"Local Superhero/Talkshow Host
Arrested in Interplanetary Sex Ring"

"Can you all come down to jail and get me out of jail? 'Cause guess where I am. Jail." --the suspect, Space Ghost
Ghost Planet--late night host of "Space Ghost Coast to Coast" was arrested late last night on several counts of child molestation during a mantis police sting. Police Chief Zorak: "The victims were both playing outside their homes when they were approached by Mr. Ghostal, it is likely he had been listening for quite some time when he learned they were home alone."

It is believed that this occurred on a regular basis for many days. Finally a concerned citizen managed to photograph him. When the police found Space Ghost he was with the children in the woods. Police were met with hostility but eventualy Tad Ghostal was taken down. In custody, Ghostal pleaded not-guilty claiming to be framed by Batman and then his recently parolled twin brother Chad Ghostal who has responded: "I'm, like, out of jail. Loose, is what I'm sayin'. Like a loose meat sandwich" and had no intentions of going back.

I think Tad will go free after the defendants end up missing and presumed eaten while giving their statements to the police.

It's nice to know that I wasn't the only one who thought that when I read the TPB
Space Ghost is a filthy filthy Supposedly Dead Space Man
They should make it an Original Action series....because it would be awesome

That's the moral. Space Ghoast is funny and has to make you laugh, otherwise he sucks and should be made fun of. To make you laugh.:p

Glad I'm not closeminded enough to typecast a cartoon character......
The Space Ghost mini pwns your soul, so in the end the only moral is the guy who did this has a bad sense of humor and too much free time for their own good.
Wait... people actualy read this and thought it was good? It's so ugly... and... terrible. Coast to Coast or not.

Uhuh. More obvious than Batman and Robin's "special bond".
I dig that interpretation of Zorak though. Real primal.

It was pretty lame, in my opinion. Say what you will about Space Ghost as an action hero but grim 'n gritty Space Ghost just doesn't work. And it's so hard to take the characters seriously at this point that I have to question if it's even worth the effort. It sold well, though, so we'll probably get a sequel. Darned masses.
Dug SJ's bit. Thought it was funny. Easily pleased.
As a maybe-intersting and semi-related sidenote, real-life local supehero Captain Jackson was recently arrested and his secret identity revealed (http://www.sploid.com/news/2006/01/the_town_that_h.php) because of a DUI. It's just like in Daredevil, only with 100% more booze and 100% less hot Russian spy.

I was trying to figure that out. The art is just so lumpy, over-the-top, and outright weird that it seemed like an awful lot of effort just for a joke, but I guess it's one of the best kinds of joke, those one-sided, sour sorts that come out of somebody taking the wrong thing too seriously.
So... bwahahahahahahaha!

You guys are evil.
In the comic, Thaddeus had lost both his wife and unborn child. When he sees the kids running off (that he saved), he sees the father that he could have been, and the childlike innocence puts that smile on his face.
...
Gah, this board's more like 4Chan than the anime forum.

In the comic, Thaddeus Wait, was his name always Thaddeus from the beginning? I mean, back in the HB show?
I always assumed "Tad" was a WS joke. If it did originate from Coast to Coast that's kind of funny.had lost both his wife and unborn child.Well Zorak's nephew Raymond died and he didn't get a comic.

In the comic, he was Thaddeus Bach. He was betrayed; the people who betrayed him killed his pregnant wife and left him for dead on a planet.
Hence why he's "Space Ghost"; if the universe thought he was dead, he'll be a ghost to get revenge.

Joke or not
And IIRC he did not make an appearance in the SG comic, so that's all I have to go one in terms of recent Gleek pictures

Curse you HB for creating characters with the same archtype with the same animation style allwithin the same time frame and that easily confuse!!

Gigan...
Saying that Alex Toth contributed to "a dry well of ideas" horribly offends me.
Anyway, slightly related, I have a theory. The Space Ghost mini was well-recieved, sold well, and DC said they had plans for him later. We never got a sequel mini or ongoing, BUT...
DC has also said a character "with a well-established history" would make "his first appearance in the DC Universe".
I think Space Ghost is coming to the DCU.
I think Space Ghost is coming to the DCU.
Only if someone there starts watching Adult Swim. The idea of Space Ghost as a serious character is STILL not going to work.
I curse your dry well of ideas!
H-B were never the most innovate group around. Birdman and SG have almost the exact same powers, for instance.

In addition:
The story to almost every ep. of Space Ghost: Bad guy capture side-kicks, Space Ghost save side-kicks, Space Ghost saves the day
The story of almost every ep, of Birdman: Bad guy captures Birdman, side-kicks save Birdman, Birdman saves the day
Of course this made Birdman really lame even relative to Space Ghost.
