I just read a more indepth version of the upfront article which mentioned Ben 10 season 2 will start in May on Saturdays at 10AM and the show would enter the weekday strip that month as well.
Weekdays with only 13 episodes? I think we've got a new level of overkill here.
The Batman had CN footing the bill and it didn't do that. Teen Titans waited until 24 episodes before a weekday run as well. JLU has 26+ and it didn't get a weekday run. Zatch Bell has nearly 52 and it doesn't have a weekday run. Naruto will have 26 episodes by tommorow (usually what it takes to get on weekdays if the ratings are good, and Naruto's ratings are indeed quite good) and there is no weekday airings in sight (despite it not airing on Toonami at all for 5+ weeks leaving 12AM on Fridays as it's only slot for 5+ weeks).
I know CN likes to play favorites. I'm also aware Ben 10 is doing well. But man... just 13 episodes and it's on weekdays? That's just madness. It doesn't even get 3 weeks without re-airing an episode and its not as if those episodes haven't already been played far too many times in various extra and marathon showings of Ben 10.
They should at least wait until there are 20.. I guess I can hope that they'll at least wait until there's 15 so 2 season two episodes will air in the planned strip besides just season 1.
As for where it will air. It's 5 days a week so that leaves Miguzi, pre-Miguzi and post Miguzi. It wont be pre-Miguzi, it's too important for that. Most likely in Miguzi due to Miguzi already showing Ben 10 on occasion. But post-Miguzi will be open if Xiaolin Showdown moves to an earlier slot or they maybe put it after Xiaolin at 6:30PM. But for now, I'd wager Miguzi. There's really no reason not to air it there.

First, that's 2 months away, it could easily change.
Second, do you have a link to the article?

I noticed they still have OP and Naruto set for premieres at 9:30 and 9PM respectively. However... Zatch Bell is listed for 8:30PM so none of that is set in stone.
I wouldn't say Ben 10 airing on weekdays that soon is set in stone either but I don't think they would have annouced plans to air it on weekdays if they didn't really want it on weekdays yet. This seems like a plan to promote the series up the wahzoo so those toys will sell and what not. Ben 10 is just another show meant to gain 6-11 and sell them toys but it seems its been put on the fast track and isn't pacing itself like Teen Titans did. Which could make or break the franchise as a whole.

I don't think so. Overkill? Showing the 53 episdoes of Baby Looney Tunes for 2 hours every weekday. I might be mistaken, but I don't think CN one of their own shows become this much of a hit recently. I remember when KnD was first starting up and immensly popular, the showed the frequently, at least three times a day. CN is just proud of their new star. I mean the show was renewed for a 3rd season even before the first much less the second aired. To me Ben10 isn't currently the best show yet, right now I think its just setting up villians, and the heroes powers.

don't most CN originals get stripped with 13 or less episodes pretty quickly  I am pretty sure that at least Billy & Mandy did and Fosters to?

to my mind they're showing it quite often already. I've been able to see it at least three times a week without trying. they seem to like to run a daytime show often in the beginning. I like seeing it a few times through the week and would be surprized if it stay as Saturday morning only. Everyday is a little much for so few shows, but didn't JuniperLee get the same treatment?
(two hours of strait BabyLooneyTunes? I'm glad I missed that)

It did for a week or so on Miguzi but this seems to be implying more than a week.

Well, since CN just ordered season 3 of Ben 10, then who's to say they won't have season 2 episodes showing by the time they plug Ben 10 onto the weekday block? I doubt they'll air 26 weeks staright of new episodes, but if they are already showing season 2 by that time, they coul easily have 3 to 4 weeks worth of episodes.

They're probably just glad because it's the first original they (the Higgins Administration) made without Register on board.

The article seemed to suggest that new episodes from season 2 would premier at the same time as the show is going to begin its weekday run.

Then why is Register credited as executive producer?

Because these were apparently held over from 2005 as the episodes thus far have had a 2005 copywrite and typically the copywrite date is the last thing to be added to a show.

Ben 10 is CN's best show right now, and is doing great in the ratings. Of course they'll extend it. It's only natural.

Ben 10 is CN's best show right now
That'd be a matter of opinion but can you honestly say it stacks up to JLU? JLU isn't quite done yet. How about non-action shows like Foster's? Ed, Edd n Eddy? Billy and Mandy? What have you...
Personally I enjoy My Gym Partner's a Monkey more than Ben 10 but Ben 10 is growing on me a bit.
"Best new show" I might buy. Since 2006's additions thus far have been uh... under par for the most part. But "best show right now"? You must really like Ben 10 to say that because I don't think many people would.
However, Ben 10 is the most viewed action show on CN (at least for January) beating the previous champ Naruto by a bit. So it's working out for them obviously. Another season of 13 episodes is not the least bit unexpected... though... Megas never got that. And honestly to me... Ben 10 is a poor man's Megas XLR complete with Steven Blum (though Ben 10 doesn't have pop culture references).

I'm not a JLU fan so that means nothing to me.
Foster's is excellent, but it's new episodes have sucked as of recently. Double-D is the only reason to watch EEnE as far as I'm concerned. And I'm not really a Billy and Mandy fan, I only watch it if there's nothing else on.

Guys, I'm closing this thread, but let me explain why...
CN changes schedules a lot. They do this to keep things fresh, and just because an online press release mentions it, doesn't mean it will happen. The upfront articles are merely outlines of the year and DO change. There has been several years in which they promised shows, only to be delayed. Rather than keep up this conversation, let's wait until a commercial to verify the release.
