I'm very sorry by the mistake that I've comitted to type the wrong address at the topic related to the radical changes on the line-up from Boomerang Latin America (http://www.cartoonnetwork.com.br/boomerang or http://www.cartoonnetworkla.com/english/boomerang), which will happen in April. This mistake occured when I was typing (very fast) the post from last Saturday, more exactly on the closing time from the place where I was.
And now, here's the rightful address from the link that I'll pass for you: http://forums.goldenagecartoons.com/showthread.php?t=5675. This topic is located on the GAC forums (http://forums.goldenagecartoons.com). And I'd like that you read this topic, that includes commentaries of mine about this article.
Please, send your opinions and comments about this same topic on this forum.
I wish good luck 4 U on this visit!
Well, that's it!
Ciao!

You could've just edited the other topic. It would've been easier.

Edit: SWEET CRANBERRY BUTTER!!! What the heck are they thinking?

Oh, good heavens, let's pray that CN doesn't have similar plans to renovate our Boomerang.

You know, since I've actually seen the Boomerang LA schedule (which aside from Pink Panther, Popeye, and Garfield, is ABSOLUTE CRAP), I don't really mind this change. We'll be getting Totally Tooned In, which is definitely a plus for me.

Oh, and rodinei, there's no need for putting big pictures on your posts. You can put your name and e-mails in your signature. There's also no need for putting greetings and the time in every single post (the latter is put automatically by forum software).

Another Boomerang bites the dust. At least they kept some classics and hey... Live action or not those LA comedies are also classics. I also like the new logo a bit but the old one was fine. But honestly... it's still a shame. There should be one network that can air truely vintage cartoons forever and CN is determined to not let that be so.

US Boomerang starting bringing in 90's and 00's stuff bit by bit already and it's only a matter of time before much of the usual Boomerang line-up has been replaced by more modern stuff. This SHOULD NOT happen. CN should make another channel for the silverage stuff and let the vintage cartoons have somewhere to show for years to come. I could live with a mix of both but Boomerang died a lot when Looney Tunes was removed almost or perhaps entirely. It's rediculous and a shame.

I like Jeff Harris' avatar on that board. It's a crack up and all too true.

Look, I understand CN is going for kids and that's fine. But they need to take into account that teenagers and adults like cartoons as well and there's enough of them out there for those viewers 12 and up to have a channel at least slightly focused towards their tastes. And no that shouldn't be an Adult Swim channel but Adult Swim could be a part of it. Goldenage, Silverage and the great stuff from 2000's which CN has burried or given up on. There should be a channel for that. If that has to be Boomerang, so be it (as long as you have classics from WB, HB, etc and not in short supply) but obviously Boomerang isn't that with Baby Looney Tunes airing mid-day.

My only problem with this is... well, if the CN logo is removed from the Boomerang promotion it's not limited to air cartoons, but the Boomerang name still suggest that shows old stuff.

About live-action, Cindy Kerr, Vicepresident of programming and acquisitions of CN and Boomerang LA, said in an interview: "I'm a purist and I have worked very hard to maintain best animation in Cartoon Network and the only way that I would like to explore the 'live action' content for the channel would be in case there were a special presentation, if it has an ingredient like 'this cannot happen actually in your world nor in your life', a content where the fantasy must be involved because we spoke of Cartoon Network".
