs? Froynleven! Of all the superflouus lines...
Voodoo Island, wasn't that a movie? And what country owns this island, and why haven't they sent in troops to clean up that island?
Whatever you do, don't leave Too Much alone, and they didn't; I was concerned there for a second or two.
One of those zombies is dressed like a businessman; another likes like Chuck Norris himself.
BWA-HA-HA-HA-HA, it's the bokor Yaphet Kotto played on Live and Let Die! All that's missing is the Paul McCartney & Wings soundtrack.
Oh, how did the zombies know how to sculpt those voodoo dolls? Super Ninja directed them. But wait, don't you need something belonging to the victim to make the doll work?
Where's Norris? He's around. What, you think he'd send those kids onto the island and not come around himself? And how big is the island? You'd have better luck looking for him yourself, Super Ninja.
A booby trap, figures it would be Too Much who would trip it. Now, if it was a boob trap, he'd have been finished then & there.
Too Much got the doll, and it promptly went to join 'Glad it's on our side' in the plot threads that no one even tried to follow up department.
Chuck handed out tasks to 3 of his 5; what about the other 2? "Dean, keep Too Much out of trouble. Bind and gag him if you have to, or maybe even if you don't."
Tubby trying to ride that Big Wheel, well, it was smaller than a Big Wheel on him.
Two words, Chuck: friendly fire. I'm reminded of a story Dad tells about when he was in the air force. Their plane had been struck by lightning and was coming in over North America. The radio was shot, and next thing they knew there were fighter jets alongside them. They could have shot them down, but instead they got an escort. Good thing too, there was only 15 minutes of fuel left.
Maybe Chuck should have done like Rocky Squirrel and skywrote 'US Taxpayer'; the military needs all of those they can get. But instead they went for the synergy that was years and years into the future.
One more thing. The point of all this, according to RL Chuck, was that someone made a mistake. Who? What was the mistake? Us for watching this? Speak for yourselves; I'm enjoying this junior GI Joe.
Also....I found the toy commercial:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FBCtY5e-hds&search=Karate%20Kommandos

I think they just reused the name, since the Centurions Sealab is way nicer. Besides Sunrise animated Centurions. I don't think they animated this.
Not to mention Centurions wasn't so...outright...I dunno what to call this show now.

But Sunrise animated Centurions. I don't think they animated this.
Not to mention Centurions had way more eps.
Because it's Hannah-Barbera, they seemed to always include Sealab in their shows in the 80's, Centurions, now this, and the Dolphins having unexplained equipment attached to their sides was actually explained on Centurions.

There goes that "old lady" taking off -- an imposter, that is!!
Loved the live-action segments, especially what Norris said at the end. :D

Tabe made one hell of a hood ornament.
It was kind of small and off to the side, so I almost didn't notice it, but when Chuck was about to crash in the canyon, Super Ninja was doing this great full-arm clapping like a little kid going, "YAY!!"

Why do I get the feeling that Super Ninja was picked on a lot in school? He's got to be, like, the LEAST competent ninja ever.

I love how The Claw used his enormous damned claw for manipulating small objects, such as levers and microphones, for which I would expect that a massive crushing device is rather poorly suited.
I bet he's really just a frustrated porceline doll and crystal sculpture collector underneath the mean-spirited, evil exterior.
