Also, there is a mini Captain Planet marathon on Saturday April 22nd. Probably to celebrate Earth Day.

Still no Looney Toons? In due time, Boomerang will be nothing more than "Classic Cartoon Network."

That is likely the case though CN's originals have been limited to Dexter on Boomerang thus far.
Either they need to have all the vintage shows on one channel for Boomerang and make a second CN for the 90's-00's on up and the shows CN just doesn't want to air anymore. Or perhaps they could divide it by HB/CN and WB. So there's an HB/CN branch with classic HB and others that aren't WB related along with old CN originals and what they deem failures and there could be a WB Animation network with WB animation new and old. Or perhaps WB Family Network which would have animation and live action programing (so none of that hybrid crap would be on CN).

Why did they have to break up the Mr T episodes. I just want to set the DVD recorder and only worry every two hours about swapping discs.

Weekends (April 2 to April 30)
2:00PM-4:00PM Tom & Jerry
Boomerang is officially 6 years old on April Fool's Day (April 1), 2006; they usually run Tom & Jerry cartoon marathons to celebrate every year on the air. :tomcat: :jerry:
Let's hope this time they show T&J cartoons aside from the theatrical shorts and The Tom & Jerry Kids Show (including my personal fave---the 1975 version (http://www.1975tomjerry.50megs.com/)!)! :p

Wow. I haven't seen Mr. T on Boomerang (or anywhere else) since early 2003. Great news for classic cartoon fans. :anime:

It'll be nice to see The Addams Family again. It's been quite a while since it aired on Cartoon Network. I saw it when it first aired on ABC in the early 90's. John Astin reprised his role as Gomez, doing just as great a job voicing the character as he did portraying him in the original series from the 60's. And Rip Taylor was great as Uncle Fester. Loved how he got a kick out of blowing himself up with TNT.

Now all they need to do is dig up the 1973-75 NBC version from the vaults...

I think it'll be the 90's Addams Family, since that's the one that's essentially based off the movies, with Fester and Gomez being brothers, the fully mobile Thing, and Cousin It as a super suave chick magnet. (Which have been played A LOT on HBO over the last two months.)

I pity the fool who don't watch Mr. T!
Oh, c'mon now. Somebody had to say it. :D
And still no Looney Tunes? Caramba! >.<

Scatter-Zoom! :D :anime:  :)
I just checked out Boomerang's schedule and discovered that Boomerang from Cartoon Network will re-air Hanna-Barbera's made-for-TV 1975 New Tom & Jerry cartoons once again (for the first time since A Weekend Of Saturdays in January 2004!), as part of its annual weekend T&J April marathons which will launch this Sunday, April 2 @ 3 p.m. (EST)! The episodes which will run are "HB T&J #25/HB T&J #30/HB T&J #31/HB T&J #29/HB T&J #26/HB T&J #27/HB T&J #28."
Begin with a grin when you tune in to New Tom & Jerry on Boomerang!! :tomcat: :jerry:

I'm watching the "Taking on Mr. T" marathon right now. They had better not be serious about the "losers" having to leave Boomerang forever. (I can see Dexter or DD leaving, but not good ol' Bugs or Magilla Gorilla, or even Secret Squirrel!)
But then, when was the last time you saw Bugs Bunny on Boomerang?
Maybe Mr. T. got him already. (I can almost hear Elmer saying, "And after all these years, I was doin' it the wong way with that scwewy wabbit!")
I'm putting this message here because I didn't want to post it in a "Talkback" thread that turned out to be an "April Fools" gag thread.

If that's true, then Popeye's packing his bags right now, because he lost against T, and I'm assuming Magilla and Papa Smurf will lose, too. I think the only reason Scooby won his fight is because CN/Boomerang can't have their top dog be embarrassed like that.

It looks like Mr. T has one last match for the night: a tag team match with Chuck Norris against the Adult Swim Action line-up :D

Justice League ALREADY?!? I could sort of understand Duck Dodgers a little ONLY because it used classic characters (I still argue against that decision) but JL? Pfff....
At least Tickle U doesn't seem to be doing well enough to take over.

Well, B:TAS and S:TAS are already there, so why not add Justice League and make it an all-DC Comics midnight block?
No danger of Tickle U taking over...for now. It's just about gone from CN's schedule. (Now, if only their shows would disappear...)

I suppose a midnight-DC block would work. I just don't want the channel to go all new cartoons on me. Bringing Dexter over was bad enough. I like the show, I just don't want it on Boomerang. They could try to find more strange and lost shows from the vault, there are a ton of them still untouched. I'd watch them.

I agree, why in the hell are shows like Dexter, Justice Leauge, Duck Dodgers, Batman, Captain Planet, and Baby Looneytunes on Boomerang, there not even old, granted that Batman and Captain Planet both aired in the 90's, seeing as Cartoon Network is Neglecting shows from the 80's except a Pup named Scooby Doo, Addmans Family, and the short run of He Man
Tobias

The Addams Family was from the early 90's, and the He-Man run was the new version, and I don't think they even aired the entire series, just the first season.
The only 80's shows Boomerang airs are Richie Rich, A Pup Named Scooby Doo, Smurfs, and Snorks, although they might be stealth airing Yogi's Funtastic Treasure Hunt if they're airing Yogi's cartoons like CN did a few years ago.

H-B produced episodes of The Smurfs that airs on Boomerang is from 1981. Sure the characters were around in Europe since the 60s, but they didn't have a following in America outside of kids who grew up on military bases in West Germany.
The animated Snorks series is from 1984. They didn't debut until 1974 in comic books. They weren't from the 60s.
They weren't like the Flintstones since Fred and Barney were animated before they became part of comic books.
