"Lucky Girl"

Ben goes XLR8 to stop a magician from robbing a museum. When Gwen ends up with one of the charms from the Magician, she finds she has amazing luck, and public attention.

This is going to be one of my favorites. Gwens part was great, even if all went strait to her head. I was a little bothered with the last episode bringing magic into what is otherwise an alien action show. But this show had the Talisment magic similar to "Jackie Chan Adventures" and had a slight "Raven" feel. Gwen almost immediately picking up a superhero outfit was a scream.:anime:

In regards to the magic thing, I'm not bothered by it. I think of Ben's world as more like a comic book. Mutants, mad scientists, aliens and monsters already exist, so why not magic. Also, Grandpa definitely has had some experience with aliens and other weird phenomena, so magic isn't too much of a stretch for him to accept.

I don't think so. Beyond the idea he was fighting medieval monsters. It was brief, but it was cool.

This episode gets a B+. Even though Gwen's brief period as a superhero wasn't what I expected, she chose a great outfit as "Lucky Girl." At the end, Gwen didn't need her lucky powers to stop Hex, and she learned that being a hero isn't always everything.

The first eight episodes looked like they were setting up for something big. You know setting up the heroes' limits, possible main villians and such, and the main bad guy. The only problem is so far, for what? I haven't seen anything that made my jaw drop, but maybe their saving that for the season finale. Or maybe season 2. There's no rush as they are already greenlight for season 3.

Four Arms: Hellboy
When Four Arms picks up a giant stone sword to attack the animated stone creatures, it's much like the scene in the movie Hellboy, where Hellboy picks up a similar sword to attack a giant creature.

I wouldn't say this is a stretch; look at lines on Four Arms face in the close-up.

it reminded me more of Guts from Berserk for some strange reason The incredibly large sword, that doesn't even make sense. Except it did in Ben10's case because Four arms, ummm, had four arms and was incredibly strong.

Looks like the show is still setting up villians and such, judging by today's episode. I guess I am going to have to wait for the second season for things to get serious. The creators must have realized that CN usually doesn't cancel a show till the second season. I guess I can't wait for it too pick up.

I want screen caps too. Ben 10 has been almost impossible to get, Lucky Girl in particular. Even the Ben 10 sites don't seem to have them, US animation is like that. But I keep "pushing buttons" and sooner or later I hope to find some.
