I've heard no discussion about the latest one yet. Those with a copy, let's hunt through and see if we can find the faker.

I thought that sounded fake as well
the majority of the games seemed to be cellphone games

I agree; Steve Jobs in no way would have let THAT one gone unannounced had it really been true, and so if it was, a more credible and renowned publication than EGM would have reported this one.
Still, does anyone besides me HATE it when EGM does this? I remember when EGM did the fake "Get Sonic and Tails as playable characters on Super Smash Bros. Melee", and I (yes, I am ashamed to admit it) fell for it along with a bunch of my friends.
Needless to say, I was not very happy (along with the blisters on my fingers) when I found out that it was fake.
Thus, I really dislike it when EGM does something like this. Does anyone else agree?

No, it's fun to watch people squirm when their false hopes are crushed by the iron foot of reality

It's bad journalism. Video game publications lose enough credibility as it is with the constant rumors and speculations that turn out to be more false than any April Fool's joke. Save the gags for something less harmful and less serious.

Noted. So what is PSM's "big" announcement for April 1st for this year?

None
I thought the ability to play DS games on the PSP was a joke, but apparently not so

Wha you say!?!?
Is this with emulation?
How do they even come close to emulating it? People still haven't quite gotten that to work on PCs yet.

I remember when British mag Computer and Video Games did this every April fools too. One time they did this cheat for a FIFA game that'd let you play a all-star video game team of Mario, Sonic, crash etc, with some tiny but well done fake screenshots. It was blantently fake, but cute.

I agree with everyone who said the iGame- the mockup provided looks pretty crappy, and how would you play FPS games like Call of Duty?

That's the kinda thinking which made Stuff Gamer a one time release. Over 1/2 of the magazine was spent on making fun of gamers in general, and then at the very end they started to pretend the previous pages didn't exist and did serious reviews.
EGM is a different story hense they're known for this already. Yet the community has already grown tired of this. Thanks to the internet and smarter gamers, it's harder to pull the wool over our eyes. And nobody ever speaks of the the made up games EGM or Game Informer come up with every month in their editorials. Nobody.

But this is one small thing in one magazine out of the zillions of other gaming magazines, with the obvious starring you pretty much in the face
Also the made up games are a "What if", PSM does it as well.

Due to my burning hatred of "April Fools Day" yes! it doens't help that the "april" issue is shipping in March.
And what ever happened to the beginning of the month, it's now the 13th and I havn't seen EGM anywhere! Stop making up s*** and get the mag out on time!

The only problem is that it comes out so far in advance that you sometimes aren't really looking for it. On April 1, I'm prepared for all the fake news stories in the world, but in the middle of March, I'm not always thinking about it.
Usually they're pretty obvious though. Anyone who tried to unlock Sonic and Tails in Melee, or Yoshi in Pokemon(was that EGM or someone else, I forget?), deserves to lose that time.

Any other potentially bogus stories? I'd really like an iGame >_>

Heck, the mainstream media comes dangerously close to making up their own news all the time. At least with video game news there's no real harm done other than making a few gamers feel like suckers for a few seconds. :D

I'm such an idiot. I forgot that it was the April issue while reading it. I totally bought the Apple story and got kind of excited about it. :(
