OK, I've started playing my ToS gave again, and I've been wanting to stock up on Grade for when I play my second game. Is there any place around where I could get more than 1.5 Grade per battle?

I forgot how grade works, but I know you can get a crapload of money by fighting the earth temple dragon over and over again. He's not that tough and it's pretty much the only way to get enough to rebuild the town.

I don't really care about Gold since that doesn't work on the 2nd-game-bonus-item Menu.

Get Colette to learn steal and equip her with the ability stones in a certain order. She should then be able to steal Gold and Items 100% of the time, and enemies like the flying Swords in the Mana Tower carry expensive items that you can sell back for alot.

I did it sorta this way(the constant stealing but I did not have the 100% flawless steal ability) and got half-way even before I first entered the other world(I couldn't complete it because the story needed to progress)

Other than that, Earth Dragon is the way to go for Grade and such

Like I said, I don't need Gold. I've already beaten the game once, but I want to get a whole lotta Grade (I rarely spent any and I've got only 1,200, while it takes at least 8,000 to buy the stuff I want from the menu) for when I do the second quest. The Earth Dragon doesn't give more than 1.2 or so Grade. I've even tried beating up the enemies in the beginning of the game and the highest I can get is 1.24, which is annoying since I still need around 7500...

Have you tried increasing the battle difficulty?

I remember getting either very high or very low grade during boss battles. Try using a lot of techs in your fights and see what happens.

I have another question. How do you open the seal door whit the 5 fans in Balacrut Mausoleum?

Good ways to increase grade intake:
-link up combos (like connect a lvl 1 to a lvl 2 move, etc)
-increase the amount of consecutive hits
-finish battles quickly

A good place to get grade, in my my opinion, Nifheim, which is at the end of the game. Lots of battles and can be replayed over and over again, assuming you don't defeat the final boss. :)

And rainman, here's a link to the map on Gamefaqs (http://db.gamefaqs.com/console/gamecube/file/tales_of_symphonia_balacruf.gif)

Are you using items in battle? using an Item usually decreases your grade, also if someone dies.

Most of the time, I win the battle in a couple sword slashes, and I rarely use items in battle. Hell, I don't think I've ever used an item in battle.
