why are they making a big deal of an episode of grimthat already aired
what a waste of money for cartoon network to do

I noticed that airing too last Sunday night. I thought it was just a repeat ad for the episode when it originally aired or something but no, it's a new ad made strictly for the repeat. My guess? It got a good deal of ratings so CN promotes whenever it airs. Which I guess is a good thing (the ep was pretty good IMHO) but yeah it does seem like a waste.

if its popular then i know why they are doing this

copying spongebob lost in time, cn sure would like 8 million viewers in one half hour

Maybe they got the guy who does those "On an all-new Boo Boo Goes Wild!" commercials to do the advertising for CN's regular shows.

Honestly, it happens a lot. CN will advertise a rerun as new and hope that nobody notices. The first time I remember them doing it was with "The Headsucker's Moxy" episode of PPG. (it was advertised as new a few months after it aired) I've seen it happen quite a few times after that. (can't remember the exact shows/episodes, sorry)

This goes to show that CN is desperate for more viewers.

Like every other network on the planet! I think they advertise this because its new in the "normal" timeslot. My guess is that if the series premieres in an odd slot, they want to let all of the usual viewers know its a new episode so they watch it.

CN will advertise a rerun as new and hope that nobody notices. Not once in the ad was it said that the show was "new." I find it kinda stupid when anything does a moronic "Spongebob" promotion for a double (or just new) episode, but it gets the ratings. Still, it'd made more sense to have the promotion before the episode aired.

Looking at the initative, it's actually kind of obvious why this ep got heavy promotion even after it was aired: CN's copying Nick's plan of overpromoting any "special" episode of a high ranking show for high ratings. Notice how "Lost In Time" still gets ad after it already aired? Well they're doing it for "Keeper Of The Reaper" since it's a 30 minute Billy and Mandy episode, which I guess is "Special" enough to CN. I have a feeling we'll be seeing that a lot more this year too with other various "special" episodes of top ranking shows.

Most likely it was just a funny episode. I have to say that it was honestly one of the funniest episodes in the series. Never had a show in the series made me laugh the way that one did. The song, the character Fred FredBurger, the reapperance of the judge, even the musical score at the end. I laughed when a Mandy's parents said that a pack of wolves came to raise Mandy as one of their own, and then the father mused whether they did the right thing. Maybe they thought that the show didn't get the viewship it could have with a bit better advertising.

FWIW I'm not a fan of Billy and Mandy in any way, but I did like that ep.

This is my guess, I think this episode is promoted alot is because they are airing agesnit the Oscars which is going to be airining at the same time. And this is one of my most favorite episodes of Billy and Mandy.

Don't Billy and Mandy and the Oscar's cater to different audiences. I would like to say we are the show's target audience, but then I would be deluding myself.

Maybe they see it as a gateway episode of Billy and Mandy. And whats does FWIW mean anyway.

I liked the ep. and thought it was ok but Fred was annoyingand kind of gay
I mean especially while their singing he's he has to go . And the judge looked really gay after he said this and then he could'nt wait forhim to leave so they could hurry up and finish .

Exactly what I was thinking.

This goes to show that CN is desperate for more viewers.

Definitely.

Perhaps they're testing the market to see if FFB should get his own show. If so, they've got my vote!
