Yes, I know it's just something small, but regardless, it's still censorship, and it a way, it ruins how hercules world was represented in some aspects, considering If I remember correctly, the blood was in the movie. So why not here? *Sigh*

I'm guessing this has to do with Square not wanting this game to be given a T rating. I know the movie was G-rated despite the blood but the MPAA doesn't seem to be as strict as the ESRB.

The Hydra didn't exactly have "blood" though. What's shown in the Japanese screens is the same slime that came out of it in the movie. If Ganon can bleed green and get an E rating, why can't the Hydra?

We found another thing changed, in regards to censorship. During one of the boss battle, Sora get's snipped. Well, the US Version...changes this abit.

Well, it doesn't really matter to much to me. As long as the game razzles and dazzles me with it's gameplay and story, I don't care. Besides, the changes seem pretty minor and doesn't seem to affect the game overall.

they could have even been done simotaniously with the translation still going on

Sega did it with the Sonic Franchise, so it's probably ok and justifiable to give a cartoon character intended for young audiances a high powered concealed weapon


Then again Yuna has no firearms whatsoever and that was from Day 1. And Cid sucks on his tooth pick instead of smoking. Also I'm pretty sure a Keyblade won't break skin and just give you a nasty bruise. So I think these censors/edits seemed to go along with things. I'm pretty sure they were not expecting that the original KH to attract that much of a wide fanbase as it did.

About the keyblade, Kingdom key and some of the early ones are about as blunt as you can get. But later ones like Oblivion and Oathkeeper are sharp swords.
